Hi Stan, I have a Hilton honors card that I applied last month and I tried to apply for the surpass now and was in pop up jail. Followed what you did and applied from the suggested doctor of credit link. Was approved with the bonus and reward night !! It works ! Stan’s the man!
Stan the man!! I can now continue up the Hilton ladder and just grabbed the surpass after dealing with pop up jail for the past couple months. This will allow for us to grab three FNC’s between me and P2. Thank you for the information about the NLL links 👍🏼
Heyy Xavier! Thanks so much for the Super 🐸! That is so awesome that you'll be able to pick up 3 FNC's! I actually plan to do the same with my wife applying for the Surpass card sometime next month. I would do so as well, but Amex limits my card accounts so I'm just going to have to wait until next time haha! It's a great time to jump on the Hilton ladder!!
Stan! This is the definition of serious value - no annual fees, 165,000 combined points, and 2 free nights all while escaping pop up jail. Well done! I'm currently riding the Chase Ink train while getting under 5/24, but would have totally jumped on this otherwise. Great video!
Hey Josh! Hey, no worries man. The Ink train is a hard train to get off of, haha! But I think a close second, at least right now, are these Hilton welcome offers. This is a crazy combined welcome offer, but with Chase's 40k UR Ink referral bonuses. If you could cross refer 2 CIC 75k offers, that would be 230k URs, which is actually insane value too. The only negative with a dual Ink strategy is the spend requirement which is $12,000 instead of $4,000 for these NAF HH cards, but it's all about perspective.
I also got into pop jail last week by using my wife's Hilton Honor's card referral link. Now, just tried your way and I got instant approval!!! Thank you Stan for the tip
No way!! I guess we both had the same experience (except sounds like you got auto-approved with the NLL link!) That's amazing Charlie! Big congrats on the new welcome offer!! 🎉🎉
Yes! The same was to me… Pop Jail with the link from a friend… Denied for have 5 card and I did the cancellation of 1 and I received the approval after reconsideration line! Same process
That's awesome Warren! Yeah, that 5-card limit is pretty annoying, but I'm glad you were able to get this offer through the NLL link! Hopefully this guide will help many others to get this amazing offer as well!
Absolutely! I'm so happy to hear that this worked for you! Being in pop-up jail sucks, especially for a welcome offer like this one! Haha, I'll don't know how I'd look like as a GOAT, but I'll take it! 🐸 --> 🐐
holly smokes ... it worked !! I tried to get this card recently and got pop up jail. After seeing this video I tried it again with the link you provided . Thanks Stan for your tips I really enjoy your channel and have learned so much..
That's awesome Joseph! I'm so happy to hear that you were able to avoid pop-up jail with this DoC NLL link! It's definitely a great time to get this HH card and it's very nice welcome offer with one free night! Thanks for being a supporter of the channel - it means a lot!
Thanks Stan! Just canceled my Hilton Business and did everything you mentioned. Had to call in for the manual review and got approved for the surpass with free night award. Thanks for the tip. I’ve been in and out of pop up jail for that last two years 😅
That's awesome John, and you're welcome! I'm so happy to hear that you switched from the Business to the Surpass. The Surpass is now the better card for sure - and you were able to get a GREAT welcome offer out of it. Congrats 🎉🎉
Was in popup jail for the Hilton Aspire up until April of this year. For datapoints, I grabbed the no annual fee Hilton Honors and Hilton Surpass cards on back to back months last year in June and July. Called a representative after being in popup jail last November and all she did was apply for me and read me the popup jail message (great help I know....). Finally got out of popup jail using a link to apply for the Aspire card that was posted on the doctor of credit site that had no lifetime language in the terms. The sub is complete, points have hit and the FNC was issued.
Very nice Johnny! Yeah, I’m thinking of also getting the HH and Surpass back to back, especially because they both have FNCs right now for their welcome offers. Definitely have to keep checking that DoC site for the links, and that’s awesome that you’ve completed your Hilton credit card ladder! I wonder if these links are truly NLL though. I guess we’ll have to test them in the future!
Congrats on your approvals on the Hilton Honors cards and on beating Amex pop-up jail. The NAF Hilton card is probably the best card to get, when getting Hilton cards, in case Amex decides to add family language to the terms and conditions regarding the welcome offer. I got my Hilton Honors card in March 2023 and I tried to apply for the Surpass card in July 2023 and I ended up in popup jail. At that point, I decided to garden my Chase 5/24 status so I could go after the Chase Sapphire Preferred. Now that I have the CSP, I am thinking of trying to apply for the Surpass again in July 2024.
Thanks John! Yeah, the good news about this offer is that there's still about 6 weeks left on it, so like you said, if you need to complete a welcome offer for a different card - the card should be available all the way up to the end of July. It's also great that the spend requirements are relatively low comparatively to other mid-tier cards AND you have 6 months to complete it, which is super flexible. If you haven't had the Surpass yet, definitely consider it in July 2024. With two Hilton cards, hopefully you can start playing that Hilton credit card ladder.
Stan, just wanted to let you know, your video helped me beat the Amex PUJ too! I had been trying to get the Aspire with my wife's referral and always in PUJ for several months. I would've never thought to use the Doctor of Credit link for the Surpass, which I don't mind getting for now and then upgrading a year later. I did just that and got the sign up bonus! Thank you very much and I'm now a subscriber and a big fan!
That’s awesome Henry!! Yes the Surpass welcome offer is a great deal right now, and it’s even better that you were able to get the card and avoid popup jail! The Surpass isn’t the Aspire, but I think it’s a great card, and you have a lower annual fee with an FNC (maybe 2 if you can spend $15k on it by the end of the year. Congrats on the new card!! 🎉🎉
Hey Stan. Just wanted to drop by and say thanks for clueing me in on those NLL offers. I got a second Surpass at its current elevated welcome offer because of it.
@silkyjohnson3211 it will be on the card. You can also combine accounts using Hilton as well, so no big deal, just an extra step. They’ll probably have to issue you a new card with the right HH # on it, but your card number should stay the same.
Thank you for the video! I just applied for the Surpass (2nd time having it, upgraded original one to Aspire in Feb after having it for a year since I was stuck in PUJ and got an extra free night as a upgrade bonus) and was just approved after being in PUJ for more than a year excluding business cards.
Wow that’s awesome!! Congrats on the new Surpass card with the amazing welcome offer 🎉🎉! You said something that is interesting though.. you got an upgrade bonus for Surpass to Aspire with an extra free night! I need to keep my eye out for that upgrade offer when I get to that part of the Hilton ladder eventually!!
180k Hilton Points + 2 FNC's (including the referrals) for 2 $0 Annual Fee really cannot be beat haha. Like you mentioned, Hilton making it so easy to transfer points between accounts is key as well! PUJ is so frustrating haha- bummer that you couldn't use your wife's referral link because of it, but glad you were able to work around PUJ and still get approved (even after some extra work with the Customer Service Rep haha). Great video Stan!
Man, all my applications are so complicated! I wish I could just apply for a card and get auto-approved, but for some reason Amex always makes me work for it! It’s worth it though. Even if I couldn’t get the referral offer from my wife, the welcome offer on its own is more than enough. I’m just trying to get extra toppings on my cake 🤣. Appreciate it Matt!
Stan, you are the FU**ING GOAT. I’ve been in pop up jail for a year. I’ve tried applying for the Hilton cards 6 times over the last 2 months. I guess it’s good, that I was in jail because I wouldn’t of gotten the FNC bonus. But anyways, I wouldn’t of known about that DOC link. I just got approved. Thanks dawg💯💯
Woo!!! That's what I'm talking about my bro! Yeah, it was definitely meant to be because this HH offer is a really good one, and you were able to wait out for it. Congrats on the new card, and I'm so happy that I was able to help you make it happen! 🥳🎉
Thank you for the tip!! I had already applied for the CSP for the 75k earlier this week when i found out i was in PUJ. But ill definitely think about trying this before the offer ends in july!!
Ooh very nice! Yeah, you should definitely get this before the offer ends. You have 6 months to complete it so there should be plenty of time to accomplish the $2k or $3k MSR, depending on what you choose to do!
Hey Stan if I’m looking to get both the basic Hilton honors cards and the surpass how do you think I should go about it? Should I apply for both within 5 minutes of each other or wait 1 week between applications. I’m really confused. Great video by the way! Thanks!
Since Amex has a 1 in 5 rule where you can't apply for more than 1 Amex card in 5 days. I would wait at least 5 days before applying for the Hilton Surpass card after applying for the Hilton Honors card.
Found myself in PUJ for the first time trying to get this offer on the no AF card. DoC link worked like a charm! Now to decide if I’m gonna give up another 5/24 spot for the Surpass….
@@TheCreditFrog Following up on this: I was wondering if the fact that I was in PUJ for the no AF card would also mean PUJ for the Surpass. I applied last night and I did NOT get the pop-up. However I did get declined for having too many cards, so I canceled my Amex Amazon Business card (haven't used it since canceling Amazon Prime). I'll call recon for the Surpass later today. What's interesting about this is I used the chat system through the app to specifically ask if I needed to cancel a card before applying and was told no, my account is fine, I can go ahead and apply. Shows once again that while the chat system in the Amex app is extremely convenient, the representatives are probably not as knowledgeable as the ones you reach via phone call.
This is awesome Stan! My wife & I have both been in pop-up jail for some time. I won't be going for this card as I'm at 4/24 and am targeting 1 or 2 Ink cards, but my wife will almost certainly go for it using the approach that you took. Appreciate you for sharing your experience, and congrats on those incredible bonuses!
Thanks so much, Monty! Yeah you should definitely try to refer her for this NAF HH card because the welcome offer is great! If not, you have the DoC link to use too so you get two shots to get approved haha! Best of luck to her, and yeah if you get those Ink cards, you're going to have a ton of points to use for your next vacation!
Thanks so much Joe! I try to jam pack all my videos with knowledge pearls and had a lot of fun making this one (especially because it had a good ending, haha) Appreciate it! Sincerely, the Credit Coqui 🐸
Stan with the Hilton cards! This was great being able to see this process and was super insightful. I need to do more research on NLL cause that seems crazy being able to repeat SUBs! And I’m glad you got out of PUJ, those FNCs are worth it!
Thanks Cody! Yeah, it sounds like these are true NLL offers so if you could repeat welcome offers like this, I would say that it's (almost) as good as getting on the Ink train. Yeah UR points are good and all, but Hilton FNCs are unmatched if you have a great redemption in mind. I appreciate it bro!
Dude I’ve been in pop up jail forever. Just because I have too many cards in general. Thank you for sharing this! I’m going to try it out. Would like another video or two on this
@@TheCreditFrog wow it worked, didn't even know this was a thing! Do they usually have these "No lifetime language" card offers or is this a rare thing
Thanks Stan because of the doctor of credit link. I made it out of pop up jail. I didn’t get approved for the card like I was expecting because I have a couple new accounts lately with other issuers. I’ll try again in November anyways.
@@TheCreditFrog yeah I was fine not being approved. Being out of pop up jail is a win for me. I don’t need the card until November anyways. I made sure to book Mark the doctor of credit link
The combination of brilliant strategy, tenacity, and resourcefulness demonstrated here is awesome Stan! But man, a 31k CL for the wife was🔥 Congrats on this win brother🥳👋🏾👍🏾
I appreciate that Nkosi! Yeah, I really have to work for these welcome offers but I’m happy that my wife wa able to secure such a solid offer on a no annual fee credit card! Definitely a big win!! Also, I appreciate you so much for being a 1-yr channel member! Thanks for your support as always!!
Stan and company, player two would apply using the same Hilton rewards number (as P1) correct? Can more than 1 person have a card linked to a now “joint” Hilton rewards account. Stacking rewards on a single account.
No, you would use a separate Hilton Honors number for your P2. When your P2 gets the welcome offer, they can transfer the points to you or vice versa. Hilton allows up to 500k points transferred between two Hilton Honors members per year
@ Amazing, greatly appreciated your response. Working on the 3x Aspire now for myself. Surpass and Base Rewards Cards are being delivered today. Hurray annual fee’s being waved. 🪖 Stacking BOA (Platinum): Cash Rewards, Premium Rewards, Premium Elite With 3 Aspires (eventually) and Marriott Brilliant. Earned $1350 from BOA and an upcoming 265,000 Hilton points. Wedding spending has been going great. And paid off in full. Working to move away from Amex Gold/Platinum for when I separate from the service in a few years. BOA will be the long game for my family.
Canceled the biz on Sunday todays Weds, used the DoC link to apply, denied due to too many cards (lol); called recon and they put it in manual review . No pop up jail at least!
I appreciate that Dalton! Yes, I hope this helps a lot of people so they can get this AMAZING welcome offer. Hopefully it counts as NLL so even if they have the card already, they could get the offer too!
Yes, I was referring to hard pulls. If you have one personal Amex card, every other Amex app is a soft pull. This is not the same if your first card is a business Amex card.
Hey stan that was a great 1-2 punch right there! Question: I have been gardening for chase. Currently 8/24 but wont be 4/24 until april 2025. Got my trifecta but would like another ink card. Do you think its worth postponing chase to snag a Hilton card? The Surpass is on my list of eventual cards to get. But i could easily go for that honors to get the free cert & later pc or apply for the surpas. What you think?
Thanks Doc! So for your situation, I would just see when the next card will drop off after 4/2025, if its only a couple of months later, then I would go for the HH now. But if it's like another year like in 2026, then I would definitely hold off! These are great offers and what's nice about getting the HH now is that you can have that cooking (1-yr until PC) while you're gardening your Chase 5/24!
@@TheCreditFrog - thank you stan. That is some solid advice. I just checked my credit history. If i go for the hilton card now, it will only move 4/24 status april 2025 to june 2025 😁 Now i just have to decide honors or surpass!! 😮
PSA: It can be very difficult to get ahold of a live customer service rep that will actually push your application through reconsideration. On my first attempt (called the app status phone number and followed the prompts) I was actually told there is NO reconsideration process and they said after 30 days I can apply again, or apply for a different card. They even checked with their supervisor and confirmed. Called the number back again, skipped the 'application status' workflow and just went with 'main menu' and said 'representative.' The automated system kept trying to get me to input the last four digits of the card I was calling about but I just kept hitting the # key until it finally connected me with someone. THAT person was finally able to help. Verified that I had actually canceled one of my cards and then put it through to recon. Now I'm waiting patiently for the result!
Wow, sounds like they really did a lot of transfers when you called customer service! But yeah, you definitely have to find the right agent who knows what they are doing. Hopefully, you're situation will end up in an approval! It should since it sounds like you were just maxed out on cards and since you canceled there should be a slot open for the new one! Usually it takes less than 48 hours to get the approval email, at least, that's been my experience.
How do you actually get out of Pop Up Jail? I got the honors card a few days ago and my plan was to grab the surpass card in like 10 days then grab the aspire card around December but now that I am in Pop up Jail, not sure that plan will work and I am annoyed with amex lol. I put spend on my business card and had no personal cards.
Spending on the cards is the technique that is recommended most commonly, but there isn't an exact answer on how to get out of PUJ. But with these DoC links, a lot of people have had success with getting out of pop-up jail with these cards!
I tried your link for the Hilton honors card, and unfortunately, I was offered the card but without the welcome offer. Any advice? I already have the Hilton surpass card that I got 3 months ago
For my P2 I tried both applying for Hilton card with referral link and without referral, no go. I tried different Hilton cards also. But she can get any other card, except of Hilton.
Authorized users do not add to 5/24 count. If at all there is a denial because of that you can talk to Recon and mention those were Auth users and they resolve the approval issue. (has happened to me/P2 in the past)
Thanks Remgb. Yes, AUs should not count towards Chase 5/24, but will certainly do so when it comes to online applications. While there have been some data points where you can explain that a card is an AU, and the application could be approved, there are other instances I've seen where the AU counted for Chase 5/24 and the application was denied. It's one of those YMMV scenarios with no clear right answer - but it certainly does not hurt to try to call recon if you're over Chase 5/24 with an AU!
My wife and I are starting our Hilton ladders! The roadmap will change, but essentially next up is the Surpass! We’ll get it either this cycle or next year, then followed by the Aspire. Then downgrade and play the upgrade ladder.
@@TheCreditFrog thanks, I went with the Surpass, I’ll get enough use out of the quarterly hotel credit and the Gold level breakfast credit. I can’t justify the Aspire at this point as I don’t stay at Hilton Resorts and don’t use Clear. The sign up bonus on the Surpass came with the free night so I am taking this opportunity to evaluate and then can just upgrade if I want, not worried about chasing another SUB as I feel like I am reaching max capacity with cards.🤣
@@TheCreditFrog the surpass is great. My wife has one as we try the 2 player strategy We’ve been able to use the quarterly $50 credit to purchase Hilton gift cards if we don’t book a stay and save them for a future trip
Will probably end up doing this on my wife’s side! Not for me though, I’m trying to stay under Chase 5/24 and I also don’t have any Amex cards to cancel for a new Surpass yet!
Haha, it takes a lot of patience for sure PhilMo! Once I buy a house, I may get a little crazy with the applications once I lock in that mortgage! Not happening anytime soon though but still have to keep it in mind!
Did you have any problems with your Marriott cards? I just applied for the Amex business Marriott and have had the Chase/ Ritz two years and two days and got a pop up that I am not eligible for a bonus. Planning to try again in a few weeks
I haven't personally tried for any Marriott cards. I know that it's 24 months after you complete the welcome offer so maybe that's a part of it. Hopefully you'll be able to snag that Bonvoy Business welcome offer! You could also try applying through the Marriott website instead of going from Amex - I've heard that could be an option!
As an upcoming freshmen in college I’ve been piggybacking off my parents Using a discover-it card. Now that I turned 18 I considered getting the Amex gold card with all the hype surrounding it. I realized that the travel perks are nice but I would only be traveling maybe 1-2 times a year. And with limited income the AF just seems unrealistic. I like the whole Membership rewards program compared to only getting Cashback with Discover but I want to be able to have more options. I want to keep piggybacking off my parents’ great credit but also have a card of my own. As a full time college student maybe working part-time what cards would you suggest?
Any no annual fee credit card would be great! As someone who is just starting out, I recommend student cards or cards like the Chase Freedom Rise/Flex/Unlimited. Because you already have a Discover It, Chase should be able to approve you for your first Chase card and you can go from there!
Thank you for your suggestion, I’m thinking of getting the Chase trio with Preferred, Unlimited, and flex. After a couple years what cards should I move to next?
It varies between 4-6 credit cards depending on the person, but yes, mine is 5. It's 5 total Amex credit cards, personal and business (does not count hybrid cards like Amex Platinum/Gold etc).
I'm not entirely sure. If it truly is a NLL link, than yes, I'd probably always use that link if I can! Of course, if you want to play the referral game with a P2, you'd have to use their link instead.
@@Zenichiro do you know if the family language applies? So if I got the more expensive version of Amex cards, can I still apply for the less expensive version via the NLL link?
Correct, the DoC link is not a referral link (at least for me) so no referral bonus, but in this situation, the welcome offer is so good, I'm ok with that.

Great work Stan! Congrats to you and the Mrs! Great walkthrough of the process
Thanks so much! Yes, it was a little bumpy on the way in (on my side at least), but we got both offers so that’s what counts!
Congrats! Although you didnt get that 2nd referral its still a win. And that link is going to be clutch for some ppl!
Thanks Darius! I agree, avoiding popup jail for an offer like this one is insane, and hopefully a lot of others can beat popup jail too!
@@TheCreditFrog Yea hopefully! I can't imagine how annoying it must be for some ppl. I'm crossing my fingers that my day never comes hahah
This was clutch showing us how it’s done. Thanks Stan!!
Of course Ninja! These HH welcome offers are too good to pass up, and is a great time to jump onto the Hilton ladder if you're ready!
Thanks just got this card because of u..used the doc link... got aspire and this...
Awesome! Congrats on the new card!! 🎉
Always appreciate your take on these issues.
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed it!
Currently in Pop up jail. Is there any working links for the Amex Hilton Aspire Card if in Pop up jail?
Not right now as far as I know
@ was able to find a targeted offer in my email from Hilton about 15 days ago. Always using your tips. Thanks 🙏
awesome!!
Is there a viable link? Im in puj for the aspire :(
This is an old video. I don’t think there’s a replacement link yet!
Wow now ima subscribe
I just got approved with the welcome offer for the card even thru the damn pop up jail thanks man wow
Congrats on the new card!! 🎉🎉 Congrats on getting out of popup jail!
Found myself in PUJ for the first time trying to get this offer on the no AF card. DoC link worked like a charm! Now to decide if I’m gonna give up another 5/24 spot for the Surpass….
I'm glad it worked for you! Congrats on the new card!! 🎉 I'm having the same dilemma, haha!
Nice work! That’s so great to get 2 of these welcome offers for $0 annual fee
Thanks Jacob! Yeah, these are some pretty nice offers!
This was just an amazing video! I learned so much and I can’t thank you enough for that Papi! You are the man! Thank you !
Would like another video or two on this
Glad to help! Hopefully the links work for you! 👍
@@TheCreditFrog wow it worked, didn't even know this was a thing! Do they usually have these "No lifetime language" card offers or is this a rare thing
@takeoffoptions Congrats on getting out of popup jail!! This is kind of a rare thing, but definitely worth knowing about as you just found out 👍
Thanks Stan because of the doctor of credit link. I made it out of pop up jail. I didn’t get approved for the card like I was expecting because I have a couple new accounts lately with other issuers. I’ll try again in November anyways.
Ah, dang. Yeah, it’s probably best to wait it out and reapply when your credit history is in better shape!
@@TheCreditFrog yeah I was fine not being approved. Being out of pop up jail is a win for me. I don’t need the card until November anyways. I made sure to book Mark the doctor of credit link
Awesome tip! Thanks for the info + video!
You bet Jimmy James!!
@@TheCreditFrog 1 yr of learning! Someday I will share how much you've influenced how I see the CC game...
Stacking BOA (Platinum): Cash Rewards, Premium Rewards, Premium Elite
With 3 Aspires (eventually) and Marriott Brilliant.
Damn! Yeah at least no PUJ! I hope you can get it since the offers are so good right now!
Congrats on breaking out of pop-up jail Stan, this will be useful for a lot of people
I appreciate that Dalton! Yes, I hope this helps a lot of people so they can get this AMAZING welcome offer. Hopefully it counts as NLL so even if they have the card already, they could get the offer too!
This is an absolute slam dunk...congrats Stan!
Thanks so much Joe!
6:54. Business cards also. My P2 has no personal Amex cards, and she is getting approved for all other Amex cards, except Hilton.
Yes, I was referring to hard pulls. If you have one personal Amex card, every other Amex app is a soft pull. This is not the same if your first card is a business Amex card.
@@TheCreditFrog The same with Business. My P2 has no hard pulls with Amex.
@@yurig2530 I’ve seen otherwise. I’m happy your wife doesn’t have any hard pulls!
Great info like always Stan!
Appreciate it JP!
Nice video, Stan! I love my Amex
Thanks bro! Yeah, Amex has some great cards and welcome offers as we can see in this video, haha!
Hey stan that was a great 1-2 punch right there!
Question:
I have been gardening for chase.
If i go for the hilton card now, it will only move 4/24 status april 2025 to june 2025 😁
Now i just have to decide honors or surpass!! 😮
It feels illegal to be here this early. I always look forward to your videos man!
Haha, I appreciate you being here, and thanks for the support! Glad you're enjoying the content!
Damnnn I’m here early for this one too!! Beast Stan at it again!
Thanks Tony! I had a great time with this one! Thanks for being here early (but not earlier than CJ haha)
Super interesting that you can get MR points thru referral for opening a Hilton card!
Definitely! One of the nice perks of referral links from MR point earning cards!
Hello Stan, If I get a Chase Ink Business Preferred today, could I also apply for Hilton Surpass today?
You could certainly apply for it, and maybe get one, but nothing is guaranteed. Having said that, you miss 100% of the shots you don't take!
I have this card, too! I got it when the bonus was 100,000 pts, but no free nights.
Very nice! Thats also a nice offer too!
@@TheCreditFrog just got the approval first thing this morning!
@@Airport_Dad Alright!! Congrats on the new card! 🎉
Great video Stan , Is there a link to go around being in pop up jail to get the platinum card ?
I’m not sure if there’s one, but maybe one is out there!
I broke free from Pop-up jail using the referral link! Hilton surpass and honors in the same week!
Awesome!! Wow what a deal for those 2 cards! Congrats buddy 🎉🎉!!
I got this card with the same DOC link last year with the 80k points. Player 2 may as well this year. Great deal for sure
It’s an excellent deal! Was the welcome offer similar last year? I can’t remember.
@@TheCreditFrog 80k and a free night
@@Zenichiro Even better than this one - nice work!
@@TheCreditFrog I didn’t get a referral but plan on player 2 getting ref as well. You should review Cardless Avianca next
@@Zenichiro Nice! I’ll have to look into that card!
Enjoy the Hilton cards congrats on the approvals!
Thanks Shawn! Appreciate it bro!
Did you try the link for the Doctor of Credit website? That was the one that avoided PUJ for me. Did you get the popup with that link?
@@TheCreditFrog you are the man . Just got approved for 20k . Ty sir
For my P2 I tried both applying for Hilton card with referral link and without referral, no go. I tried different Hilton cards also. But she can get any other card, except of Hilton.
There must be something about those Hilton cards!
What is your roadmap strategy for these cards
My wife and I are starting our Hilton ladders! The roadmap will change, but essentially next up is the Surpass! We’ll get it either this cycle or next year, then followed by the Aspire. Then downgrade and play the upgrade ladder.
It worked, thanks Stan!!
Awesome! You’re welcome!
Congrats Stan! What properties are you considering for your FNCs?
Thanks! Nothing specific yet, but I'm trying to plan a trip to Asia in 2025!
The Hilton Honors is the only Amex I have, and for some reason it really feels like it’s one of my highest tier cards.
I can see what you mean. Personally, I’m looking forward to getting the Hilton Surpass. Hilton Gold (or above) is so nice when staying at Hiltons
@@TheCreditFrog the surpass is great. My wife has one as we try the 2 player strategy We’ve been able to use the quarterly $50 credit to purchase Hilton gift cards if we don’t book a stay and save them for a future trip
Hello Stan! Why not run this strategy with the Surpass card? Extra points for a minor credit card fee, then maybe downgrade after first year?
Will probably end up doing this on my wife’s side! Not for me though, I’m trying to stay under Chase 5/24 and I also don’t have any Amex cards to cancel for a new Surpass yet!
@@TheCreditFrog instead of this Hilton card you got, wouldn’t it have been better to get the surpass’ offer instead?
I want to go up the ladder in case Amex puts family language on the Hilton cards.
So jealous of ur inquiry stats Stan!!!!! Wish I had some chill. LoL
@@TheCreditFrog Great tips! Thank you so much!
Excellent info!
Of course! Glad to have helped! 👍
I got question does Hilton Amex point expire?
Yes, they expire after 24 consecutive months of inactivity. Any activity during this time resets the timer!
It will depend on your situation. Focus on getting the Chase trifecta first!
Is it 5 cards for personal and business together?
It varies between 4-6 credit cards depending on the person, but yes, mine is 5. It's 5 total Amex credit cards, personal and business (does not count hybrid cards like Amex Platinum/Gold etc).
That’s great too know. So charge cards do not count?
@@tdo2952 Correct!
So I have the America express gold card .
Could I refer my girl for the Hilton and get the referral point?
You sure can!
Nice plus I just got 50k points from doing a timeshare just to say no 1000 times
Thanks for the info
Gotta work for those points 🤣
Why didn’t you apply for HH personal credit card?
I did. I wanted to start with the HH card in case there’s some family language shenanigans. Now I can move up the Hilton ladder to the Surpass next!
@@TheCreditFrog Nice.
Congrats! Does that mean it’s always better to use the doctor of credit website to apply since it has no lifetime language? That sounds too OP.
I'm not entirely sure. If it truly is a NLL link, than yes, I'd probably always use that link if I can! Of course, if you want to play the referral game with a P2, you'd have to use their link instead.
It’s definitely NLL as I had this card in 2018 and got it again in 2023 on DOC link
@@Zenichiro Nice! Thanks for leaving that data point. May have to come around with this application again in the future!
@@Zenichiro do you know if the family language applies? So if I got the more expensive version of Amex cards, can I still apply for the less expensive version via the NLL link?
@@MrDubs6000 you can apply if under 5 cards. My 23 year old was able to get the no annual fee.

Thanks so much! Thats awesome - these are very good welcome offers to get if you can!
So in other words if you get hit with pop up jail you can’t use referrals….your wife didn’t get a referral bonus from your application?
Correct, the DoC link is not a referral link (at least for me) so no referral bonus, but in this situation, the welcome offer is so good, I'm ok with that.
