Amazing how this mode forces certain elements, so you have to change your builds if you havent built for overload but we still don't have artifact loadouts
The main thing I like about this gamemode is that sometimes I end up using characters in unorthodox ways. I do wish they allowed us to enter each stage with fewer than 4 characters. The previous limited time event that used this same vigor system allowed for that - I feel like the flexibility would be a positive. I understand they're trying to get us to "use" almost all the characters, but in the case that we roll our strongest characters in the early pool, we might prefer to run smaller parties to save certain characters for later stages. Also I had a similar reaction to the water critters, thinking it would be good for reaction damage and then struggling with how much constant damage they dealt to me.
as someone who really ONLY levels and builds characters I like, imaginarium theater is really annoying cause I can only get through the easy mode. So now I’m forced to build and level characters I would never care about before. And the element limitation is also annoying for the future I have so few for certain elements. I’m not joking when I say I have 4 hydro characters and only 1 of them is a 5 star.
Yep, this season is Cryo/Hydro/Anemo and excluding traveler, I have 3 hydro characters (all 4*, one is leveled) and 3 anemo characters, but my 2 leveled ones aren't counted because they're part of the starting lineup LUCKILY I have a stupid amount of cryo characters and most are leveled but especially being f2p I don't want to invest materials into characters I don't care about or won't use often
The hardest part of this mode is gacha all the characters you need and then level them to 70. This mode is such a disappointment both in fun factor (since boons are worthless and irrelevant, not to mention the lack of decisions around teams) and difficulty wise (enemies are so low HP feel like level 8 of abyss).
Also the thing with the forced 4 characters in a party, i was using my friends c6 freedom sworn kazuha and i was like “oh cool! Itll be fun to atleast try to solo this” but nope you HAVE to have 4 characters in a party. So incredibly dumb
Yeah I agree. The fact that I can just solo with high investment characters for most of it illustrates how pointless it is imo. I am fine with forced 4 characters if they removed the level 70 requirement though. Just too many layers of restrictions with character use
Looking at how many polearm characters there are in each element currently 5 Pyro, 3 Cryo, 2 Geo, 2 Electro, 2 Dendro(if we count Emilie), 1 Anemo and 1 Hydro. I think we might have problem if the restricted element be Anemo, Hydro and Geo/Electro/Dendro.
The next one is anemo/hydro/cryo which I honestly think it’s the worst combo possible for the account. I guess Geo would be worse than Cryo, but Geo/Dendro has a mix of dmg dealing (yunjin buff, Emilie) and survivability (zhongli/yaoyao) which could be relevant to clear Theater. Rosaria, Shenhe, and Mika, on the other hand. With only Candace and Xiao on top of that, Id basically need to solo every single act with one of those 4 characters. Mika may unironically be useful for a few, but Rosaria and Shenhe are not very strong on their own-they need a specific team around them. And this gameplay mode doesnt offer relevant enough buffs to make powering them up to a level enough that makes up for the lack of a real team.
@@Solunerra I think it's possible that they might make buffs bigger and flashier in the future but at the same time, they would make enemies stronger to match up those buffs. So, I guess it would pretty difficult for weapon only account to do real weapon only run. Unless they release more characters in faster rate.
Them letting you not take enough characters would be interesting especially for challenge runs. Like having Required number but then have a max number you can take. Add it to the simple tweak list!
I think with how its seen as fine to use Sucrose's passive in crafting enemy drops on these challenge accounts that the penalty of having to raise unused characters to 70 doesnt invalidate it being an "x weapon only" account.
I don’t think it invalidates it, but it’s against the philosophy still. I’d rather pretend I’m playing a game where none of the other characters exist. It’s fine as it is, but unsatisfying to me. Also the resource cost is really bad potentially, so Id really like to see the level 70 requirement removed
I guess if it's primarily a matter of your own enjoyment, it doesn't make sense to try this mode again, especially when you'll have to do so with an elemental roster that doesn't favour polearms. Still, I did enjoy this video. How you actually seriously try to navigate the restriction as part of the challenge is what sets Polearms Only apart from some similar single weapon challenge accounts on youtube.

I think where it went a little wrong was the monolith one. You worried a bit much about the big hilichurls, which A) have more hp and the shield so take longer to kill and B) will happily target you instead of the monolith. So you could have focused mostly on the little ones, and doing so probably have done it with Cyno + a pyro polearm user. Which would have saved a dose of Arl vigor for later. Though using up Thoma's vigor early also hurt a bit, since he's one of your few defensive options. Sucks he's one of the starting 6 in a way.
Yeah I agree, I definitely undervalued Thoma. And I actually cut out quite a bit of stuff with the hilichurl defense stuff. It was enough of a struggle that I decided to just use Arle to clear it.
gg! Next theaters, you can just ignore this mode in Polearms Only, imo. Or you can just do some highlights if there is anything you'd like to show. But I think having to level up characters you don't use is a waste of resources. So probably not doing it is better, I guess? And the content is not exactly challenging, right? The most difficult part is getting your characters, but imagine if they make a Dendro/Hydro/Geo one, what could you do?

Actually I believe Thoma is principal cast so you can’t actually share him. Go check your friends’ shares and see if you can find a single principal cast member in there to verify, I didn’t find a single one on mine. Sucks because I have built C6 Faruzan (and C4 Wanderer and C6 Thoma) that no one gets to use and gets stuck with the shitty C0 trial version of that I doubt would have enough ER.
Tbh I feep bad for people that have challenges like: mono pyro, mono hydro, etc. They just can't do theater => they get not so many primos as they used to before theater
This series has motivated me to try polearms only. I was thinking of trying to beat abyss with only guaranteed/starter characters but I think that’s too difficult. I’ve made a rule for myself that I can’t make a second account until I get my first 36 stars and since I’m really close to it, I’m going to start preparing. Hopefully we get a hydro polearm in Natlan so I’m not forced to pray for Candace’s return!!
6:26 no, it's 2.55 per boss 14:05 it's partially because you kept bursting too late to catch the particles from your skills since Xiao consumes the energy late into his burst animation Also you can change builds during the theater but not after you selected a fight but you can say : I will choose this fight with these enemies so let me build X character accordingly and then you select the fight, what it means is that if your build doesn't work, you can't change once you've tried it

Yeah, my rambling stuff I cut out at the end included a bit at how confused I was about how they have done so much with HSR that is not all amazing, but nothing that felt this bad, and its all stuff theyve added in a little over a year lol. Do the different teams at Hoyo just not talk to each at all? Its kinda crazy to me just how different the approach seems to be, so it has just left me confused. I saw their hoyolab post about Theater feedback, but tbh what they said in it doesnt really acknowledge much of the core issues to a degree that gives me confidence they will make it more interesting, remove arbitray restrictions, or whatever. We shall see though
I’m hopeful your Emilie pulls go well considering you’re not lacking in Pyro polearms but could use a Dendro that isn’t Yaoyao, and at least there’s a chance you’ll get Kachina for free so you won’t have to worry about pulling for her on a banner without a 5* polearm user (unless Zhongli and Kachina are in the same half of the patch but then again idk if you want his cons? I got his C2 by sheer accidental luck and it makes his shielding somehow even easier than it was before but it’s definitely not necessary)

Yeah right now I dont think the mode is hard, it just is uninteresting because despite it seemingly being designed around incentivizing building and using many different units, the easiest method for success is just using hyperinvested units anyways lol. Its so fundamentally flawed in its design that its uninteresting to play to me. The first time clearing is interesting-hence why I made the video-but after that? I dont want to have to level a ton of non polearm units to 70 in a combat mode that doesnt even have any fun buffs going on that can make these unoptimal teams (as a side effect of rng, not just the polearms restriction) more fun to play. I would love to continue doing every Theater at the highest difficulty on polearms only if they removed the level 70 requirement though

I would love to play in Imaginarium Theater to the end, but I don't have enough characters to use, especially since most of them are still super weak. If I could play with my strong characters all the time it wouldn't be a problem 😑 btw, if I invite a guest player and then cancel him, I can no longer invite other characters from this player ... personally there’s a lot of things i really like about imaginarium theater, but the gameplay itself is kinda the least interesting thing about it to me. i’m much more here for the cool set dressing and new music and character voicelines lmao
I really wish you could enter certain stages with less than 4 characters, not just for polearms only but it feels so restrictive. It’d be nice to make one stage “harder” so your next cycle has more options
for the nearly 4 years that this game has been out the only thing you needed was 2 good teams to beat the hardest content. Only 8 characters. The logical thing to do was to just pull cons and weapons for the 8 characters you use in abyss and you don't need anything else, but if you did that and invested all those primogems, you are just completely screwed over in this new mode despite the game never incentivizing you to have a wide variety of built characters. Luckily I don't pull for cons and weapons so I can manage but it's just frustrating that the players who did what was optimal for 3+ years are now punished for it.
I was thinking of doing it on my Catalyst only account. But tbh i'm not sure if it's possible, because there aren't many dps in these elements. There're only 2 pyro characters (i don't have Klee, so i'll have to take her from any of my friends assuming some one has her with good build and all. My Yanfei is top4% on Europe, she'll be fine), 2 electro characters (I built my Lisa as a burst support dps, so i'm not sure if it's possible with her alone, she's also only c4, and that's a huge loss on dps from her E, because i don't have extra levels on it. Yae is good as a reactor tbh, so soloing with her would be tough, probably will have to get her on emblem set), and 4 anemo characters (Wanderer is fine at least mine. Xianyun can play as a dps if needed. Problem lies with Heizhou, because mine is not properly built and is c0, and with Sucrose who is not a dps, like at all). This makes it 8 + i can claim Baizhu and Wriothesley as additional characters = 10. Thinking that probably i'll need either Baizhu or Xianyun survive till the end + 1 electro + either Yanfei or Klee, it'll be like hell mostly. The only one that can heal himself is Wriothesley. I dunno what strategy to use here, and of course it makes me sad that i need to lvl up some non-catalyst characters on the account (i believe i have Xiangling, Bennet, Beidou and Fischl, i have Diluc and Jean as a 5*, but honestly i don't remember who else i have, because frankly speaking my account was kinda lucky with catalyst characters, so i overall got duplicates of those i already have be it those i need or don't need, i don't have that many characters on the account). I think i'll try to beat it, but catalyst characters are less agile than polearm are, i doubt it'll be easy.
Glad you had enough characters to naturally get into the first stage, but still upset for you that you can’t bring just your well built polearms further than easy. Tho the struggle on hard after leveling some undesirables is entertaining to watch. As for my own challenge account, yah I’m never getting in which is sooooooo obnoxious cuz Abyss has been here the whole time but isn’t gatekept by all these BS do nothing rules so I can get through with at least 18-21 stars consistently. That doesn’t seem like a lot so I should mention the gimmick of the account is I can’t use bursts (genuine question would Kirara’s C4 be cheating to activate? I think it might be…), I’m f2p, and the big one no level up books. I can ONLY level up by fighting monsters. Mainly activated shrooms to save time and sanity; I’ve hit 9999 of the green drop more than once and have had to combine them. This “endgame” mode is so easy my main account did hard mode in like 7 minutes of actual combat. But I can’t even challenge this joke on a challenge account where it had the potential to be somewhat of a test because Hoyo decided to add a level cap and force full 4 party teams. Like bruh the teams can end up so random anyway you might only use 1/4 of the characters so it’s not gonna matter if the Amber you throw in just to fill out a slot is level 70 or level 2. It’s just completely arbitrary. A character not being as leveled on any account doesn’t mean they won’t have access to a solid build of artifacts and weapons. My highest characters currently are only 2 at level 40 yet I have reached AR 58 and have farmed fairly decent artifacts. My level 33 Nahida has a top 1% build on Akasha. Hell my Diluc even has a better build here than my main at top 3% over top 4%. I haven’t even had to rely on a co-op friend to help me out in farming for quite some time. I’m totally fine doing events and getting a fair share of awards at my character levels. The only thing I’m normally gatekept by is only having 1 Sac Frag between Kokomi, Barbara, and Sucrose. But now 4 years into the game Hoyo decided they didn’t want to make a new endgame mode, they wanted to make a new cash grab. Lock just enough new character dialogues and camera poses for the casuals, teapot mains, and lore enthusiasts who might ignore Abyss behind it and they’ll now want in. Players who need more characters to do this game mode get locked out and can’t get the primos from it. Aka go swipe. Players who have a decent amount of characters but need to level them all at once get spread thin. Aka go resin refresh with your primos to keep up aka go swipe. Players who have spent enough time and/or money to meet the check, go take a nap (if you aren’t in the like 30-50%+ that quit already), your monthly refreshing game mode’s done in under 10 minutes. Hate to be that person but in comparison WuWa’s Depths of Illusive realm has built in incentive to do it more than once, let’s you exchange for more valuable rewards, will warn you if your character is under leveled but still let you in, and has solid enough builds on the trial ones if your own characters are too weak. It’s not a team check but I had a lot more fun going through the different stages for around 2 hours than the yawn of a 7 minutes I had on my Genshin main where the highlight was seeing what bratty line my Wanderer (who’s C4 & well built but I can’t share with anyone because he’s principal cast -_-“) would say between stages. I threw out this analogy on another chat but it’s like if Hoyo suddenly decided that, “In order to access any of Natlan and future regions, you now can’t even step foot in til you have 100% exploration in all previous regions down to the last chest and side quest. Should’ve logged all your chests in the official interactive map we totally didn’t just steal the design of off the fan made one and now launched lil bro. That’s ok you can exchange genesis crystals to send your (select few RNG) characters (you may or may not have) out to hunt those missing chests. You get 1 single new dialogue when they come back at the end of week with a single common chest! If you’re extra special (get lucky with the .03% odds) your waifu might even give you an exclusive cute wink! No there’s no skip button in the stories still, enjoy left clicking yourself into early onset arthritis. Oh did we say no skip button, we meant for f2p. You can buy the monthly skip subscription for $20 a month, no we didn’t test it to see if it’s buggy or not.” Not an entirely exact replica of Hoyo dialogue because I skipped the patronizing customer service emoticons but you get the idea. Really consider this. How much outrage or at least annoyance would something like this cause and why? Would it mainly be that it’s super restrictive to people who don’t have time or who’d rather dedicate themselves to different aspects of the game? Would it be because this is not AT ALL how exploration has worked for the earlier parts of the game and now they changed it to THAT? Would it be that it’s such a stupid reason to prevent you from progressing something you could otherwise do? Would it be those few elitists saying, “well you should have just been doing exploration all along, what’d you expect? It’s supposed to be the end regions, Hoyo’s totally in the right to make sure you’re fully caught up on all the lore from before.” or the other side of the coin I’ve seen before, “just top up.” or “just quit.”

I know… Im used to using TF on him (you use more skills, not just when the eye appears), but was not triggering it with consistency. I shouldve just ignored it and played him boring style (when the eye pops up only vs using additional skills in between with TF). And I was hoping he would trigger TF decently enough in the situations I used him in, hence why I tried.
Just double checked in game, it doesnt show my level 60 diluc/keqing as available to select on my main account. They are available on Normal/Easy (which says level 60 as a requirement), but with Hard they are not available because it requires level 70. Im guessing you were not playing the Hard difficulty with the full 8 acts. Even lowering the requirement from 70 to 60 would be a big help resource wise though

I wish genshin had the same team as hsr man- even ZZZ has a better endgame and its new rip. Had to delete it, zzz,wuwa and hsr are way more than enough for a student like me xD

Honestly ur c6 Arlechino is too strong, even w lvl0 healing cap she's just shred everything within 10 sec like omg. To be kinda of a challenge u should try trial's Arlechino or ur own w 3* artifacts n 4* weapon
It was functionally a C3 Arlecchino, which is where most of her constellation value is. I also have *very* good artifacts on her now too lol. C2 made more of a difference than anything, but I dont think it wouldve been all that much harder without it. Maybe will try clearing with the trial arlecchino on stream sometime
I feel this is a horrible thing to be forced into you to pass haha Maybe allow you to use all characters BUT no polearms have everything lvl1? should allow you to still use their elements and some other minor buffs
Primogems are nowhere near my primary issue with the gamemode, personally. Reward wise I think its a bit rough that they split it up for some players, that do not have many characters leveled because they hyperinvested in specific units. But its basically the same amount of primos as we got full clearing abyss before. But its easier in some ways and harder in others
@@broccolithoughts To prove that a C3 Arlecchino is far more than enough still lol. I keep her fully powered for fun during livestreams usually if you want to see C6 more, but theres not that much thats interesting about it tbh. For Theater it literally makes 0 difference.
Genuinely who or even how was this mode approved. Its so bland and boring, it has terrible rewards, its way too easy while trying REALLY hard to restrict your options and they nerfed abyss rewards for it? Imagine if every time star rail added a new end game they removed rewards from previous ones

Yeah I agree, I definitely undervalued Thoma. And I actually cut out quite a bit of stuff with the hilichurl defense stuff. It was enough of a struggle that I decided to just use Arle to clear it.

Next theaters, you can just ignore this mode in Polearms Only, imo. Or you can just do some highlights if there is anything you'd like to show. But I think having to level up characters you don't use is a waste of resources. So probably not doing it is better, I guess? And the content is not exactly challenging, right?
The most difficult part is getting your characters, but imagine if they make a Dendro/Hydro/Geo one, what could you do?

Actually I believe Thoma is principal cast so you can’t actually share him. Go check your friends’ shares and see if you can find a single principal cast member in there to verify, I didn’t find a single one on mine. Sucks because I have built C6 Faruzan (and C4 Wanderer and C6 Thoma) that no one gets to use and gets stuck with the shitty C0 trial version of that I doubt would have enough ER.

Tbh I feep bad for people that have challenges like: mono pyro, mono hydro, etc. They just can't do theater => they get not so many primos as they used to before theater

This series has motivated me to try polearms only. I was thinking of trying to beat abyss with only guaranteed/starter characters but I think that’s too difficult. I’ve made a rule for myself that I can’t make a second account until I get my first 36 stars and since I’m really close to it, I’m going to start preparing. Hopefully we get a hydro polearm in Natlan so I’m not forced to pray for Candace’s return!!

Also you can change builds during the theater but not after you selected a fight but you can say : I will choose this fight with these enemies so let me build X character accordingly and then you select the fight, what it means is that if your build doesn't work, you can't change once you've tried it

Yeah, my rambling stuff I cut out at the end included a bit at how confused I was about how they have done so much with HSR that is not all amazing, but nothing that felt this bad, and its all stuff theyve added in a little over a year lol. Do the different teams at Hoyo just not talk to each at all? Its kinda crazy to me just how different the approach seems to be, so it has just left me confused. I saw their hoyolab post about Theater feedback, but tbh what they said in it doesnt really acknowledge much of the core issues to a degree that gives me confidence they will make it more interesting, remove arbitray restrictions, or whatever. We shall see though

I’m hopeful your Emilie pulls go well considering you’re not lacking in Pyro polearms but could use a Dendro that isn’t Yaoyao, and at least there’s a chance you’ll get Kachina for free so you won’t have to worry about pulling for her on a banner without a 5* polearm user (unless Zhongli and Kachina are in the same half of the patch but then again idk if you want his cons? I got his C2 by sheer accidental luck and it makes his shielding somehow even easier than it was before but it’s definitely not necessary)

Yeah right now I dont think the mode is hard, it just is uninteresting because despite it seemingly being designed around incentivizing building and using many different units, the easiest method for success is just using hyperinvested units anyways lol. Its so fundamentally flawed in its design that its uninteresting to play to me. The first time clearing is interesting-hence why I made the video-but after that? I dont want to have to level a ton of non polearm units to 70 in a combat mode that doesnt even have any fun buffs going on that can make these unoptimal teams (as a side effect of rng, not just the polearms restriction) more fun to play. I would love to continue doing every Theater at the highest difficulty on polearms only if they removed the level 70 requirement though

personally there’s a lot of things i really like about imaginarium theater, but the gameplay itself is kinda the least interesting thing about it to me. i’m much more here for the cool set dressing and new music and character voicelines lmao

I really wish you could enter certain stages with less than 4 characters, not just for polearms only but it feels so restrictive. It’d be nice to make one stage “harder” so your next cycle has more options

for the nearly 4 years that this game has been out the only thing you needed was 2 good teams to beat the hardest content. Only 8 characters. The logical thing to do was to just pull cons and weapons for the 8 characters you use in abyss and you don't need anything else, but if you did that and invested all those primogems, you are just completely screwed over in this new mode despite the game never incentivizing you to have a wide variety of built characters. Luckily I don't pull for cons and weapons so I can manage but it's just frustrating that the players who did what was optimal for 3+ years are now punished for it.
I was thinking of doing it on my Catalyst only account. But tbh i'm not sure if it's possible, because there aren't many dps in these elements.
There're only 2 pyro characters (i don't have Klee, so i'll have to take her from any of my friends assuming some one has her with good build and all. My Yanfei is top4% on Europe, she'll be fine), 2 electro characters (I built my Lisa as a burst support dps, so i'm not sure if it's possible with her alone, she's also only c4, and that's a huge loss on dps from her E, because i don't have extra levels on it. Yae is good as a reactor tbh, so soloing with her would be tough, probably will have to get her on emblem set), and 4 anemo characters (Wanderer is fine at least mine. Xianyun can play as a dps if needed. Problem lies with Heizhou, because mine is not properly built and is c0, and with Sucrose who is not a dps, like at all). This makes it 8 + i can claim Baizhu and Wriothesley as additional characters = 10. Thinking that probably i'll need either Baizhu or Xianyun survive till the end + 1 electro + either Yanfei or Klee, it'll be like hell mostly. The only one that can heal himself is Wriothesley. I dunno what strategy to use here, and of course it makes me sad that i need to lvl up some non-catalyst characters on the account (i believe i have Xiangling, Bennet, Beidou and Fischl, i have Diluc and Jean as a 5*, but honestly i don't remember who else i have, because frankly speaking my account was kinda lucky with catalyst characters, so i overall got duplicates of those i already have be it those i need or don't need, i don't have that many characters on the account). I think i'll try to beat it, but catalyst characters are less agile than polearm are, i doubt it'll be easy.

Glad you had enough characters to naturally get into the first stage, but still upset for you that you can’t bring just your well built polearms further than easy. Tho the struggle on hard after leveling some undesirables is entertaining to watch.
As for my own challenge account, yah I’m never getting in which is sooooooo obnoxious cuz Abyss has been here the whole time but isn’t gatekept by all these BS do nothing rules so I can get through with at least 18-21 stars consistently. That doesn’t seem like a lot so I should mention the gimmick of the account is I can’t use bursts (genuine question would Kirara’s C4 be cheating to activate? I think it might be…), I’m f2p, and the big one no level up books. I can ONLY level up by fighting monsters. Mainly activated shrooms to save time and sanity; I’ve hit 9999 of the green drop more than once and have had to combine them.
This “endgame” mode is so easy my main account did hard mode in like 7 minutes of actual combat. But I can’t even challenge this joke on a challenge account where it had the potential to be somewhat of a test because Hoyo decided to add a level cap and force full 4 party teams. Like bruh the teams can end up so random anyway you might only use 1/4 of the characters so it’s not gonna matter if the Amber you throw in just to fill out a slot is level 70 or level 2. It’s just completely arbitrary.
A character not being as leveled on any account doesn’t mean they won’t have access to a solid build of artifacts and weapons. My highest characters currently are only 2 at level 40 yet I have reached AR 58 and have farmed fairly decent artifacts. My level 33 Nahida has a top 1% build on Akasha. Hell my Diluc even has a better build here than my main at top 3% over top 4%. I haven’t even had to rely on a co-op friend to help me out in farming for quite some time. I’m totally fine doing events and getting a fair share of awards at my character levels. The only thing I’m normally gatekept by is only having 1 Sac Frag between Kokomi, Barbara, and Sucrose.
But now 4 years into the game Hoyo decided they didn’t want to make a new endgame mode, they wanted to make a new cash grab. Lock just enough new character dialogues and camera poses for the casuals, teapot mains, and lore enthusiasts who might ignore Abyss behind it and they’ll now want in. Players who need more characters to do this game mode get locked out and can’t get the primos from it. Aka go swipe. Players who have a decent amount of characters but need to level them all at once get spread thin. Aka go resin refresh with your primos to keep up aka go swipe. Players who have spent enough time and/or money to meet the check, go take a nap (if you aren’t in the like 30-50%+ that quit already), your monthly refreshing game mode’s done in under 10 minutes.
Hate to be that person but in comparison WuWa’s Depths of Illusive realm has built in incentive to do it more than once, let’s you exchange for more valuable rewards, will warn you if your character is under leveled but still let you in, and has solid enough builds on the trial ones if your own characters are too weak. It’s not a team check but I had a lot more fun going through the different stages for around 2 hours than the yawn of a 7 minutes I had on my Genshin main where the highlight was seeing what bratty line my Wanderer (who’s C4 & well built but I can’t share with anyone because he’s principal cast -_-“) would say between stages.
I threw out this analogy on another chat but it’s like if Hoyo suddenly decided that, “In order to access any of Natlan and future regions, you now can’t even step foot in til you have 100% exploration in all previous regions down to the last chest and side quest. Should’ve logged all your chests in the official interactive map we totally didn’t just steal the design of off the fan made one and now launched lil bro. That’s ok you can exchange genesis crystals to send your (select few RNG) characters (you may or may not have) out to hunt those missing chests. You get 1 single new dialogue when they come back at the end of week with a single common chest! If you’re extra special (get lucky with the .03% odds) your waifu might even give you an exclusive cute wink! No there’s no skip button in the stories still, enjoy left clicking yourself into early onset arthritis. Oh did we say no skip button, we meant for f2p. You can buy the monthly skip subscription for $20 a month, no we didn’t test it to see if it’s buggy or not.”
Not an entirely exact replica of Hoyo dialogue because I skipped the patronizing customer service emoticons but you get the idea. Really consider this. How much outrage or at least annoyance would something like this cause and why? Would it mainly be that it’s super restrictive to people who don’t have time or who’d rather dedicate themselves to different aspects of the game? Would it be because this is not AT ALL how exploration has worked for the earlier parts of the game and now they changed it to THAT? Would it be that it’s such a stupid reason to prevent you from progressing something you could otherwise do? Would it be those few elitists saying, “well you should have just been doing exploration all along, what’d you expect? It’s supposed to be the end regions, Hoyo’s totally in the right to make sure you’re fully caught up on all the lore from before.” or the other side of the coin I’ve seen before, “just top up.” or “just quit.”

I know… Im used to using TF on him (you use more skills, not just when the eye appears), but was not triggering it with consistency. I shouldve just ignored it and played him boring style (when the eye pops up only vs using additional skills in between with TF). And I was hoping he would trigger TF decently enough in the situations I used him in, hence why I tried.
It’s a cool idea YK but the bad thing is that it’s more towards pay 2 win players since most people who are f2p probably don’t have all characters.
You don't need to lvl them up to 70. 60/60 is enough since the game let me use characters that are 60/60
Just double checked in game, it doesnt show my level 60 diluc/keqing as available to select on my main account. They are available on Normal/Easy (which says level 60 as a requirement), but with Hard they are not available because it requires level 70. Im guessing you were not playing the Hard difficulty with the full 8 acts. Even lowering the requirement from 70 to 60 would be a big help resource wise though

It was functionally a C3 Arlecchino, which is where most of her constellation value is. I also have *very* good artifacts on her now too lol. C2 made more of a difference than anything, but I dont think it wouldve been all that much harder without it. Maybe will try clearing with the trial arlecchino on stream sometime

Primogems are nowhere near my primary issue with the gamemode, personally. Reward wise I think its a bit rough that they split it up for some players, that do not have many characters leveled because they hyperinvested in specific units. But its basically the same amount of primos as we got full clearing abyss before. But its easier in some ways and harder in others

Genuinely who or even how was this mode approved. Its so bland and boring, it has terrible rewards, its way too easy while trying REALLY hard to restrict your options and they nerfed abyss rewards for it? Imagine if every time star rail added a new end game they removed rewards from previous ones

How are the rewards terrible? Pretty standard amount you see for every hoyo endgame mode. Across abyss and this the total rewards shot up as well.
They are increasing rewards and adjusting the difficulty. If you don't like it, wait and see if they'll change it before yapping.
