Video was on point, quick question, is your GPS antenna and 4G antenna working fine in the area you installed them at? What is the 4G antenna anyways? Not like I’m gona install service.. also, if I didn’t have navigation before, do I even need to install that GPS antenna?
Both working fine in that area
The GPS is for the head unit's internal GPS if you want to use it.. personally... since I'll be using Apple Car Play, I'll use Google Maps or Apple Maps for my navigation... but it doesn't hurt to install these antennas anyway

Hi bro, I also got the CCC android unit. Now I used this (CCC android unit)about 6 years. But some times this device will steal power and cause the car's system to display a power leakage. Over time, the system will overheat(CCC android unit), leading to a crash, resulting in the screen becoming unresponsive.
Very helpful video man! Quick question though, after the install, my car only blows hot air to the windshield and back, front vents don’t blow anything and the cold air doesn’t work, any ideas?

On my new harness there is a plug for the idrive . I don't see where it's supposed to plug in nor do I see it on your harness. Please advise if you have this connector. Thanks.

Did u get the aux out wire ? Or it’s In the box . I got bmw 2008 528i . Not sure if the harness is similar . What extra goods I need to buy to get before I buy pemp . Is the audio outwire inside the system ? Or comes along with the new harness
It should all be included in the box
Why did you need to take the lower panels/control unit off? I think you just need to undo the hex screws and swap the screen out. What am I missing?

Hey man, i have quastion about this, i have an bmw 525d 2008 late (ccc) car with aux orginal and sub woofer package, do i need to connect the head unit to the armrest aux out? have seen some people not doing it and get sound ?? i think it will look so bad to run it trough console and back to armrest aux....
You need an aux source, there’s not one under the front armrest?

You can check the settings, I don’t remember if there was an audio level somewhere there

My android auto is only showing up in the center and not completely filling the screen, like two inches on each side are blank and the display is small any tips
Hey man! Great video it really helped me a lot to install mine. I had one problem though and I’m hoping you are able to help. My aux doesn’t work for some reason, the wording on the factory settings is grey and I’m not able to select it. Meanwhile the FM, AM, and CD options are white in which I am able to select
Did AUX ever work before? If not you might need the pemp aux activator

@@cs.studios so I just watched the video for the pemp aux activator, all I would need to do is activate the aux from the screen right? I wouldn’t have to retake out the stereo and all that since I’ve already connected an aux cord through to the little storage box in between the drivers and passenger side.

I’ve never needed the activator so whatever is shown in the activator video is all you should need to do. Wireless carplay works fine so you don’t need usb

I Don’t Have Aux Input for my car , what do I have to do to get the CarPlay audio and calls to work ? It works just no audio when I’m using my CarPlay
Aux is needed otherwise an external amplifier to power the speakers

TH-cam works. Pemp is working on netflix support they gave me an apk.
I have aux infront of the rear seat in the centre :( is there a way i can put a aux inside the armrest? Or somewhere else. I dont want to use the back one as it wont look tidy.
You will have to route it and hide it under carpet

Hi, unfortunately I am not sure. Your best bet would be to contact pemp and see what they say. Alternatively you can disassemble your setup and check to see if the wiring looks just like mine. The screen itself works without idrive but you need a working aux input for audio

The manufacturer says it will only fit 5 series and 6 series not for 3 series e90

It might work. Check your wires to see if they are the same as mine.

Try unplugging lvds and plugging back in

I don’t have a sim card in the head unit, but my wifi and gps antenna are back there and they work fine
My screen recently started saying no signal when I try to go back to the original bmw car info. The issue started after I swapped car batteries and I’m wondering if it’s possible that the fuse that goes up to the screen got blown? ( 4:27) I swapped the fuse where the volume/dvd player is and it still shows a no signal screen.
Try disconnecting the lvds and plug it back in

You can try going into the settings for idrive resolution and try switching it to a different one

I doubt that the head units fits perfectly on the dashboard without cutting the dashboard. How much of the dasboard you've cut?
This is a e60, not a e90. E90 models required cutting dash.
@@cs.studios yes, i know it's a E60. I own one (facelift). I thought cutting dash is a must. Anyway, i bought also (from a different seller) this type of android navigation, and it works great. The only thing which i don't like, is that nothing appears on the screen when i press the climate control buttons. Same thing with the parking sensors button.if i switch to the OEM system, they work fine. Any sugestions?

I built it in my e60 but the oem screen is showing not good. I already changes the factory setting to 8,8 ccc but its still looking not good.
Try the other options and check lvds cable

All I did was restart and change the display type in the android settings.
I have a 2007 m sport 535d but it only has one slot on the cd player. Is this installation the same for my version?
As long as you have an idrive display it should work as far as I know

I would check wiring and settings app. Contact PEMP to see if there’s an update for you

Check wiring to make sure nothing is damaged and maybe contact manufacturer in case yours is defective

Try checking to make sure the cable for climate control is in all the way

E60 will work. Just make sure your idrive system looks similar to mine

I don’t but just like any phone, connect to wifi, open play store, log in to google services, and then search for the apps
When you could not see the bmw screen it said no signal how did you get it to work?
I just disconnected the lvds wire and reconnected it. Also you can go to android settings and change the ccc display type

You need to look for the settings, not the default Android ones but the car one. Check all apps

You need aux because it plays through aux. only other way around is to have an external amp going to the speakers
