That is a large house! Childhood hood was like this made me very aware multiple levels are great when young. But not as you age. That needs a lot of work. But it's beautiful.
It is quite a house! It needs quite a bit of TLC. The best match for this home would be a DIY person with a love for reno projects. Converting to HVAC may be a huge expense. Maybe there are window units that can blend in?
The realtor is very engaging. She makes you want to watch the video until the end. However, I would need more information. I need the dimensions of the room as well as ceiling heights. Are the fireplaces operable? Was the roof replaced recently? If so, when? How old is the water heater and boiler? What appliances and furnishings come with the home. Otherwise, she was informative. The information about radiator heat's positive effects on skin conditions was amazing. Moreover, including the information about the home's proximity to Google and Bakery Square would be especially helpful to those thinking about moving to the City. Personally, I would love to have this house. I know people who live on Meade and Homewood Avenue.
We just improved the price by $50k. I do not have the ceiling heights off hand. Here is a floor plan with dimensions: shorturl.at/3X7Tn Age of the roof is unknown. It is my expectation that it needs to be replaced soon. The age of the water hear and boiler were not disclosed by the seller and thus are unknown (would require an inspection). The only inclusions are the gas stove & refrigerator The fireplaces are not operational, which is common among older houses in Pittsburgh.
@@tarasa-hurley Can't afford but would love it. By saying I would love to have it gave you the impression that I could afford it now. I can't but these are good pieces of information I or anybody would like to know. Thank you for providing them As I stated, you were very engaging and draw people in.
@@mohammedalam2410 hi, this home is located in Point Breeze North. Homewood would is a little bit further north past the busway. I’m not permitted to discuss demographic information of areas as part of my license (it could be considered steering). But what I can do is point you to resources. Niche.com is a great place to look up info about an area. It’s also a Pittsburgh based company.
I'm new to Pittsburgh just purchased a duplex similar to this. I believe it's 1945. What's with all the non functioning fireplaces? I'm from the west coast not used to seeing this especially in the cold climate here. Why are these non functioning fireplaces so common, is it the county?
In colder climates like Pittsburgh, fireplaces can be less energy efficient if they aren't in constant use, causing drafts that draw warm air out, leading some homeowners to seal them off. Fireplaces in older homes may also pose fire hazards if not properly maintained, and insurance companies often require updates for coverage. Additionally, chimney masonry can degrade over time, and expensive repairs lead many homeowners to seal off their fireplaces instead.
Obviously, the list of work to be done is intimidating, but I’d put a corner shower in the blue bathroom. With that many bedrooms, three baths would work well.
I love these Pgh 4 squares. Unfortunately the modernizations did it no favors. Construction Junction would be a big help in restoring some of the charm and likely stripped out built-ins. A lot of potential: i hope this neighborhood has got better with regard to crime.
Good price for this home, however a lot to consider, needs a ton of work. The living room ceiling is ruined with all the white paint partially covering those beautiful coffered beams, who’s idea was that! The kitchen is a tiny nightmare and I question that the “morning room “ addition is legally up to code. Upstairs is a cluttered mess and the damaged ceilings may indicate more problems then are worth addressing. The basement is a mess to, no way to know exactly what’s functioning down there at all. Be sure to have a good inspection on this one prior to making an offer.
I've renovated 35 houses in my lifetime. There were a lot of old ones like this. Unfortunately, the majority of the interior charm has been stripped, and what's left of what is old, is beat. I could go on all day but I won't. I commented only after seeing all of the other comments. Naive people sometimes take on projects like this thinking that they can do a little at a time and someday they will have a masterpiece. This one is for pros or fools.
The potential is endless for that house. Very interesting.

Despite some minor flaws, 😅this is a lovely home.
That's a funny joke 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Was it a rental? Maybe that’s why it needs so much work ..but someday could be gorgeous
Coffered ceilings, not Kaufman
😂😂
Looks like it has good bones but needs a lot of work & updates and/or restoration.
That kitchens going to be tricky
Great old house. I hope the buyer has the funds to restore it to it's original beauty.
Nice big old house. Needs renovation, especially that attic floor. A house with a lot of potential.

That is the least of their worries, trust me. That will be the cherry on the sunday at the end...if they have any $$$ left

Could you please tell about the zip 15208 north side Homewood neighborhood safety in present days

So only full bath on second floor was in primary?

Coffered ceilings. There is likely oak under all that paint.
$325,000.recently lowered by $50,000 which is an aggressive repricing.
This house is a nasty mess. Have the plumbing and electrical ever been updated??? Wow, hard pass on this one.
Fully renovated houses on this street can sell for quite a lot more, so there's definitely room for gaining equity.
This is obviously a fixer upper
I bet this place was amazing before they made it modern
life lesson: stay out of the big box stores and spend your money on cleaning and upkeep instead.
