Hi i hv a 852d+ i hv the hot air gun going red n burnt the internal coil. I saw some yt videos n they said to change the triac which i did n checked other triacs n they are all good. But im still having the same problem my hot air gun is still going cherry red! Can u advice wat else i must do? I hv a lm358 n the 3041 u mentioned n i checked it n they are not shorted or open...im lost. Pls advice. Thank you.

try disconnect the stick, if you see no change in the display, the problem is the temperature sensor inside the stick

It is ok for small and normal welds. For larger components on geound planes I use 80W ersa with big tips
