If someone is reading this in 2019 or beyond, this is built with 2x6s on what looks set on 2 foot centers. They are using joist hangers and maybe 3/4 plywood. The legs are out of treated 4x4s. I read the comments and it took them 8hrs!!
As a carpenter the lumber looked correct but the plywood needs to be offset by 4ft (lay the first row then start the 2nd row by placing a 4ft sheet of plywood as a starter.) Also I would put at least 2 more legs under each 2x6 for support, if this will have adults standing on it. Also this should take at the most 2hrs with 4 people.

Thanks for this info! In today's prices do you think materials would be somewhere between 800 to 1k? We are wanting to build one that is around 20 ft wide and 15 ft deep so would be a bit more but just curious if you have any idea. Thank you so much!

Notch the legs dudes the whole thing is supported by the nails driven into the stands or legs ,whatever you want to call them.

Actually, as long as the legs are butted up against the bottom of the deck the load will be carried from the deck through the legs to the floor. I would have went with 2x4s for the legs (cheaper) and yeah, you could put a 2x4 under the frame next to the leg if you're really gonna be paranoid about it.

how much did this cost to build?

+JAY ROSE I just priced this out at Home Depot. If the stage is 16' x 16' the cost is $530 parts delivered. That's with all the brackets, bolts, joists and 4x4's seen in the video.

@@NoemiT210 whith material on site that should take two experienced Carpenters no more than 3 hours to do this. But I wouldn't follow exactly how they did it. I would be notching out the 4x4s to accept the two by sixes and adding quite a few more 4x4s. Plus they did not stagger there plywood or glue any of it down, it will be squeaking quite badly. Whoever built this just so you know that they are amateurs.

Remind me Not to hire these guys for anything, Look like 4 guys and one chick. all i seen was a lot of standing around with your hands in your pockets and sitting. looks like it took all day for something that should have taken 1 hour. But it looked good. video would have been better if you finished the stage with stairs and a top over the plywood.
