Respect to the man keeping the decorum.....he could say a lot.......he knew what went down in '04 and he gave nothing.........OORAH brother 2/1 loves ya
Respect to Ryan, and all his guests, please smash the thumbs up
Everyone... This channel needs every subscription right now. If you have ever viewed an episode and not clicked Subscribe or have watched three episodes.. now is the time. We can do things like get Ryan to 100k
Not this interview. So dry, slow, and terrible conversation with minimal effort on his part. Good to put you to sleep though
@@Juicememelord I might disagree. Not everyone is as energetic as you might like. This gent might come off as ho hum. In the mix I'm sure he was not as you might surmise. Calm cool. Collected.
This does not discount that Ryan and this page needs a bit of an uplift to reach the goal. I sure do not get a damn dime for saying this.
I don't think the dry interview is Ryan's fault on this one. The guy he is interviewing is just dry. Ryan has some of the best interviews I've ever seen.
Great show/podcast and guest, Grateful for warriors Like Joel that served our country!
An exceptional episode but then they all are. Thanks!
It's a cold, shitty Rainy Saturday here In Seattle...so I'm going to just relax and watch this episode. Thank you Ryan for putting these together., I hope you achieve major success on here!
🤘🏻🇺🇲❤️
Hasn't changed since I was up there 80-83 kinda miss it at least in the summer !
Rest in Peace, Caleb Nelson.
Awesome
Joel is a solid dude that is one of the most humble guys I know.
Ryan... The editing of this one with the transitions from speaker to speaker helps us hard of hearing. Thank you for this method. I hope you continue to produce these videos in this style. I know its not always possible. Your efforts are valued
Upstate New York. USMC. Viet Nam thank you for your service welcome home
Wishing you a Happy Healthy and Safe 2024
🤗🙏💙🏆🎖️
I thank you both for your service...and your families for allowing you to serve us. Now...more importantly(😂), for better audio...try a few foam baffles on the corrugated wall there. God bless you guys and prayers for the families of the 2 we just lost🇺🇲🤙😎🤙🇺🇲
Families don't have much to do with it if a person wants to serve. At 18 you can enlist in the military and serve whether your family thinks they can 'allow it' or not. Neither of my parents wanted me to enlist. They were completely against it, and even tried to 'forbid' me from doing so. I enlisted anyway and spent 12 years in the Army. Not sure why you think family has to allow it..
@mattjack3983 with all due respect(said with sincerity)..that's the most ridiculous thing I have ever heard in regards to military familes.
Joel, put plainly, is one of the finest leaders I’ve ever worked with. He’s a frogman to his core. Important note: he’s 1/3 comanche, 1/3 Mexican 1/3 Irish, but 100% Texan.
Great interview but sound could be better
Ryan, love ya, love the show...hell, it was a pleasure meeting you in perhaps at Shreks members event in late 2022...but u GOTTA upgrade that audio man!!! It's awesome ur doing in person interviews now but the audio definitely takes away from the experience.
Anyways, have a good one and keep excelling!!!
I could hear it fine, damn old Marines cant hear and blame everyone else! Just playing friend...
Came here to say exactly the same thing. I feel like I should sign up for the meal kits just so Ryan can afford a new mic. 😂
Great stories, great channel! Really well done... Thanks
First hearing those 2 Navy seals were missing : it sounded like a hostage situation . . . . . More likely swept out to sea ! RIP RIP
Rib run in rough seas.. the seas can claim you.. anytime for any reason
I’m a huge fan of the channel. I’ve got a couple of feedback on the audio. The metal surface next to you reflects the heck out high frequencies. You need a few materials like cloths around the room to suck up the high frequencies and make your voices less harsh. Feed back two is keep eating for another time 😂. It’s hard to pay attention at the sound of nuts cracking in your mouth. Thank you both for your service!
45 minutes in…jeezzzz this is a tough watch…
You know, just once I'd love you to ask someone why they joined the SEALs and they reply "Well, I thought it would get me girls..."
Hey. Just new to this channel as non military and find it both inspiring and eye opening. Ive been binge watching many of these stories with inspiration and awe.I want to ask a question which I hope you s don't find offensive? If you, as a representative of your country, but brother to your team, were asked to lie for one of your fellow men you had served with for years. Who you had fought side by side with, risked your life for, would you cover for them? I only ask this, as it seems to be a common re occuring theme throughout all of these soldiers lives and stories? Is it something expected of you? Regardless of what you brother in arms has committed. How far does loyality go in comparison with morality? I'm genuinely interested. Thankyou
Put the phone down and go buy a bag of corn kids.
Sound shouldn't be an issue at this point. Dynamic mics are the wrong tool for this set up. Sure SM7B's will keep you from sounding like uou're in a well. Some baffles in the corners of the room do deaden the room wouldn't hurt and keep the mics a fist distance from your mouth. If your going to keep these mics you have to "eat the mic" to get the best performance. That means mouth ON the mic.
dude, the audio ungood...
Very good interview. I am curious have you had a Navy EOD tech on your program.
Man, love this podcast but it’s really hard to hear the person being interviewed. I have to have the volume all the way up and still miss some words. Still a great podcast though.
lol it’s crazy how much navy seals are all over TH-cam. Not hating or anything it’s just really strange to see compared to what I’m use to from my time in the Marine Corps it was such a secret.
Are you really in northern California or are you actually in Central California?
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Day 246 of asking for better audio
👍💯🇺🇸
Two SEALS dead over a dingy boat with a handful of missiles, a major waste of life. RIP Christopher

Hey bro no offense here, but your audio is coming thru like crap. Sounds horrible compared to your old setting. Love the show. Huge fan
The audio is too distorted and poor for me to be able to hear what's being said
I was in Class 194 with Joel and he was a class act through and through. He was/is thoroughly and very much respected by all of us who were in Corps school and/or training with him.
Thank you so much for allowing such a high class individual to tell his story on your show, Ryan. The community needs more people like Joel in their ranks.
