Carbonsnail as much as I enjoy Ms Hitomi you are wrong I grew up in Tokyo and New York but it was when music was music and you are most likely to young to know but to see the Ramones at CBGBS or RUN DMC at the fever or Miles Davis at the blue note or Issac Stern at Lincoln Center all this when I was 13 and 14. What you see here is nothing new EARTH,WIND AND FIRE was doing this before Ms Hitomi was born and if you were to ask her producer Mr Osawa he would tell you they were his greatest influences along with the beautiful rhythms of Brazilian Jazz. The pop music you are hearing now American, European or Asian is just bad music for the masses who have no ear and are driven by a 4-bar beat
WOW!!! the good old days i lived in San Fran or six years even the Cali scene has changed now used to go up and down the coast with friends to see shows my last one was New Order, The Sugar Cubes and P.I.L that was 1989. don't get me wrong the Music in Japan is great overseas it seems the cultures love the old music the states used to make like Jazz Nova from Germany or Quasimode from Japan there is so much great music around the wold i just wish people would stop and listen because Taylor Swift is not cutting it for me i came back to NY last year and saw Monday Michiru at S.O.B.S in manhattan what a powerful voice. Now i'm gonna listen to some Joy Division and I'm going to check out Takanaka's rainbow garden ill try to get it at disk-union tomorrow and come back to japan soon its still incredible here although its hot as hell now but i still love it
She’s so great!! I found a few of her CD’s someone threw out over 15 years ago and I was hooked! Doesn’t matter about the language barrier. Her voice is just another instrument. I don’t speak trumpet but I love the sound. That band of hers is off the hook!!

birdのライブ映像を観るとガッカリの方が多かったけど、こいつは素直にカッコいい。バックもアレンジもクール。birdはこういうスタイルが一番本人の声もキャラも合ってると思うんだけどなあ。mondo grossoからセルフプロデュースになってから感じが変わって以来聴いてない。
