Nice 👍 review, I ❤ both your kettles (classic & modern classic) My kettle is Ikea's Metalisk (look like vintage farber kettle, not everyone love it 😂) Scandinavian design is different from US. or Euro It's not expensive. Whistle kettle, Good material, flip handle & cool when water boiled, wild mouth easy to clean 😊 In my country beautiful products fm alessi are too expensive 😂
Great comparison. Have you had to replace the bird whistle on the Alessi? I’ve seen some stuff about them melting over time, but not sure if that was just from user error. I guess either way it’s not a huge deal to replace since they sell them separate.
@@Aletheahthomas good to know, thanks! I had wondered if the melting bird was simply user error. I’d think Alessi would’ve made sure that it was heat resistant for normal use
I have used an enameled Chantal kettle for over 25 years and it's still looks good and works great. The key to sustaining the enamel is to never let it boil dry. Good comparison. I also fill my six cup teapot three to four times a day 😂 No shame there! 🫖 You're my kind of tea gal! 😊

I should check out the IKEA kettle. We have a French press from there that I enjoy using. Thanks for the comment 😊
This is so helpful!!

No, no trouble with the Alessi bird whistle. But I imagine if you left it long enough without water the bird may melt!

I’m on the fence about those two, did either one rust on the inside?
Neither have rusted. The Alessi still going strong after more than a decade, the Le Creuset I've had for 4 months.
