Loving all these videos. They have been very helpful. One thing I’m running into is I have a school or fish like 30,000 fish and they are following a locator on a curve path...the one thing I am trying to get is to not have them explode out at the very beginning. It would be nice to have them already kind of scattered. I tried playing with initial state but it does some weird restarting and stuttering that doesn’t work right. Any ideas? Also I ha e a poly object assigned as an obstacle mesh but how do I remove it if I don’t want it set as an obstacle anymore? Any help or direction would be super helpful for this project we are working on. Thanks again !!
Hello Ian, how to make flight objects roll? For example: you have paper planes and when they turn right/left they must roll like real planes. I didn't find a way to cheat the roll amount like the curve node have. Anyway, thanks for the incredible work with mash, we cannot thought Maya without it now ^^
nice tutorial, but where I can find the [In prey]and [In predator] node in node Editor? Just can't find those 2 node in maya 2017? anything changed or missing step? thanks for your sharing~
I'm having a ton of trouble with Flight. If the object i'm using with a MASH network is too small, does it blow this simulation all to hell? Whenever i press play all my fish explode outwardly very quickly beyond the search distance and they won't come back.
Ok. So i think the answer to my previous question is yes. (i think) Very small objects don't seem to behave very well with flight. I fixed my mess by making my object a bigger more reasonable size, creating the MASH, adding the flight node, and then adding a transform node to make everything smaller. Weird. But i think i may just survive this!
Have you turned off any initial distribution? So all the objects are a 0,0,0 when the sim starts? Another thing you'll need to do depending on scale is adjust the search distance, which defaults to 90cm. Turn that way down :)
you' re very brave but also talk unnecessary and maddler way . not to offend dude .. slowdown and little more clear and you'll be better explaining . by the way thanks for your videos

Right click on the Flight node and click 'Show all connections...'
