Ok to be honest I’m probably one of those weird people, I’m an artist and I hate planes so I bring a sketchbook on to keep me calm, I sat next to a lady and a business guy (I was in the middle) on my flight and I think I weirded both of them out because I was drawing a anemic, old, naked hagraven for the whole flight, I probably should have told them I draw creepy shit... but I didn’t say a word to either...

I hope we get more stories of podcast members experiencing Resident Evil in real life while visiting foreign countries.
I went to Romania last month for my first trip to Europe. I picked there because out of all of Europe, there was one person who knew me and they lived in Bucharest.
My first impression, looking at the streets of Bucharest was the same as Avery's. Ancient goat trails. The next thing I noticed was graffiti. After that, I found that the street signs were all useless for drivers because they were tucked away from the street corners. Literally they were only useful for pedestrians.
I rented a car and drove up to Braşov one day and I forgot to bring my charger with me. Naturally, my phone died before I got back to my hotel in Bucharest. I have always had a good sense of direction, but here I was trying to navigate through a city with an absurd layout for its roads, street signs that aren't visible from the road, and the ones that are visible are in a language that I don't understand.
From where my phone died, it should have taken me 15 minutes to get back to the hotel, it took me about 40. Not a tremendous delay, but definitely stressful.
The next day I went to the Black Sea in Mamaia, and the day after that I went to drive on the Transfăgărăşan Highway.

So I've purposefully avoided watching The Predator because I'd heard about it a bit, but my fiancee watched it and I showed her the bit of Avery just describing what happened his situation with watching that movie on the plane, and my fiancee basically just curled up and said "yeah that's exactly right". I think it just does that to people. Maybe it was made as an affront to humanity.
