it's performances like this and Astor's work in general that make me wonder if Tango dancing has become too insulated. Adhering to the rigidity of past classics and the "Golden Age" of tango orchestras. to combine modern performance art, Piazzolla and traditional tango sequences may do much to expand the sphere of influence that tango already holds on the dedicated musicians, social dancers, students and performers. it is a wondrous thing. the mystery, depth, clarity and dark insinuations like slivers of hot liquid in our veins. Astor Piazzolla and Anne Meyers piece prove that Tango has room to expand and change.
what an instrument!!!!!!! it's terrifying my god it looks alive!!!!!! i have never heard such a violin! of-course Anne performance is outstanding but the instrument is just unbelievable
She is concerned to show the capabilities of the instrument instead of the music. She is reading the notes but Piazzolla nusic is lost amidst high volume or excessive portamento. It is a pity for so a wonderful artist.
I totally see your point, but having an instrument with such capabilities would be a shame not to explore these colors, and share with the audience. I mean you can always listen to more "by the composer's book" interpretations, but very rarely something like that. I don't believe that Piazzolla himself would mind that much after this sounding experience on his piece. That said, you can understand why I disagree with your last sentence though. That is what makes her a wonderful artist.
100 years Piazolla, this si time for a tribute!!!

Somebody knows where I can find the sheet music for this piece???
Superb. I wonder where I could get this arrangement. Anyone knows, this arrangement exactly what they play here.
It appears Akiko did her own here... it is for sure. I know this tango in many versions but I heard none like this.
De Pie por favor👏👏👏👏
Magnificent interpretation!
I wish I had the score for violin and piano but I can't find it. Can you advise me where I can buy or find this score?
The trick with Piazolla is to make your own arrangement ... I mean this seriously.
@@SFKelvin im trying to arrange this, wish me luck@.@
Nicely done. (BTW, I hope Anne never leaves that violin in a taxi...)
inspired ...
a piece to hear at dying!
Bellisimo¡¡¡¡¡
👍👍👏😍
Its not the same without a bandoneon.... that sadness only gives the bandoneon...
The bandoneon is a fine instrument, to be sure. However it would be a shame if you were immune to the superb artistry you may witness here.
@@commontater8630 yes the Stradivari put this to a totally new level Astor may never have imagined!
¡BELLEZA! ....
Dios.
E te da dove sbughi????..........non ho parole. PUNTO
Me repela un poco el exceso de cachondeo. Esta canción no es un baile, es puro dolor......
The video and audio are clearly out of sync
Totally in sync on my system.

They are right on.

Audience has no appreciation for Astor Piazzolla. Shameful. Clapping felt more like it was from a child's recital as opposed to a concert.
