Wow! Sapa is so commercialised now. 8 years ago I went don't have Heaven Gate and cable car. Last time not crowded now very crowded. 😁😁 But it is a beautiful place.

I went there twice by night train.very original countryside feel.tasted their homemake green apple wine will knock u down.during winter season is freezing.can be as low as 1 degree.
about 500-600 stairs give or take, there's a funicular you can take to reach "almost" the peak but still need to climb few more stairs. if wanna see "guan yin" & big buddha statues need to go by stairs which the funicular car won'nt cover it
