Celtics staff made him a confident player. Mazzulla gave him the starting position in 2022 and told him to let it fly! That’s what boosted his confidence. That was one of his main issues, he felt like he wasn’t good enough at times. He’s very had in himself and low key a perfectionist.
Manu was weird tho cuz he truly was an all star and possibly even superstar level according to advanced statics. He just played in the 6man role cuz it made his team nearly unstoppable and he was an extremely unselfish player

I thought Derrick was a good player when he arrived in Boston and he actually struggled early on, but since his early struggle he's been phenomenal and reminds me of Dennis Johnson and what he brought to the game. He's a gritty defender and extremely intelligent player who has made so many clutch plays as a Celtic. I love Holiday but I would have extended White over Holiday. Jrue is older and isn't playing as well as White in my opinion. It's a very difficult decision and I hope they find a way to keep both.

When Celtics first got him I was like ohh no, we got some scrub! 😂 he quickly shut me up!! After the 2022 finals loss where he missed a lot of open 3s. He said “I’m going to work on that during the off season”. He comes back hitting 3s like it’s nothing and quickly turned into one of the most reliable shooters in the league! His 4th quarter 3s to seal the game is just heart breaking for the other team 😂. I saw Mavs fans panic when he got the ball and was open. 😂before he even shot it they knew it was going in! ☘️☘️☘️
getting caught up with the two Js, i dont think people realize and give as much importance and respect what DW has done. since he joined C's and this year along with Jure, he has been phenominal... i feel MVP are all the fourtogether. hope he gets to hug the trophy litlte longer with JT possibly sharing ..lol
