I'm a primary dps player (Tracer/Pharah) but I also flex on tank and support, and 6v6 has my heart and my mind. I see the logic of trying out 5v5 and rolling with it for a year to see if it is workable, but we're almost 2 years into it and have had to drop some of the biggest changes in OW history just to make this format work, and the tank experience still isn't good. And in my humble opinion, when the tank experience isn't good, the other roles suffer too indirectly.
Think about it, the frontline is what anchors a team, and anything that affects the frontline, ripples through to everyone else one way or another. So when the frontline are the most miserable players, what does that entail for the team as a whole? Nothing good. It means team cohesion drops, counterswap is strong, flavor of month has a lot more to say in terms of hard shutting down other heroes and comps..
Sincerely a primary dps player who has been advocating 6v6 since OW2 released, before it was a trend, back then were you'd actually get shit for even mentioning how 5v5 introduced whole new problems no one had considered yet.
