However, Akashi developed his Emperor's Eye later and subsequently became so overpowering his Emperor Eye could observe people's movements, breathing, muscle movement or contractions so intricately and to the point he could literally see a glimpse of the future. Yes, Aomine, grew up learning an unorthodox, confusing style of streetball. But to move his arms he would have to contract it a certain way, same with his legs and Akashi could literally spot that and predict his movements. In fact if you read Extra Game, you'll find Akashi had to tank it instead of Aomine because Aomine and the rest weren't strong enough to beat Nash.

Kagami couldn't keep up with Aomine at all, but he somehow ends up beating Aomine. Even with the Zone, Aomine wasn't supposed to be beaten. Also Kagami clearly said: Aomine's better than the people het met in America. Now in the manga #spoiler: The GoM is playing vs Jabberwock (streetballers and the GoM getting dumpstert). Aomine can't even 1v1 the people in America right now, despite having the most speed and skill in the world (he was supposed to be the fastest/most skilled one of the GoM, that's why he became the ace). They nerfed Aomine, because if they didn't, Aomine would shit on Jabberwock and the others from GoM would be like: tefk Aomine, damn, those street ball skills and Aomine would dribble past Jabberwock. None of that matters against Akashi's EE, Aomine's "Unpredictability" is only against most predictions, which are usually based around conventional basketball logic, which Aomine's style doesn't adhere to. Akashi's EE, on the other hand, doesn't work like most predictions, whereas most prediction only follow logic, his follows evidence. When Akashi predicts someone, he's essentially building a thesis based on their actions to determine EXACTLY what they will do, not what they MIGHT do. Nash's passes in LG/Extra Game were literally impossible for almost everyone to react to (More so than Aomine's style), except for Akashi's EE. If Akashi and Aomine did a 1-on-1, I'd give the win to Akashi every single time if it were time based. (If it were based on scoring, then I'd give Aomine a chance) Aomine might get by Akashi if he keeps the ball high and out of Akashi's reach, but once he lowers it, it's gone (not to mention Aomine would NOT be able to stop Akashi on defense). Just to be clear, I actually think Aomine is a better player overall, but Akashi has him beat in skill.

He just average player who could only depends on emperor eye. He could only predict movement, but couldn’t react so fast(remember Murasakibara explanation when Akashi stole ball from Midorima). Aomine could react so fast to protect the ball, although Akashi predict his movement. I mean, Akashi couldn’t keep pace with him. Akashi know that he has limit. Example, When Akashi was trying to stop Kagami’s meteor jam, he knew that he couldn’t steal the ball from him because kagami was too fast, so all he could do just to make Kagami’s shoot to miss. Aomine is more faster than kagami. So if Akashi couldn’t keep up with Kagami’s speed, how about vs Aomine then? Haha. Akashi has weakness in term of skill, but Aomine doesn’t. Aomine’s problem is only Zone’s time limit, but he just need to gain more endurance by training, so his zone’s time limit could last longer. The conclusion is...if it’s Touou vs Rakuzan, maybe Rakuzan would win. But when it comes to 1 on 1, Aomine is the strongest. HIS STYLE OF PLAY ISN’T DESIGNED TO RELY ON TEAMMATES. So in that statement a basic 1 on 1 with no Zone Aomine would still win. Akashi even with his ankle break you couldn't use it on Aomine reason being is that Aomine speed and overall streetball playstyle already uses crossovers and maneuvers that throw you off your balance so it would not work. If Akashi uses Emperor Eye he can predict some movements but Aomine has super adaptation to a game meaning that once he gets use to that skill he will eventually get around it. Example the Vanishing Drive and the Ignite Pass V2 by Kuroko he seen it and already destroyed it he can do the same for the Emperor Eye. Zone on Zone fight if they enter at the same time the play out will be the same just it will be them moving even faster but doing the same moves ultimately.
Aomine is my favorite - probably also the producer’s favorite, hence even though he made Akashi look like he was the leader and probably the best, we never had a scene where Akashi dropped Aomine in a one on one. Akashi dropped everyone, but Aomine.

Akashi stops Nash Gold Jr's passes, which are otherwise impossible to react to. Aomine's formless shots are a great weapon, but EE is easily the most OP power in the entire series.
Yeah, I know what "Formless" means. Aomine's style goes against any sort of conventional basketball logic, his instincts have nothing to do with it.
None of that matters against Akashi's EE, Aomine's "Unpredictability" is only against most predictions, which are usually based around conventional basketball logic, which Aomine's style doesn't adhere to. Akashi's EE, on the other hand, doesn't work like most predictions, whereas most prediction only follow logic, his follows evidence. When Akashi predicts someone, he's essentially building a thesis based on their actions to determine EXACTLY what they will do, not what they MIGHT do. Nash's passes in LG/Extra Game were literally impossible for almost everyone to react to (More so than Aomine's style), except for Akashi's EE.
If Akashi and Aomine did a 1-on-1, I'd give the win to Akashi every single time if it were time based. (If it were based on scoring, then I'd give Aomine a chance) Aomine might get by Akashi if he keeps the ball high and out of Akashi's reach, but once he lowers it, it's gone (not to mention Aomine would NOT be able to stop Akashi on defense).
Just to be clear, I actually think Aomine is a better player overall, but Akashi has him beat in skill.
They call him “ACE” for a reason. Akashi needs zone to beat all 5 players, while Aomine doesn't need it. C'mon, Even Kuroko could steal the ball from Akashi in the zone. do u ever expect Kuroko to steal ball from Aomine? Never! When Akashi is cornered or at least when he’s in position that was not been able to shoot, he still needs his teammate’s help to score like he did vs Shutoku ( he passed the ball to Nebuya with his elbow). And when Akashi decided to play alone by himself, he lost to Kuroko’s quasi emperor eye. Lol. Aomine has abilty and speed, his play is unpredictable, he could do formless shoot too, so he could score from every angle with only one hand. Akashi doesn’t have great strenght like Murasakibara, Agilty and speed like Aomine, shooting accuracy like Midorima, and Techique like Kise. He just average player who could only depends on emperor eye. He could only predict movement, but couldn’t react so fast(remember Murasakibara explanation when Akashi stole ball from Midorima). Aomine could react so fast to protect the ball, although Akashi predict his movement. I mean, Akashi couldn’t keep pace with him. Akashi know that he has limit. Example, When Akashi was trying to stop Kagami’s meteor jam, he knew that he couldn’t steal the ball from him because kagami was too fast, so all he could do just to make Kagami’s shoot to miss. Aomine is more faster than kagami. So if Akashi couldn’t keep up with Kagami’s speed, how about vs Aomine then? Haha. Akashi has weakness in term of skill, but Aomine doesn’t. Aomine’s problem is only Zone’s time limit, but he just need to gain more endurance by training, so his zone’s time limit could last longer.
The conclusion is...if it’s Touou vs Rakuzan, maybe Rakuzan would win. But when it comes to 1 on 1, Aomine is the strongest. HIS STYLE OF PLAY ISN’T DESIGNED TO RELY ON TEAMMATES. And the last thing u need to remember, Aomine hasn’t even been training for a long time. Lol

Bryan Hellouin Even then i seriously doubt Akashi could beat him, Murasakibara already admitted that the Real Akashi could not win against Aomine. So in that statement a basic 1 on 1 with no Zone Aomine would still win. Akashi even with his ankle break you couldn't use it on Aomine reason being is that Aomine speed and overall streetball playstyle already uses crossovers and maneuvers that throw you off your balance so it would not work. If Akashi uses Emperor Eye he can predict some movements but Aomine has super adaptation to a game meaning that once he gets use to that skill he will eventually get around it. Example the Vanishing Drive and the Ignite Pass V2 by Kuroko he seen it and already destroyed it he can do the same for the Emperor Eye. Zone on Zone fight if they enter at the same time the play out will be the same just it will be them moving even faster but doing the same moves ultimately.
Aomine is my favorite - probably also the producer’s favorite, hence even though he made Akashi look like he was the leader and probably the best, we never had a scene where Akashi dropped Aomine in a one on one. Akashi dropped everyone, but Aomine.
