After an exhausting day at work, there's nothing more relaxing than laying in bed and listening to beach house. I am starting to believe their music is magical healing soundwaves to the soul, spirit and mind.
They did an interview about a month before releasing Chapter 1, in which Victoria said she had returned to nature for solace during quarantine...... this beautiful song makes me feel like this is what she meant.
@@charliez077 -I checked our Cocteu Twins and they just aren't as similar as everyone makes them out to be. The woman from Cocteu twins has a much higher voice and it's just not on the same level as BH if you ask me. They're still really awesome from what I've heard, but at the end of the day that's jmo.
I’m here in bed listening to this on repeat and came across your comment thinking you were being sarcastic lol. I thought this song was only 3 minutes max, it’s pure enjoyment.
@@jaredfretwell No I wasn’t being sarcastic. It progresses so smoothly over 7 mins you’re ending up feeling where did the time go? And you listen to it again. Repeat. To me, time feels shorter with this track for some reasons. I guess that’s the “beach house magic”.
The flood of memories that washed over me hearing this - my ex and I walking away from each other the last time, the news of my best friend’s death two years ago, and positive memories like earning my driver’s license, getting married, and promoted to the job I currently have. Powerful powerful music and song to evoke so many distinct emotions and memories.
Lol.. Everyone can't take these. One has to have something special, like a power of extremely fantasizing imagination to listen & feel this kinda music.
There are so many stories of near-death experiences in Japan where people say they saw a field of flowers. For me, as a Japanese person, this song seems to be about the beautiful vision that people have when they die. Anyway, this song is amazing and my favorite of all the songs until chapter 2. And in a few hours, the third chapter will be released...
That's beautiful. There's a really ethereal and heavenly atmosphere on this track that always makes me think about death, but not in a depressing way if that makes sense
If I get to see a glimpse of eternity I’m a lucky man after my share of death and i would think this life is well lived with agape archived. My infinite gratitude for being chosen by love and my infinite present moments. Will a man become the man? To here knows when heaven is.
I just listened to Lonely Gimmick and I really don’t know where or why you’d recommend? If anything Strawberry Guy is a has a stronger resemblance to Beach House. He’s the Dude version of Beach House
To be just a wittle tad dramatic: This song made me believe that there's good in the world again. Such a heavenly track, very reminiscent of Depression Cherry, my first Beach House album, almost like a daughter to "Days of Candy". "Lilac, lily, anemonе In poses Soft, frail and blue, the violets too And roses" That's just ever so pretty. This song makes me feel warm and safe and optimistic in a time where that's become quite rare. I can't say it enough, thank you Alex and Victoria. I'll listen to this over and over again. -V. 💜
I feel exactly as you do! Though me literally had me in tears haha 😅. You can just feel this music, resonate through your entire being, and this song gives me that same effect, along with New Romance! Beach House is out here, helping so many though these days ❤️
hearing this song live as their closing song was such a magical experience that i now feel every time i listen to this song. everyone in the crowd was swaying together, totally hypnotized by the magic being created in front of us. everything felt so connected and one, it was beautiful. ❤️
Do you eat ethereal flowers or what? So splendid this 8th. track from the album and so loveable the crystallized vocalization as well as the luminously melody! J'aime!
Been a fan for several years. Seeing them in concert, live and in person, felt so surreal! And this song, in particular. I shall cherish it and hope to see them again soon!
To me its hard to beat the music they produced in Teen Dream or Bloom. Walk in the park, Silver Soul, Irene, 10 Mile Stereo, etc. but this is really amazing. It brings out a lot of emotions thinking back to my early college days playing bloom on a Sunday morning a bit hungover with my roomate/best friend from freshman year who used to joke and say the music was too depressing for him. He died in 2017, and I cry every time i listen to this music thinking bad on that morning and being in that memory, much like I am now listening to this song. Between loss and listening to bloom for the first time after a breakup with the first girl I fell in love with, Beach House will forever be my favorite all time band.
Most “Beach House vibes” on this one from there new album so far, I think. Love the dreamy synthwave atmosphere in the end / 3 min. But can't stop imagine if the "All The Little Angels" and "One By One They Open" part was in this part also. Thank you Beach House for this journey♥️
I've gone though my mind multiple times of which song out of these two chapters are my favorite, from Superstar, to Through Me to New Romance, but I think this one is my favorite! For everything it captures so Brilliantly! From the lyrics and meaning to the feeling it gives me throughout my entire body, especially my head! So many chills resonating all around. Beach House, thank you for creating this kind of music and sound, it's helping me and I know, so many others right now, Through the days ahead. We are all Superstars, through you, through me, Searching for answers through new romances of life...We Will Find The Light, find healing, find Love... Over and Over ❤️
This song makes me cry just by it self, but now it makes me remember two years ago beeing in my cozy little studio listening to this song on repeat with my cat, so much time to spend with her back then. She passed away that same year after 13 years of sweetness in our lives and that cozy little studio is no more in my house. I keep myself from listening to this album too much, because I remember those special moments so vividly so I save this album to feel them. Also because I run dry in tears.

In my book, " Flowers From Heaven" the two angels are named Violet and Rose. I mention Beach House numerous times in the book but hadn't yet heard this song when I wrote it..
Some of you Tame Impala fans (Me) are in love with this song. (VERY) The electric guitar sounds very reminiscent of Kevin's "Disciples" off of "Currents." The obvious analog poly synth sound, with the heavenly choral pad in the far left and right. Lighter sounding either brass or softly distorted lead synths coming in at the apex of the bridge. It just screams "The Slow Rush" with the length and repetition towards the back half of the song. Beautifully mixed vocals that seem to almost, lead, behind the pounding sound of the rest of the mix. Astonishing work and undoubtedly my favorite off of "Once Twice Melody."
This song isn't a value pack item. It weaves everything together and gives you space to feel it all at once: joyous love, the heartrending pain that comes with it, and awe at the great mystery. The craziness of this pandemic and the burning garbage fire that is my country have made me see things I didn't before. Now I stop whenever I'm at the lake and I gaze at the lights: glittering stars, lampposts, headlights, apartment complexes, cyclists, and the moon. I never can articulate how I feel then. Every word that comes to mind is like a sigh or a puff of smoke. My existential dread becomes something entirely new even as it stays the same, like viewing it through another dimension. I can see everything before me and appreciate the beauty of it even when it hurts, even when it scares me. I rode my bike into the country around another lake this past summer. I felt immensely honored to witness life and never felt more like a know nothing schmuck. I love the imagery and the sounds. I love the words and the sounds of the words and how they're used. I fucking love how "anemone" fits right in and the added layer of meaning it lends to the song. I could really gaze at the night sky forever. To anyone reading this: Beach House pairs very well with Ursula K. Le Guin's Hainish cycle and long bike rides. Thank you again, Beach House.
