Go Drew, Go! Congrats on hitting 1 week! I’ve watched your videos of your 1 week gaming and cheering for you 🎉 🙌🏼
I got my unit too and I did the tutorial 1 day and redid the tutorial tonight using the other avail profile. I’m loving the game so far too and looking forward to my next sessions! 😊

Thanks for a great review! Mine arrived two days ago. I think I’ll use your video to explain to friends about Quell.
For me, the traversal duck is a nightmare. I duck, and half the time I still take the damage, even though it shows me sliding under.

Thank you! Ducking took me awhile to get the timing down, I tend to duck early now and it usually works… I’m still missing a lot of jumps though 😂

One other thing that might help is putting the belt higher in your torso!

I’ll give that a try. Only completed two levels so far.

I've been interested but I a buy used sort of guy. Biggest issue by far is an industry wide blight: health is always a subscription which for me will always make it a luxury option rather than necessity. This means me it went from a need to a want for me. Multiplayer requires a 2nd PC. I want splitscreen. Final concern: durability. If those are elastic, they'll need replacing which makes me wonder if they're replacements are prorietary aka expensive

I’m with you! I typically buy everything secondhand and getting in at the Kickstarter level Definitely save me a few bucks. For a lot of the early backers the subscription service is a lifetime lock in so I don’t have to worry about that additional cost but if I remember correctly, I don’t think it was a huge monthly fee and the subscription includes the rollout of new games, I believe. I’m not sure what the plans are from multiplayer yet I know my wife’s going to try out my system, and I might buy her a separate belt and wristbands for her own use, as well as maybe getting a second set of resistance bands. I don’t believe they’ve announced the cost of the additional products yet, so I can’t speak to that however, the quality of the product I reviewed seems pretty Solid and durable.

@@MrDrewalex86 Yeah, it's not the worst at like $6 a month but still for me it's the principle of the matter. Either charge a sufficient price that you can stand behind your work in the creation of a product OR you can go the subscription route if the hardware is sold at a loss or free like Whoop which shows you're confident in retention because of the quality of service. When they go for both, they come across as unsure or exclusive. Time will tell but this is relatively niche so we'll see how this works out for them. I hope they make it to a point that they can broaden their scope to include people like me.

It’s definitely a bit less claustrophobic without the VR headset!
