    Definitely the best one on TH-cam when it comes to accomodation at Loughborough! Just wanted to let you know that I guess you missed out on John Phillips. I'll be joining as a postgraduate student, so John Phillips is in my priority list. But nonetheless, you covered other postgrad halls. Good one mate!

      @jamiepaulclark 2 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Hi mate, thanks for the comment is much appreciated. Yes the only reason I didnt include John Phillips separately was firstly because my primary emphasis in this video was on covering all of the undergraduate accommodations rather than postgraduate (Falk Egg and Harry French fall under both postgraduate and undergraduate which is why these two were covered). If I come across any postgraduates from John Phillips I can feedback any info (has been restricted this year due to Covid restrictions).
      It is worth noting that John Phillips shares a lot of similarity in terms of location and set up to Hazlerigg-Rutland (the halls are next to each other and share certain facilities such as the common room and have an almost identical room set-up) so there is a lot of overlap between those two halls, the only main difference is the fact that John Phillips is made up of Postgraduate students only and the price difference for the accomodation package - at John Phillips for 2021/2022 it was £7,704.69 for an En-suite 4ft bed offered on a 50 week let.
      ^ So I would recommend referring to the Hazlerigg-Rutland section of the video as the information for John Phillips is almost identical! Hope this answer helps :)

      Hi, thank you very much for the comment and apologies for such a delay! - Didn’t want to let you down as knew you were waiting for the video ahead of picking your accommodation!- One of the halls was taking a lot longer than was originally agreed to get back to me hence the very delayed release date which was both slightly frustrating for me and you 😂. Hopefully this video still provides a useful insight into the hall you will be staying at :)

    It's not mentioned on the website.

      Hi, I believe the bed dimensions for the standard room are 6' long x 3' wide x 6" thick.
      To double check, I would recommend getting in touch with the student accommodation centre: www.lboro.ac.uk/services/accommodation/

    Quick question bro, what exactly is the difference between en-suite and shared en-suite?

    • @jamiepaulclark
      @jamiepaulclark 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi bro, hope you've been well.
      En-suite = the en-suite/bathroom is only yours and not shared with anyone else.
      Shared en-suite = the bathroom/en-suite is shared with one other student only of the same sex.

    Hey there, do you know how the payment for the accommodation works? Do we have to pay via direct debit per week or pay into an account whenever we want and the payment gets taken out from there? Thanks!

    • @jamiepaulclark
      @jamiepaulclark 10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Hi, at Loughborough tuition and accommodation fees are paid in three instalments over the academic year in October, January and May.
      The account details for the amount to be paid into, alongside the amount due at each instalment, will be sent across to your student email in advance of the deadline.
      Hope this helps, if you have any other questions feel free to ask. All the best!

      Hi! Hope you've been well.
      If you are after a quiet accommodation option I would recommend getting in touch with the university student accommodation centre who can advise you on and assist you in securing a quiet room if you are set to be in an accommodation that is louder, or alternatively they will advise you which accommodations are typically quieter.
