This warm up was litterally perfect for my range. I have a few lower notes then what was there but overall its a really helpful warm up. Ive been singing for 5 years (im 15) and im always looking to improve. Thank you.
This video and your longer mixed voice video have helped me more than any other video or coach I’ve found online. Thank you. I’m hitting songs that I’ve never been able to sing before
Oh This was so helpful! I am a baritone/tenor and the second to last and lastexercise in this training was really helpful.. I failed to get the last 2 ranges i note last one (because i dod not want to strain!) but could definitely feel the use of head voice managing the higher points in the scales!
Wow its so so nice if youre working on a certsin exercise videos over time, thhen checking for another one and its so much fun too! Yoire videos really help a lot not to loose motivation to routine!!
Coming at this as a classically trained singer and belter trying to find a 40s jazz singer voice for a show. Question: why, at times does my voice crack on some of these exercises?
Dear Ian, I found your vocal exercises is really good. I am mezzo soprano range if you could send my voice type range exercise links or recording to me I’d be very grateful. Thank you!
what makes these hard for me is i tend to lean towards using my headvoice whenever my voice cracks. how can i avoid using my headvoice to engage my mixed more? also i dont really know if i discovered my mixed yet
Easy! Don’t try to sing the exercises, just use your speaking voice and replace any of these exercises with mum. Do it at the lowest volume possible and master getting through it without cracking before increasing it. When say “uhh” your larynx won’t shoot up and cause tension/breaking. Put your voice box when you say “uhh” and say “I”, then say “uhh” and you will feel what I am referring to. This exercise will train you to keep a neutral larynx at all times. That and proper diaphragmatic breathing will solve your problem.
The notes don't feel out of range but my throat hurts a bit after finishing the exercises. My larynx is low so what else could the problem be? Also want to know if hearing the break through these exercises is expected for a beginner or is my technique wrong?
Hearing a break is completely normal you just have to practice going up and down the scale SLOWLY AND QUIETLY to let ur voice figure it what it has to do to transition properly

Update: I've been doing these exercises every day for a week now, as well as some other exercises and I already see an improvement in my bridging. I crack very little to not at all now! Something that helped me, is doing these exercises quietly as if I'm on public transit or in a library. It's actually easier to mix my chest into my head voice and vice-versa. I guess as I continue to do these, I'll strengthen my mix and hopefully (im guessing) the power and volume will come along naturally.

Think my voice got tired, last 2 exercises were hard, and can you tell me which range is this one?
If your voice got tired then you're not doing the right way. Your voice should feel ease and powerful not tired
Could you maybe check out my singing videos and give me feedback on what I should improve? And how I could deepen my voice and give it a rich tone?

Is it ok if flip to falsetto at some point?
Largo # that's fine. I would prefer you flip rather than strain or push your voice to Sing higher
@@aussievocalcoach Ok, thanks :)
What's the top note in that last exercise? Thanx
Should i be doing these exercises while sitting? Is it okay if I lay down ?
yung kush ideally you should be standing but try it lying down and see how you go 😊
During lip trills, is the larynx supposed to stay in lowered position throughout? Mine raises, especially when we get to the higher notes.
Can this help me with high notes, riffs etc?
During the meow exercise and other vocal cry exercises, my voice always breaks and cracks. Is something wrong with my voice?
Same
