Covid did take a toll on his potency when singing live, no raspiness, sometimes no growls.
I love his work to death and I will always admire how he continues singing like this, considering he is asthmatic and Covid probably exhausted much of his respiratory system. He is an amazing musician.

Jonathan has been asked how come he doesn´t use the scatting on every album since it´s kind of his signature. He said that he doesn´t want to overuse it otherwise people would get sick of it. Same with the bagpipes, he tries to not overuse them either. I think I agree with him on that note since it´s always a treat when he uses the scatting and/or plays the bagpipes and I think it has to do with him not using the bagpipes/scatting on every record.

Korn is a band that, in my opinion, has aged gracefully.
Not all of their songs hit the mark (they've even stated their regret about that... problematic Fred Durst collab), but they're willing to experiment and push their sound... And their lyrics hit as hard as ever.

korn did a lot to change rock music and they don't get enough credit for it, Nirvina popularized drop d tuning, Korn took that to its extreme.

The middle easterners reminds of the Queen of the Damned OST ( which was really good when Davis would play it at Alone I play ...... Not the album the album covered by other bands was .... Almost as bad as the movie to ne kind )

You should check the album "Always.." first album of the band "The Gathering" from 1992, it's a death/doom metal masterpiece that unfortunately did not been recognized at the time and the band had to change course kinda lost their originality and eventually became lame mainstream. 1st & 4th tracks are very recomended to start but for me and many others its an album that must be listen from the beginning to the end.

Unfortunately they don’t have the original bassist (fieldy) currently because he’s going on a break so we don’t get to hear his signature sound, the current bassist for now is the one from suicidal tendencies

Fieldy is on this record (they finished recording in April last year and he went on a break in June ) but it is true that we don´t get to hear him live, at least for now. I have high hopes that he will be back in the band sooner rather than later. He hasn´t been gone for a year and I think the band will at least offer him what they offered Head when i wanted to leave and that was playing on the records but he doesn´t have to be on tour with them or do any promotional stuff. Of course Head declined at the time but he came back nearly 8 years after he left. 😄

Please give more attention to actual good bands Geebz! It's been quite a while since we've had a Deftones review for example.
