2nd to last video with the bad audio. One more I need to release from my backlog of already-recorded videos, and then I'll be closer to the mic from there on out!
I deeply appreciate your channel. There's no clickbait or overproduction or thinly disguised plagiarism. You craft a story and a narrative and explain it in detail with no fuss or muss and it's something we desperately need more of on TH-cam. You're genuinely inspiring.
I watch a lot of this style of video essay, and yours have the quality and substance of videos from channels a hundred times your size that take months to put one out. How you’re doing what you’re doing I have no idea, but I absolutely love it.
i ate too many tadpoles and now i have Prions :-[ such a bittersweet ending. on one hand its incredibly inspiring and it warms my soul in a way i cant describe to know that sarno was able to fulfill his dreams in the way he did. but on the other, it stung to learn he passed so far away from home. the way you structured this video is truly beautiful. 1 of my favs thus far!!!
This is such an incredible channel and I’m so happy to have stumbled across it. I realize this is a continuation of your radio show, but the quality of your work is still incredibly impressive for such a new channel! Your output rate is also insane, please don’t burn yourself out! Thanks for the entertainment.
As a dakota makes me realize how important our adoption ceremonies were at finding people who really cared about our community and traditions and incorporating them into our societies makes me feel so frustrated at our continued use of the antiquated blood quantum system for an enrollment policy to this day
I'm glad obscure or lesser known cultures get studied, taught about and archived. I hope it continues more, because this stuff is interesting! Also, that pygmy music goes hard (sorry if that sounded cringe lol). Very hypnotic, at least to me. Btw, I ate too many tadpoles and now I have prions! :(
this is such a good video about such a beautiful story concerning a beautiful culture with hauntingly beautiful music. pygmy tribal music will not leave my brain days after watching your video and you relayed the information so well, i just want to come back to this story again and again 💖
This is so cool, thank you again for telling me something I didn't know the story of. The song is very haunting and beautiful. I'm glad we know about them but I wish we never bothered them, there are so few uncorrupted peoples left on this planet. Eno?! Wow, I didn't know about that either, I've heard of Jarvis but not sure if I've seen any of his films.
Hey I discovered your channel pretty recently and just wanna say youve been on a roll, I haven’t seen any other channels cover what you have, keep up the good work fam 👍👍
Loved the video tor! However, and I mean this with no offense, I found the background music a little loud in the first part? Or distracting? Just made it harder for me to focus on what you’re saying. Maybe it’s just me tho. Still loved this episode otherwise! Thank you for the consistency! Happy holidays! EDIT: Jolibee please stop harassing me and my family. I didn’t mean it! There is no need to leave bullets outside my doorstep. I got the message! I’ll never leave a critical comment on this channel again! I swear…just please. Don’t do anything you can’t take back.
I found the background music to be a bit too loud and repetitive, it made it difficult to focus on the story at times. Other than that the video was great, as always. I had never heard of this story, it was very interesting and brilliantly told 👏🏻
also: gentle suggestion, try leaning into your gesticulation (: your storytelling skills are excellent and you don't have to hold back. it looks like you may be stiffening your body from "leaning in" to your speech from shoulders-down. letting yourself talk with your hands may make you more comfortable in front of the camera. but, that's just me. LOVE your channel. thank you for what you do!
If I had to guess, he probably heard a Deep Forest song on the radio. Checking wiki it looks like their first and biggest hit would have been from around that time, so I wouldn't be surprised if their other songs were getting play too.

Don't sweat it
Subways of your mind is sorely missed.
Can you cover the lost continent of Lemuria?

Someone needs to make a trap beat out of that Pygmy chanting song used in the starting credits ASAP. Those intervals and the polyphony are INSANE.
I'd love to hear atmospheric drum n bass music using samples of the pygmy chanting.
For sure. I fell in love with their music immediately

Seriously?
Shoutout New Jersey! Extremely pumped to hear about my beautiful perfect state that has no issues and no problems in the past.

Man, what a treat! Solid video about a subject I knew very little about. This is exactly what TH-cam was made for
As a dakota makes me realize how important our adoption ceremonies were at finding people who really cared about our community and traditions and incorporating them into our societies makes me feel so frustrated at our continued use of the antiquated blood quantum system for an enrollment policy to this day
This is the first channel I've discovered in ages that actually makes content on obscure topics I've never heard of and I love it❤
i've been nonstop watching your videos since i discovered your channel. youtube has become my tor's cabinet of curiosities app.
I'm glad obscure or lesser known cultures get studied, taught about and archived. I hope it continues more, because this stuff is interesting! Also, that pygmy music goes hard (sorry if that sounded cringe lol). Very hypnotic, at least to me.

This is so cool, thank you again for telling me something I didn't know the story of.

Oh no not the Hivemind comment section infiltrating Tor
Forgiven. Jolibee apologizes sincerely and will no longer send Thimble the Doll after you. And I'll turn down the music in the next video.
Tor rocks! Love ur work keep it up lil bro ✌️✌️
The chanting of the tribe sounds as close to birdcalls as humans can sound. It's incredible, and I understand why he fell in love.
Who knew Brian Eno would end up tied into all this! 10/10.
i fw your channel heavy❤️
Really great content! Again!
woooo another Tor banger
perfect now i have more content to consume
I found the background music to be a bit too loud and repetitive, it made it difficult to focus on the story at times. Other than that the video was great, as always. I had never heard of this story, it was very interesting and brilliantly told 👏🏻
i have been so blessed by the algorithim in being delivered your channel.

Wow, what a wild story! So sad he never made it back home. But I feel he accomplished a lot more than most of us get to.
If I had to guess, he probably heard a Deep Forest song on the radio.

Awesome stuff
Happy to be here
Did anyone ever tell the Pygmies that Sarno was dead? Or did they just see him leave sick one day and then he never came back? The man had kids
39:57 **proud bald eagle noises**
Hey man.. how much for the durian?
Great video, but I think you could reconfigure your audio set up a bit.
Loved when they beat the black magic allegations
