Hi Colin, very busy, I see. Nice demo of diy ethernet cables, and I love those little plugs you put on the end of the wires, making it all very neat. All the best. John
@Chris-BognorRegis Hi Chris hope I didn't boggle you to much. Are you going to the International n gauge weekend after next. Do hope you and your wife and the dog are good. Colin
Greetings Woodthorp International and hello Colin 👋 That is hopeful news on your sister 🤞 fingers crossed that the physio can do their magic 😇 Excellent tips on wiring too 👍 we all end up wit dodgy knee's 🦵 in this hobby 😳 Very best wishes from the Emerald Isle ☘️
Hi Colin - must have been frustrating when the issue arose with the helix - main thing is you've got it sorted. Good to see progress on the layout. Cheers Euan
@thegrowler-blackwoodngauge Hi Euan it was a bit frustrating after all the testing. I can't have one bit of track not to work were it's hard to get to, but it's good to find it now. Colin
Hi Colin! That's a great solution using the magnets! It's always good to be able to make the wiring easily accessible, as none of us are getting any younger! I'm also looking into trying to make it easy to get to wires and things like servo decoders so I can reprogram them! I'm currently thinking of using Velcro to hold small wooden boards, but those magnets may be a better solution! Can you share what type they are, and where you got them please? Good news that your sister is now in rehabilitation! Those guys can work wonders! All the best, Ian, P.S. Forgot to say that your bag or servo cables arrived! Thank you! :)

@@collinsngauge5493 - Hi Colin! I replied to this the other day to say thanks for the link - but it doesn't appear to have stuck! Definitely enjoying the hobby at the moment, glad you are too! Not sure what else I need at the moment! Just drop me an email with how and what to pay you for what you've already sent! :)
With wiring like this, the mostly white wire is the predominant. The one mostly colour with a fleck of white is the second of the pair. Difference between T568-A and B is that one scheme is conventional and the other has what's known as a network twist.
