I can confirm 2/8/2023, this method still worked on my ps4. This is the last component for my legendary armor. Thank u so much🙌.. ur method is legendary 😅🤣🤣 Just do: - setting difficult to very hard - progress time to night - quick save - go to location - you meet the apex - replace difficult from very hard to story. - kill the apex.. as simple as that. 😁😅

Even if you manual save right before going at an apex, if you fail and get killed, even reloading the save won’t give you an apex again. Easily the most frustrating part of the game. Trying to spawn apex Tremortusks was the bane of my existence for a while. It wouldn’t be a big deal until you need 5 or 6 hearts across outfit and weapon upgrades.
I spent two days trying and it just wouldn't appear but someone on Reddit said make it night time save reload game and wow hy moly first Apex killed right away by hunters which aggravates me but I went to shelter just south on the edge ran back it was the apex again a my o my was it pissed I downed it got the heart before reddit it never spawned y but did what they said got it
My game REFUSES to give me an apex slaughterspine heart. I've hunted ALL night like 5 times because I read that you get hearts better at night.🙄 So annoying.
Omg! Did I really read a comment for a brat who thinks playing a game on hard mode means he has a life 😂😂😂 If you had half a brain you'd know only a brain dead would FARM at Hard Mode. You sure are going to live 200 years.
Thanks, should of realized, higher difficulty increases spawn rate chance 🫤 once i did what you said, after quiting and reloading then fast travel, the apex was there...

Just do:
- setting difficult to very hard
- progress time to night
- quick save
- go to location
- you meet the apex
