Hi. I'm an astrophotographer from Nicaragua and I use Sony gear from 2021. The A7 III and a 14mm F2.8 are my best friends in the dark. Images are oustanding

Thank you, Autumn .. that was great to watch. I'm a totally novice photographer, but living in the country now (in Australia), I'm very keen to get into it. I treated myself to a high-end kit with the Sony A1 camera, 24-70mm lens, 70-200mms lens and the 200-600mm lens. And just today I've ordered the 14mm f1.8 lens, keen to start having a go at astrophotography, so your tips about the timer and monitor brightness were very helpful. I'll initially just stay in my backyard (literally!), so won't need much in terms of packing stuff. I'll definitely be watching more of your videos .. thank you again!

For astro, I use my Sony A7RIV and A7RIVA with Sony 14mm 1.8 GM, Zeiss Loxia Distagon 21mm 2.8 T*, Sony 24mm 1.4 GM and Voigtländer APO-Lanthar 35mm 2.0 Aspherical, my tripod is a Novoflex. I never use zoom, I do not like zoom !

May I ask whether your camera is Astro modified or not?
From your picture I can see a lot of red nebula.
    Thanks,
    Fabrizio

Sony APS-C is still lacking a COMPACT quality 23mm f2 (35mm equivalent) and 18mm f2 (28mm equivalent). Please release these two lenses for APS-C soon, we've been waiting for 10 years already.... Consumers want compact easy everyday carry quality camera systems.

You can use these lenses on APS-C cameras. I use the FE 14MM F1.8GM on a Sony 6400.

Funny how these great photographers are getting very expensive Sony gears for free, but they telling the poor want to be photographers to buy these thousands of dollar lens.
