Hi Cesar, We would need to know more about your application to give you a decent answer, but in a nutshell, If you can't look from above in an open tank then the only option is to put a PTFE mounting well into the side of the tank and thread a capacitive sensor in it. Hi! Is it possible to differentiate plastic and paper using capacitive sensor? We need to identify if it is plastic or other kind of waste, to be able to put the waste to its proper trash bin.

Hi Vinay, You are going to have trouble sensing clear glass or plastic with a Capacitive sensor. Depending on the sensing distance, an ultrasonic sensor would be a good option. If you are referring to the middle part of the image a@2:47, that is a sensor well. It is designed to be through hole mounted to a liquid tank, and the sensor threads into the sensor well from outside the tank for level detection.
