    Thanks for the removal guide, just sanded off the old glue and applied 3m headliner adhesive to restick the fabric. Just have to let the adhesive dry for a minute before letting the fabric touch otherwise itll look wet.

    This is a great vídeo, the fabric a-pillar on my 08 looks terrible. UPDATE: Replaced the trim in my S60 with some a-pillars I found on my local junkyard from an ‘02 donor car. Paid $8 for both. Did exactly like the video.

      Same here. I have an 06 s60 that had the same problem, watched this video, went to PickAPart, and for $14 got "new" beige A-Pillars (once I cleaned them with a magic eraser), and replaced them both within 10 minutes.

      @@webbmoncure that’s awesome man. Every place I check for the part is like $70+. Might have to check out PickAPart.

      @@SpanishFly45 you can also check ebay for used ones. If I'm getting them for $15 a pop, I may get many more pairs because other people may want to buy them in the volvo forums.

    Thanks! It took me 30 seconds per side! Use the existing clips from the newer fabric covered ones in place of the clips on the older plastic covers! Great upgrade

    Can I remove my cloth covered trim, peel off the cloth, give it a good sanding and paint it?

    If you notice, the metal side A-pillar black clip can just be pressed into the hole you don't have to turn it on the installation. Only on removal

    • @Peppermint1
      @Peppermint1  3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      They can be pressed in, but the reason why I try to rotate them is that is forcing on the small plastic locking 'bumps' may cause them to crack or to break because the plastic is old, and these 'bumps' is what is keeping the entire safety strap in place. Perhaps if installing a new one should be fine to just press it in - but Volvo doesn't sell them separately

    Are the s60, xc70, v70 a pillar trims interchangeable? I’m having a hard time finding s60 specific plastic ones online. Thanks I enjoy your videos ✌️

    • @Peppermint1
      @Peppermint1  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      See my other pillar trim videos (search "peppermint pillar"). I remember there were two types of attaches depending on the production date - perhaps before and after mid 2004. From memory, for the same year the trim should be the same for the S60 V70 and XC70

    Hello! Do you have the part number for the safety strap for the plastic trim? (With the smaller clip.)

    • @Peppermint1
      @Peppermint1  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe see my other videos with the A-pillar trim, but from what I remember the small safety strap is not sold separately, so it may not have a number for itself. You should be able to replace the entire A-pillar trim, plastic and fabric ones should be interchangeable - may find a used one at the breakers

    Does removing the trim trigger a warning, is the car still drivable for a day or two while I take mine off and flock them?

    • @Peppermint1
      @Peppermint1  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Should be no problem to drive without the trim - but I cannot tell for sure. No electrical connector on this trim. What's important is to install the safety strap correctly when putting the trim back in place
