    I love your socks, they are so neat. Yes I got caught by the Nashville hype and loved the series of flosstubes by Stephanie at Lindy Stitches. Happy Birthday and Happy stitching, your projects are lovely.😊

    Such a pleasure to revisit you, Jen, in your wonderfully-ordered craft room - it is so refreshing (if you could see mine you would understand why, gulp!) Loved your Blackbird finish! Those socks just boggle my mind, they looks so intricate - do hope you qualify for a team in the competition! Gorgeous yarn choice for your hot water bottle cover! The AI art question sounds way above my head but thanks for the referral video for a better understanding of it. All the very best to you and happy, happy 40th birthday on the 2nd!!

      Thank you so much, and do not be fooled. I have *one* orderly wall in my craft space, and I do have to straighten it up each time I film. 😆

    I really enjoy your flosstubes! Your range of projects is very interesting and I love the little bit of knitting that you share. I am a knitter, but some of your socks look crazy difficult. Nice job!

      Thank you! I think the socks look a little more difficult than they are, just have to read twice (or three or four times) and hopefully knit only once. 😅

    Really enjoyed your video! The frame you have for Poisonous Plants is awesome! I love that pattern so much :) Your Dark Queen looks awesome - love the story about the orbs and the flowers. And I really appreciated your comments about AI - glad you didn't edit them out. I'm looking forward to watching the videos you recommended! Happy Birthday!

      Thank you! I felt like the AI section was kind of jumbled, but if I get anybody to watch Darling Bluebell's video, it was worth it. 💗

      Yes I'm excited to start March Quaker, I just need to decide if I want to use the called for flosses because mine are a lot warmer toned than what I see in the model. 💚

    I really like your new start. She will be beautiful when she is done. You might want to try a q-snap for your full coverage. It might be more comfortable for you.

      Thanks for the suggestion! I have my Unconventional X full coverage piece in a qsnap as a trial run, but it has far less fabric than this. Maybe I'll give it a try if I can't get comfortable with stitching this one in hand.

    Jen.. you are such a pleasure to watch and listen to.. your voice is so calming as I stitch… all of your socks are amazing! I have knitted “plain” socks in the past but nothing like yours! Your sweaters are amazing too! I have a ripple baby afghan that I just started and it’s off somewhere so it is in time out 🤪..I hope you make the sock competition! I stitch 200 stitches everyday on a HEAD, Cruise Night, for my son…I’m at 85% so the end is in sight!! Of course, I have many other WIPS that I also work on when time permits…Happy stitching!

    • @jensfiberweb

      85% that's amazing! I'm nowhere near even 50% on any of my full coverage pieces!

    I enjoyed visiting with you again. I knitted a bit while I watched. Love your sweater. It looks so comfy and looks great on you. Beautifully done. The frame you chose for your poisonous plants piece is perfect. I loved that you had your 11 year old check to see if he could read your stitching. So cute. All of your projects are great. Still thinking about adding the Goddess of the earth to my stash. She definitely looks better without the hair.
    The AI stuff…ugh, so much I don’t know or understand. And I think we as consumers find it hard to tell since so many of us already have some in our stash without knowing it. I have seen Jamie’s video, and will check out your links also.

      I'm very happy with my bald queen of the earth! And I totally agree, the AI stuff is complicated and one of the things that bugs me is exactly what you said - that a lot of us maybe supported AI art without even knowing it. It should be interesting to see how it changes things over time!

    I’m really enjoying your channel! I watched this video while trying to finish my second qualifier sock for Sock Madness. I participated in 2020 but had basically forgotten about it until you mentioned it in a previous video. I appreciated your comments on AI art…definitely not a downer. One of the great things about Market is we get to know the human behind the designs…that makes me feel better about supporting them.

    Love your finish on Anniversaries of the heart. I have heard a bit about the AI art but not much so thanks for sharing the two channels I am going to check them out. I love Stephanie and always look at her online store for what I need before anyone else she lives like one town over from me so shipping is super fast.....haha! and yes she got me on buying Market releases which I have never done before, but I would of bought them regardless. Hope your day is awesome!

    You are a fantastic knitter. The socks are so beautiful. You pick the best charts. I love birds, flowers & owls. Wow that one silk reminds me of Orange Sherbert. For my Leap Start I am going to be working on The Twinchie Project by Carolyn Manning. I am doing it on 18 count aida cloth. I was going to do Hummingbird Garden by Carolyn Manning in the Just CrossStitch Magazine but it calls for Sullivans Floss and I did not know how to convert it to DMC Floss so maybe someday I will figure it all out. I did not pre-order any charts but I did go on 123 Stitch and asked them to notify me whne WildFlower Welcome by Tellin Emblem comes in. I can not wait to buy it. Lindy Stitches is very funny and I did not know that was her husband until she said something. I thought it was just her helper in her shop. She is so funny. Happy Birthday. I can not wait to see what you pick for your birthday choice. I love all your WIP'S. Happy Stitching.

    Happy Birthday in March. Really enjoyed your flosstube. I have Saga by Long Dog. I have it kitted but haven't started it yet. I have two projects going and want to get one finished before I start something else. Have a great week.

    • @jensfiberweb
      @jensfiberweb  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I have looked at Saga a few times but that one hasn’t made it into my stash yet! I started Pandemic a while ago but it was right after I started diving into cross stitch and I was trying to stitch it on 16 ct Aida with a cone of 310 and eventually I decided to stop and restart it someday on a smaller count with a more interesting floss. 😊

    Hello Jen, I love the poisonous plants piece, the fabric sets it off perfectly. I’m still intending to start froth and bubble on Thursday. I have to work that day but will get some stitches in in the evening. Your socks are amazing. I’m a sock knitter but not as accomplished as you. The ai question? I understand that artists are fed up with their work being taken without any fee to train the ai, in time perhaps a system could be set up so they can receive payment but no clue how that would actually operate. I’m sticking with getting my pieces from well known companies, I’m doing a Klimt full coverage, and an Afremov one. Xx

    • @jensfiberweb

      Oooh, which Klimt piece? I love his work but have been intimidated by the amount of yellow in the ones I like. I'm so ready for Froth and Bubble!

    Awesome finishes and wips....ad always! This is my first year really following the market stuff, but it's definitely got me excited! I also loved lindy stitches videos...they were great! There are 3 patterns I absolutely love, but 2 are must haves that ima try n order once they release. After that I have to try n behave and not purchase any more patterns!

    I have also been watching the Lindy Stitches series and my wish list is up to 7 or 8 !! I am not sure if my LNS does preorders but I plan to ask them. If not, I can wait -- I have plenty to keep me busy. I do not know anything about AI art in the needlework space but I will do some reading and learning. Lovely vlog - thanks!

    Thanks for giving your take on AI art. I think I will talk about this in my next video too... My personal decision is that, for now, I won't be paying for any charts based on AI art. I did just start stitching one... it's the Valentine's Day freebie HAED gave out on their Facebook page. Eventually I would like to see regulations evolve such that AI can't scrape/use art without consent from artists (and therefore, appropriate compensation/licensing fees, or something like that). For now, I'm fine with using AI as long as it's not for profit... But it is a complex issue and everyone needs to make a decision on their own based on what feels right to them. Personally, I don't mind stitching this chart I got for free... I am still stitching many pieces from actual human artists, and I do think it's important to make sure they stay supported!

    • @jensfiberweb
      @jensfiberweb  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for sharing your take! I'm really curious to see how the advances in AI in general end up changing our lives in the obvious ways (like AI art cross stitch charts) and maybe in more subtle ways as well.

      @@jensfiberweb I've actually been thinking a lot about AI for the past year... I work at a University, so we've been dealing with figuring out if/how/when to allow it's use in an educational setting. It's going to have/is having a huge impact, so I hope we can get ahead of things from a regulations perspective to minimize potential harm.

    Hi Jen,
    Really enjoying your videos, and your creativity with them. Keep them coming !
    I absolutely love your version of the Dark Queen of the Earth !
    Your color choice for the face and omitting the hair is brilliant.
    Did you just use the same colors as the arms for the face ?
    I also work in hand, and I found on Stitchin' Mommy's
    youtube a demo on how she works with large fabrics. Since then I found rolling fabric
    from the bottom works really well for me. Here's the link for it if it's of interest .

    • @jensfiberweb
      @jensfiberweb  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Thanks for the tip! I also roll mine from the bottom but this one is so wide that it’s still unwieldy. I haven’t double checked whether I can trim the fabric down more, but that might help. For the Dark Queen, the designer gave us 2 options: green skin and brown skin. I’m stitching the face and arms and legs exactly as charted and just omitted the hair. 😊
