I am writing on authority to support Franko's statements. I have been a friend to the late Prof. Mills, and Nana Addo and to be honest with you Prez Mills and Akuffo Addo were great friends in Legon Hall (UG) in the 60s. They were both staunch CPP guys. After the 1966 coup, Akuffo Addo's dad was very worried that his son would be arrested, so he did everything to shield Nana Addo.

Nkrumah had leftover of over 600 million pounds Sterling, but in a short period of time,after his overthrown he left millions of debt behind, does the infrastructure policies he laid down worth the amount he inherited from the colonial masters? Point of correction to Franco, in 1966 Akuffo Addo was never a member of CONVENTION PEOPLES PARTY(CPP) Akuffo Addo was a kid,when his father became the ceremonial president in 1970,Akuffo was a small boy,he can never be a member of CPP.

During those days no matter what your condition you can't over pass the authority of your father,to make your choice in life.

I'm not against what Mathew Opoku Prempeh said or for what he said,to me since Ghana's independence no Ghanaian leader has been exceptional in rebuilding our country, Kwame Nkrumah had millions of £s but didn't utilized it for the good use for Ghanaians. Ghanaians should wise up and forget the politics of the past and move forward to rebuild new Ghana for the benefit of the coming generations.
