@@russe19642 so the supporters would fly over and fill the stadium. 20K people have flown over. Would be embarrassing if they went there and put on a game in front of an empty stadium. It would kill the US experiment dead in its tracks.

to be honest the capacity of most league stadiums is 20,000 you don;t need 40,000 to make a atmosphere
NFL and NHL can't be play the same way without pads. NHL without pads would be like figure skating with sticks.
