man this type of video really makes me think, about the lives they lived, what was going on in their everyday over the years, everything in between as the years grinded by, to the weather, what society as a whole was like at the peak of their careers, the struggles/happiness they might of had then, gfs/bs, holidays, dinners, only to be 2019. ahhhh...time is bittersweet

the sad part i that in 50 years from now no one will even know who these people were and what was their status as an actor or if they were actors
But their loved ones,grand children will. It doesn’t matter sometimes about everyone else
"The Twilight Zone" is one of my favorite 60's television series. Rod Serling was a true genius and a futurist when he created "The Twilight Zone" series. My favorite series episode is "Little Girl Lost"; the episode concerns a young girl who falls out of bed and rolls through a portal to another dimension. Thanks for creating and posting this interesting retrospect on the numerous actors that appeared on "The Twilight Zone" throughout the series six (6) year run.

Surprising how young many of them were when they passed away. Almost like a curse, you trade a long life for fame.
Me too. Ingers died at age 35, but that was a suicide. The others, died in their 50s or early 60s. This is a very young age to die. Most of the comments are blaming the lifestyle they led, and I think this guess is accurate.

I saw this episode when I was a kid -i'm french.
She committed suicide. I loved her when I was a boy and I was very saddened to hear she killed herself. I love the show "The Farmer's Daughter". She was also in many westerns in the 1960's.
I did not know Inger Stevens had killed herself. Very sad.

So many died in their 60's, I'm 65 now, uh oh.................
But a lot went on their 80's. Jim Hutton, Steve Cochran, and Inger Stevens went before 50. You're over that hump, so don't sweat it.....👍

There were many that I recognize by name, face but there were others that I just recognize by face only . As far as the people being deceased my condolences to all of the families,friends,co-workers,neighbors as well . May you all rest in peace . To the actors and actresses who were in different television programs you done a wonderful job of acting on your part,it was enjoyable to watch you . Thank you for giving us all entertainment . Your fans miss you & love you so very much . You're gone but not forgotten .

Babyfaced Jim Hutton (Maj. William Gart) was actor Timothy Hutton's father. I remember Jim Hutton when he played the lead character in the detective show "Ellery Queen" back in the late 70s.
Wow, the resemblance is there. If I didn't know I would have thought it was Timothy.
I loved that show.
@@merce10554 So did I. I was in high school at the time. I think Jim Hutton died while filming the series.
@@ilovegoodsax He died 3 years after the show was cancelled. Anyway, he passed away way before his time. So sad.
@@merce10554 Thanks for the clarification. I only knew he had died because it was constantly being mentioned when Timothy was nominated for his supporting actor role in "Ordinary People" back in 1981.
Ross Martin was an amazing actor. It was so fun seeing him on Password Plus, which airs on the BUZZR channel. He seemed so nice and down to earth. He was great. May he R.I.P.

I remember Beverly Garland from My Three Sons and Burgess Meredith from Batman.
And she starred in the first- ever policewoman series in the early '50's, beating Angie Dickinson.

I get that you meant "many of these actors appeared in multiple episodes" of the Twilight Zone. You are so right! Some actors and actresses have been in two episodes like Inger Stevens. But guys like Burgess Meredith have appeared in 3! Time enough at Last, Obsolete, & Mr. Dingle. It's rare to see Twilight Zone cast them in 3 episodes. Shatner did two... Klugman did two episodes also, so did Arlene Sax.
I remember every single episode represented here.
I miss Ross Martin...he was so talented on the Wild Wild West! He was the master of disguises!
J Joel yes , I totally agree, even better then Landau's work on mission impossible because it was ross in each role with make up, Martian many times used the real actor for the character he was becoming.

A lot of these died young sadly.
I noticed that some of the men that died in their 40s, 50s/early 60s looked a lot older than what they were in their "after" photo which is likely a testament to the lifestyle that may have sent them to their early graves. And the ones that lived past the age of 80 all look like they've lived good lives in their later years. Good to see Earl Holliman still alive and kickin' at 90 and he looks great! I remember him for his role opposite Angie Dickenson in the 70s show "Police Story."
Smoking does wonders for your skin. Seemed like everyone smoked back then.

I was doing a guessing game while watching. "Still with us" or "gone". The older looking ones were an easy guess. A few younger ones surprised me that they're gone. I wasn't counting how many I got right or wrong but it felt like most were guessed correctly.

Was a great pal of Steve McQueen too, that's why you see him in some of his movies.
Saw Earl Holloman in person once on a TV stage set at Warner Brothers studios in the 70's.

A veteran "bad guy" actor of 1950s film and TV, he began his career after distinguished World War II military service as a United States Navy pilot, for which he received the Navy Cross, an accomplished pilot, Williams also worked as an examiner for the FAA.
Doug McClure later worked with Dan Duryea again in Checkmate and The Virginian and with Martin Landau in Checkmate and Ken Lynch, also in Mr Denton on Doomsday was the resident cop , Lt. Brand, in Checkmate.
William Reynolds is still a charm in his 90s. WOW!
Will there be a part four? There are other actors out there that wern't mentioned. Like the actresses who played Norma and Mrs. Bronson.
I believe Charles Bronson is in one of the first 3 videos, but I could be mistaken.

Richard Basehart, played Adam. Later was Admiral Nelson on Voyage to the Bottom of the Sea. Great actor with a great voice.
Allegheny Rebel baseheart is the only reason to watch Voyage , bringing dignity and class to the role because in season 2 and after it became a kiddie show.
Was cast as "The Fool" in Fellini's masterpiece "La Strada, with Anthony Quinn as the sadistic, weak- minded strongman Zampanò who was tormented and ridiculed by Baseharts character to a tragic end.

Inger Stevens died so young from an overdose. I heard she had been suicidal before. But the circumstances of her death are very suspicious. Maybe accidental. She was in the middle of making a sandwich.
She was beautiful !!
Her death was officially ruled suicidal, an intentional overdose of barbiturates in 1970; she had married a black man, Ike Jones, in 1961, but so that it wouldn't harm her career (interracial marriages were seriously frowned upon then) they maintained separate residences and filing tax documents as single people. After her death, her brother confirmed that she and Ike were indeed married.
I always thought Inger Stevens was so pretty! It's a shame she died so young.
