According to what I understood, they were going to play the birthday of a child dressed as clowns to make it more fun and childish, but seeing what happened "the hour before", when the boy blows out the candles, everyone is on their phones without pay attention to the birthday boy, that's why the lyrics say "celebrating without feelings" so that's why at the beginning they took off the costumes and began to sing about how the birthday was a celebration without affection or feeling.

i saw the members' teaser videos a few days prior to their debut and was rlly excited to them being another band!! also them sounding more rock than most kbands i know of! bands in kpop are usually modern rock or ballad rock so i think harder rock is really refreshing and bold of them. i personally was blown away by the song when i heard it the first time, i was kinda shocked like you lmao but it grew on me SO MUCH im so excited to see what their future sound is going to be
this is why i like jyp band. they're not just singing but they conveyed the feeling as well with the way they sing and they did it really well. not to forget the instrument details are just insane!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I caught their live stream debut performance and let me tell you I was shook to the core. They don't act like rookies at all, their stage presence is amazing...
Yes. Day6's more heavy rock songs are still not as punk heavy--more like traditional rock. But their rock sound is vast as well dipping into 80s rocks, synth rock pop, and countless other genres. But make no mistake they have released rock heavy songs.. like... How Can I Say, STOP, Headache, Rescue Me, and of course their Japanese releases. XH also has already a very "idol" like M/V whereas Day6's tend to tell a story or focus only on the band without crazy special effects. The target audience Is different! Day6 has been described as Korea's representative band while XH has been described as GenZ's representative k-band. The fact that JYP debuted another band was partly cuz Day6 proved kbands are a worthwhile investment. I Will look forward to an album release from XH. Jungsu has killer vocals he impressed me.

I only heard a clip of this song the other day on Instagram before quickly kept scrolling but I listened to it, watched MV, before seeing your reaction and I fell in love with the song so much 😂 my weird ass loved it the moment the song started with the dude who says he’s a clown today! Yeah I gotta learn names since I follow them on Instagram 😂 this really just set with me really well! I hope they have a great career.

Tbh I think this is the best debut of 2021. It's unique and so good, these guys have amazing potential and a great concept I just hope jyp can administer them well

The first dude who sang is Jungsu, keyboard and main vocal, the one with the long black hair with a colored highlight is their maknae, bassist, and vocalist Jooyeon, the drummer, he studied at Berklee college, he's the oldest, vocalist, and leader Gun-il, the other keyboardist is O.de, also a vocalist and a rapper, the one with short hair is Gaon their guitarist, vocalist, and rapper, the last one is the other guitarist and vocalist, Jun Han. Fun fact, the members Jungsu and Gaon wrote the lyrics and compose the song, everyone in the group are lyricist and composer according to their main page so technically they're a self producing idols.
this was just recommended to me on yt, i was truly shocked in intro. i fell inlove already esp jungsu 😏 but i think gaon is my fave 😂❤️ love u caitlin!

Even though this is the second band group from JYP, this debut song is so different from DAY6, which is excellent. I love this song so much. It SOUNDS soooo GOOD. This is the type of rock I like (if anyone in the comments has any other recommendations for krock thats very similar to this, plz suggest for me, anyone, anything, any group).
JYP better treat them right, cuz that was amazing. So I hope they put out a ton of music without being overworked. I am very excited to hear what they have next!

Idk if you know Dreamcatcher (or if that’s the type of rock you meant or the type you like) but they have more of a rock based sound, definitely worth checking them out!

Its hard- I know a lot of artists who arent Korean who do sounds like that but Im guessing you dont want them xD (The artists are still Asian though)
Well...ONEWE has a few songs similar to that sort of sound but their guitar breaks are insane- (Aka Kanghyun is insane-) so if you would be okay with more ballet songs with crazy instrumental breaks then I could give you a few from ONEWE!
And if you like more hip-hop based groups with crazy instrumentals, N.Flying could be for you! Im sure you have heard Rooftop but they have a ton of different songs, I mean, I have all 64 songs on my playlist-
And of course- I dont know them as well as I want too, but you should check out 2Z!! My personal favorite from them is Doctor!
Also- IZ is really nice as well!!!
Let me be sad that Blackleaf disbanded for a second- They were very ballet based though so I dont think you would like them as much
Of course, you could always look into FT Island!! They are a much older band but they have some great music that you might like!
One of my personal favorite bands is Juo!! Sadly, they came out with their debut song and then haven't released any music :/ But their debut song is so good! Its called Pluto
Purple Rain is more of a screamy rock group from what Ive heard lollll, but its kind of fun!

Their rocker vibe is giving me G Dragon Crooked feels, they have more edge. I think this is an awesome genre for kpop to explore. This group definitely one to look out for.

I AM HONESTLY SO HAPPY THAT A BAND LIKE THIS DEBUTED BECAUSE IT SCRATCHES THE PART OF MY BRAIN THAT K-POP CAN'T REALLY REACH (although, Stray Kids' Chronosaurus, Awaken and 3rd Eye were the songs that came the closest) .. I cannot wait for an EP for a full album cause I will give these boys literally all of my money (okay well tbh it would be shared between them and skz, but anyway)... And I can't believe they sound even better live... I've heard that they're even self-produced and I'm in music heaven right now because of Xdinary Heroes.... thank you for reacting to them ^^

he's not canadian! jooyeon was born in ansan and lived in daegu since he was 5 or 6

First let me say I appreciate your reactions and videos. They make me smile, thank you for that. I heard this song this morning and while it is odd i dig it. Second, I have a recommendation for you to check out in your free time since i know you react mainly to kpop. One ok rock is a Japanese rock band and a lot of their songs are quite uplifting ("we are", "stand out fit in", "renegades " and "wasted nights" to name a few) and I think you will enjoy them. 2:19 the fact that Jungsu can actually do that vocal fry, make it sound good, and make it sound so similar to the studio version because you can tell theres a little bit of auto tune on it but for the most part he can actually do that. Its insane.
