I don't understand how the irs is working. This my first time applying for refund and I did the e-file on 25 May. But a Letter 12C was sent to me on 9th June to confirm me wages so I faxed my W-2 Wage to their faxing number on the 16 June and on the letter they said I have to wait 6 weeks - 8 weeks and yet I've not received no email or call to confirm they've got my fax document. And where is my refund still saying my refund is still being processed. I'm confused

I'm sorry you're having these difficulties, but unfortunately, the IRS moves slowly in these situations. A real person at the IRS needs to look at your documents and compare them to the records they have. They say 6 - 8 weeks, but I might give the IRS twice that time. If you haven't heard anything after 6 weeks, you can call the IRS and make sure they've received your response. At this point they won't be able to tell you anything. You will eventually get your refund, and as a small silver lining, they'll pay you interest on it from the date the tax return was due.
