I feel like I'll learn more from this video than I've learned in the entire year and a half of a level maths. Well at least it's more than just watching a teacher solve problems on the board and explaining them as if she's talking herself through them and learning absolutely nothing. Darn I used to love maths so much, that's the difference a teacher can make. Thank you very much for this
I have spent many years teaching A- level Maths and Further Maths. In many respects the modern books are rubbish. In the rush to publication there are many mistakes, the explanations are over-simplified and the scope of the questions is somewhat limited. Students learn maths by doing it, so a fair proportion of my students' class time is spent with them doing questions, while I metaphorically put my feet up!
I hated A-Level maths and now I've come back to maths in my 30s and I'm like, "Yeah, I can revise all of A-Level maths in one evening, what ever was the problem?" I mean, no topology? Scandalous! I sympathize 'cause I had to learn on my own and that Bostock and Chandler, well, it's a great book if you know all the material already, but awful for intuitive explanations, which you need if you have a poor teacher or you're working on your own, like I was :/.
Yeah same, I used to love maths before A level and was found it super easy (got grade 9 in gcse) so I chose to do further maths at a level but them 2 years killed maths for me. Didn't really like the teacher and had same pure and core teacher both years

revise Anti de sitter space and its holographic relationship by Maldecena's AdS/CFT correspondence. You should also do some linear combinations and superposition of entangled states, plus the principle of least action by Lagrangian to derive quantum electrodynamics equations.
I'm almost done with a level but I'm envious of future generations who will be able to watch the physics and chemistry etc versions of this video. Excellent Job! 1+sub though to fellow students i do recommend going into more detail for the important/doubtful topics just as a good measure; they say it in the description too.
at 53:50 is where sketching quadratics takes place, and for anybody who doesn't know how to differentiate yet, all you need to do is times each number by it's indice, and then reduce the indice by one. It's covered later, but this gives you the gradiant equasion for polynomial.
Hi there, I think you may have made a mistake in your expansion of 2 x (x+1)^2 under the Parametric Equations chapter at 01:39:15 , I think you wrote down 2x^2 +4x + 4 when it should be 2x^2 + 4x + 2, just wanted to make sure that I also had not made a mistake and it is the only one I have spotted so far :)
Is there another mistake at 01:40:27 with the rearranging. They minus one from both sides but the +4 turns into a minus 3. Even if it was +2, it still shouldn't be minus 3, right?
Learning something, Maths or otherwise, is much easier when the how is explained well and in simple terms along when given ways of remembering formulas/ae. I found this many years ago when coaching someone for their Maths O level and devised a way of helping them with tangent, sine and cosine. Just basic stuff as I'd only got to O level myself a couple of years or so before.
just took a year out before going to uni, and i was really anxious that my maths had fallen behind a lot. this video was really thorough whilst still being concise and now doing a few past papers before i leave wont feel so daunting :) i found A level pretty hard but this made everything a lot clearer, thank you
It's crazy to think that these kinds of videos exist on TH-cam which is also home to Jake Paul and Lele Pons. I keep coming across new math and science stuff, and I'm really loving it. Keep up the outstanding work Primrose Kitten!
You have my thanks o blessed giver of knowledge, I drink at your fountain and feel true relief and thankfulness to my fellow human, you truly are a fresh breath in a stale internet world
Correct me if I’m wrong but in factor quadratics when the discriminant is being explained; the first example is (-2)^2-(4*1*-24)=52 would be wrong should it not be =4-(-96)=100 Edit; my bad I should’ve waited a second longer.
Thank you this is really helpful to revise, even as a uni student, as we tend to forget some maths skills during every summer holiday for some reason :D

I have a test tomorrow on the whole of pure, I'm going to try and work through this video before the exam, thank you!
This is brilliant, thank you so much! I know I’ll be watching this many times!!
Seriously it’s 4 hours
@@jayakbar1115 doubt ppl watch the 4 hours like that, most likely skip to the sections they need to go over.
Don Primrose Kitten saving my grades since ‘17
I’m here with you until the end!!!
watching this the morning of my exam...
This was super helpful, thank you so so so much!! Crossing my fingers for an A-Level physics one next!!
revise Anti de sitter space and its holographic relationship by Maldecena's AdS/CFT correspondence. You should also do some linear combinations and superposition of entangled states, plus the principle of least action by Lagrangian to derive quantum electrodynamics equations.

I LOVE YOU. You have no idea how grateful i am you exist
Thank you so much for this ! Is there any chance you’ll make ones for other sections of the course like mechanics and statistics?

Kinda wish I had taken maths, solely so I could rely on you and this video to help me get a decent grade
I thought A level was harder
Ur logical explanations make it look much easier 😅
I’m sorry but where were you 2 years ago, I would have died from happiness if I had this resource 😭😭
this came up on my recommended but i am not complaining, thank you yt algorithm and you for making this video lol, so far has been really good!
😁
woww thank you so much for this so comphrensive
absolute legend!!
☺️
I hate home schooling as i have no support. I definitely do appreciate videos like this. It teaches me alot. Thank u
I'm almost done with a level but I'm envious of future generations who will be able to watch the physics and chemistry etc versions of this video. Excellent Job! 1+sub
though to fellow students i do recommend going into more detail for the important/doubtful topics just as a good measure; they say it in the description too.
the way that you and you alone saved my gcses and now are saving my a levels tysm
Can you do one for the statistics and mechanics as well please?
Please visit my channel for Mechanics and probability past questions
at 53:50 is where sketching quadratics takes place, and for anybody who doesn't know how to differentiate yet, all you need to do is times each number by it's indice, and then reduce the indice by one. It's covered later, but this gives you the gradiant equasion for polynomial.
This video is a hidden gem. Could you do a mechanics and stats one too please?
My son is loving this, he keeps pausing the video to do the questions then checking it. He’s 11 y6 junior school xx thanks
That's great!
Yep 2 instead of 4 is right! YOU MUST BE A GENIUS!
I spotted that too, good to know I wasn't the only one
Is there another mistake at 01:40:27 with the rearranging. They minus one from both sides but the +4 turns into a minus 3. Even if it was +2, it still shouldn't be minus 3, right?
@@justfornow3575 ye i just saw that right now lol
Omg i used to watch you for gcse science. I have my a level maths assessment tomorrow and i feel so under prepared. Thank u for this
You don't need to wear a cape to be a hero
I FINISHED IT!!!!
Took me so damn long lmao.
Can I just say, that this video is phenomenal
🎉🎉🎉
watching this the hour before my exam…. will update on results day ig..
Update?
Learning something, Maths or otherwise, is much easier when the how is explained well and in simple terms along when given ways of remembering formulas/ae. I found this many years ago when coaching someone for their Maths O level and devised a way of helping them with tangent, sine and cosine. Just basic stuff as I'd only got to O level myself a couple of years or so before.
I haven’t even done my GCSE’s yet but I still really understand this! You make it easily understandable
@@flohorton3017 i was wondering what subjects are you taking for gcse btw im in year 10

My p2 is exam is tomorrow, good luck to whoever is sitting it as well!
Holy ship, she does a level maths aswell. She is amazing !
19:40 -_- u can take out 3. The quadratic expression can be simplified.
Or just sub it into your calculator making simplifying it a waste of time
its a level not gcse, who cares
I'm practicing this 5 years early so I'm quite prepared, thanks for the help😌

just took a year out before going to uni, and i was really anxious that my maths had fallen behind a lot. this video was really thorough whilst still being concise and now doing a few past papers before i leave wont feel so daunting :) i found A level pretty hard but this made everything a lot clearer, thank you
Aw wow that's so lovely! Well done you on getting back up to speed too
@@Primrose_Kitten :)) thank you
I wish I had this when I was a kiddo. I might have gotten more than a C. Lovely video, made me feel like a kid again.
It's crazy to think that these kinds of videos exist on TH-cam which is also home to Jake Paul and Lele Pons. I keep coming across new math and science stuff, and I'm really loving it. Keep up the outstanding work Primrose Kitten!
thanks for this one.Could u also do one for alevel biology and chemistry please would be really helpful for year 1
Working on them!
Thank you so much for your hard work , my journey through gcses and A levels
Wow you're amazing!
You're doing A-Level Bio and Chem as a 5/6 year old!

Is this helpful with A level maths? Ik it sounds stupid but im about to start and want to have a base bit of knowledge
Have watched two times already, amazing work on that video. Congratulations to people like you who help keep education free for everyone!
Are you planning to do another video for mechanics and statistics in the near future? Would appreciate it lol
someone get this man a medal
This video is super super helpful thank you so much for making this - would it be possible that you could do one for Stats and mechanics as well!

if they could also cancel next year that'd be quite handy ngl :P
lmao im still wondering if the exemptions will be given in the exams but i still havent lost hope for exams being cancelled
Can I apply to uni if im late. Anyone that can help me?
I don’t know what you should do. Try emailing your teachers.
this video made everything look so easy
Correct me if I’m wrong but in factor quadratics when the discriminant is being explained; the first example is (-2)^2-(4*1*-24)=52 would be wrong should it not be =4-(-96)=100
Edit; my bad I should’ve waited a second longer.
This is definitely the first time I have ever seen a 4 hour video. Well done
Hope you enjoyed it!
Thank you this is really helpful to revise, even as a uni student, as we tend to forget some maths skills during every summer holiday for some reason :D
