Great catch on these rebuilt GE locomotives judging by the widely spaced ditch lights and the red marker lights above the number boards I think the lead locomotive was originally built for Conrail
Nice to see some Dash 8s in fresh paint! The probably hasn't happened in a while. Also, I wasn't expecting the mechanical bell at the crossing... sounds like a WRRS
Nice shot of a few brand new CN boxcars without being tagged yet and the engines looked FINE especially the opening shot of.them comming at you and crossing the gate great job Skyman love watching !
Nice video. It's a real shame the EMDs are being replaced on the NECR, though it is nice to see them acquire some ex CSX/Conrail dash 8s. The same thing happened over on the MNA over in Missouri except they received ex BNSF dash 9s, and 4 ex NS b32-8s for the locals.
Refurbished engines/the blue fra card on the back wall of the operating cab will give the actual manufactured date that they scan in for the routine maintenance required….the refurbished/modernization programs have certainly improved during the biden era….
Did not take them long to repaint those things, did it? While it's unfortunate they're using the G&W paint scheme instead of the gold and blue of the original NECR, it still looks alright on them. Didn't know they'd be replacing some of the EMDs they have, so it'll be a shame to see those go...
@@MillersRailfanI know. I've never been great with change in any capacity, and they've used to EMDs for so long, I've gotten used to seeing them. But the needs of the railroad come before the preferences of other people. Just gotta accept it, no matter how long it may take.

Yes, that lead Dash 8-40CW is definitely ex Conrail!
That dispatcher’s voice sounds great!!!
She is probably great at her job , too!!
My gosh those dash 8s look beautiful in these shots and in those colors thank the short line railroads fur giving them a new lease on life
I remember when these units were brand new and were storming around Conrail like a champ! Great catch, thank You!

Awesome! Sharp looking GE engines 👍 Hope FGAR picks some of these up one day!
Thanks! They sure do sparkle!
Perfect shot both signals with train coming around the curve
Wow!!!
Long train even without auto racks!!!
Nice catch and video.
From what I Have Read there are many more of these coming for the NECR, P+W, Conn Southern, ETC.
Nice video! Great vantage point as it passed over the bridge.
Thanks for the video of my "hometown" RR
Great catch! Love those ex-CSX/Conrail Dash-8s!
Awesome, love to see Ex Conrail power on the move!

Nice to see railroads using those old warriors

Those brand spanking new engines are 🔥
You can say that again

I can listen to that horn all day if I wanted too ❤!
At about what time do they work Palmer? I'm gonna try to make an effort to catch these guys if time allows.
Its too bad the EMD's are being replaced, but in the grand scheme of things, C40-8W's are still pretty cool.
Great video!
Usually I shit on the orange and black paint job but the GE's look nice
they look like ex-conrail units
Nice catches Cory
They were stored in Galveston till G&W bought them
Any snow shots at this location?
Nice video

Change is good
Nothing stays in place nor lasts forever
