I’d say of all the members, Jin is the biggest mystery. He has a very public persona as Jin of BTS but he keeps his true self very private. In public, he is very self-confident (he created his own nickname of Worldwide Handsome) and funny. But privately, he is introverted and humble. As a lot of people have already said, he was chosen to join BTS for his looks - and that’s all. All of the other members had at least some training or prior experience with music or dancing. Jin was the only one with zero experience. And since he was the oldest member, it was very humbling for him to lag behind the other members so much in terms of ability. To this day, he still has a bit of an inferiority complex when it comes to his abilities as a musician. When their first English song Dynamite blew up and reached #1 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart, he suffered from Imposter Syndrome and wrote a song called Abyss, describing how he felt like he wasn’t worthy of all the praise he was getting. He specifically said there are so many other musicians more talented than him and he felt like they were more deserving of the honor than he was. Anyway, please check out Abyss, it’s his best song.
I will 100% check that song out, I feel that imposter syndrome very often and couldn't even imagine what it must feel like on that massive of a stage. if only he could see himself through the eyes of ARMY
@@JohnReavesLive I just want to clarify: the song Abyss doesn't specifically state he had Imposter Syndrome. But Jin released some comments with the song, in which he said he was going through what he described as "burnout," saying that after Dynamite reached #1 and people were congratulating and praising him, he felt that there were other musicians who were more talented and deserving than him. He talked to a therapist and Bang PD (their CEO), who encouraged him to put his feelings into a song, which is how Abyss came about. Here is a lyric video (there is no official MV): th-cam.com/video/817ZdL2lZZ8/w-d-xo.html
He was scouted twice for his good looks. First by SM Entertainment which he refused cus he thought it was a scam. Then by Big Hit later on. He was going to school to be an actor when Big Hit scouted him.
he went to one of the SM auditions when he was 15 and got a call back but then got cold feet because he was scared. there is a radio interview where he talks about it.
@@2_the_moon_and_backrg.
Jin always try to lighten the room, you can see in many interviews that he is the one who break the ice and crack the first joke despite being an introvert. He would step out his comfort zone to make sure other BTS members don’t feel pressure. I would say he have high EQ and is street smart (watched Run BTS, where he would win most of the time). Jin is also the one who encourage the members to express their concern; in Bon Voyage Malta after RM read his letter (it was deep as RM shared his struggles and loneliness). Jin was so worried that he told RM, he should reach out to them whenever he felt down and later lead to the creation of “Kore” by Jin so that the whale that RM wrote in “whalien 52” do not feel lonely anymore. The same thing happen with Suga at “In The Soop”, Suga felt he is not doing enough and Jin help to console him saying his accomplishments already exceed many others and he should be happy and recognised those win. Suga look happier and seems more relaxed after that chat. Nowadays, I noticed all members said they want to live like Jin. Very carefree yet fulfilling. Jin is quite daring too, he called out people doing chart manipulation and asked them to do music in an honest way at 2019 MAMA award show while receiving an award. A boss move. In 2018 MGA he also seen worn the same white shirt by punk band, Dead Kennedy as they protested the corrupt music industry and musicians who sell out or do payola. Jin have always been consistent- when he set his mind on something he will follow through. 💜✨
I relate to Jin a lot too. Some media, specially western ones, try to paint him as awkward, narcissistic bc he always says goofy things or repets alot "world wide handsome" in interviews and that... but as RM said, he is the one that usually breaks the ice to make his member laugh and relax... The fact that he is shy enough to tell their members to not look at him a lot but goes out of his way to put himself in the spot light to make them more comfortable is admirable💜 it says alot about his personality. Also the fact that he practice in secret, shows how much he cares to not make the members worry, how much diligence, perseverance, professionalism and self discipline he has. I really love how he approach his weakness, he embraced them, dont denied them and that gives him the power to know how much efforts he needs...
YES! That he practices in secret is such a big thing, I cant tell you how much that makes a difference and how much respect the other band members must have for him after finding that out
@@JohnReavesLive Respect! yeah, that's the word that I forgot while writting this haha... I wanted to say too that the fact he practices in secret is also a sign of how much respect he has for the members and for ARMY (and as you said the respect they have for him after finding that out). This shows why he cried so much for making a mistake in their debut, he was in a point were he thought he wasn't a good enough dancer or singer, so being also the one who "messed up" their debut must have being rly stressful... (I putt it in quotes bc the reality is he didn't messed up, if it wasn't for the behind the scenes we wouldn't even know) Shows the responsibility he has with his members, his fans and with his career
Jin is my most favorite person in the world. i know it might sound exaggerating but this man saved me. i was crying so hard yesterday because he went to military. he has a very pure heart and a beautiful personality, i learned to be happy because of him. he is my comfort person
Without even mentioning his unbelievable talents (and they are many), I think Jin has taught me the most since becoming ARMY. When first looking into their personalities, I thought Jin was a bit dorky and conceited, but my perspective has changed so much. He taught me that everyone has their own pace, and forward motion, no matter how small is still progress. He also taught me the importance of positive self talk. I think a lot of us have a running commentary in our heads of negativity towards ourselves and we need to work hard to flip that switch. We are so much kinder to everyone around us than we are to ourselves sometimes. Thanks for the great lessons Jin!
For real when watching this video I told myself "I'm going to be kinder to you" lol and I know that sounds dumb but for real I am my own worst enemy I judge myself so harshly and I could really ease up some.
My first impression of Jin was that he was conceited and bland. Was I ever wrong! He went from being my least favorite to my bias wrecker. He's great, but no one can replace Suga as my bias.
@@JohnReavesLive It's true...we say horrible things to ourselves that we wouldn't say to anyone else, because it's too unkind and we know it would inflict pain and trauma on them. I wonder why it's so hard to have the same kindness towards ourselves?
Ah, Jin. My bias. When i was a baby army, Jin really didn’t took to me right away. But as i have watched more and more of their content, documentaries, Run BTS, Bangtan bombs and other behind the scenes videos, i have grown to admire him a lot. He is talented, funny, witty, sweet and such a good big brother to them all. He’s the reason why I have changed a lot of my mindset and his positivity and words helped me out so much and gotten me out of my rut. It also helped me be more confident with myself and not shy away or be discouraged and work hard for something that will help me grow. Because of that mindset, im now in a much better place emotionally, in my career and in my relationships. You will get to know him and the others better as you go along.
All 7 of them are great in their own ways. But I favor Jin the most because of his personality. He is very relatable. Jin is the kind of person who you know is having a hard time but will never let you think nor see he is. He's a sucker for a happy and positive atmosphere. He doesn't like it when mood is sad, reason why some people misunderstand him. Even those times he suffered burnt-out he never spoke about it but wrote a song (Abyss) and came back like nothing ever happened. He is a great human being, like all of them are.
I love how Jin takes care of his brothers. He is the emotional glue that holds them together. I love watching their variety shows because you can really see individual personalities and quirks. I’ve always admired Jin for his humor and his compassion. Such a great guy. He is such a role model for our youth.
He was pretty much scouted for his visuals. Literally as he was getting off a bus, he got approached by a Big Hit employee. I think despite him not having experience in dancing and singing, they saw potential in him to be one.
Jin was really a revelation for me. He must have had this "innate" talent in him and Big hit was able to uncover his talent. Jin came from a well off family and during their training days he would randomly treat all the members to dinner (especially JK whom he always feed as he was the youngest and he was the oldest in the group) using the credit card his mom gave him when he went to training. And he was a caring member like he drove JK to school when JK was still studying and prepares his school meals too. He also cooks for all the members same with Suga. I do believe this 7 boys were really destined to be together. Everyone who has seen all BTS members says all are good looking but there's something "extra" with Jin. You will definitely look again and again to him. It's like his face glows up.
Jin is one of the main reasons I'm still alive. The way he looks at life makes me feel so... Happy. Ever since I got to know him better as a person and less like an idol (wooo you should definitely make a video about IDOL!) I wanted to get his confidence. I see so much about myself in him that I'm working as hard as I can to see things the way he does. I used to be a very cheerful person and the one that supported everyone, but a huge depression got me and I stood at the bottom for a lot of time. Now, thanks to him, his cheerful smile and the shared wish we have to make people happy and smile, I can get up every morning and say that I still have a reason to be alive. I want to make everyone laugh, I want to see the smile in their faces because that's exactly what makes me happy so I think, just like him, that I kinda use people to make me happy through making them happy too. That's a way to make the world better, right? Jin is that kind of person the world doesn't deserve but really really needs right now. Society in general has became such a hard place to live, always pushing people to be mean and self centered to succeed and have a decent life, but Jin is different. He's the kind of person that stops if he sees someone crying and gives them a tissue, instead of just keep walking like everyone else. He's really the best big brother BTS could have, even when he was the youngest in his family. He has taken his role with his new brothers very seriously and he has made ARMY and the boys so proud. He deserves a lot of credit. I love that you started with the two most underrated members of the band, because your videos help showing that these two are so humble, kind, nice and take care of the band as if they were their actual family (to be fair, they kind of are, they lived together for a lot of time) and they deserve this love. They deserve people to know that these two have worked their tushies off to be where they are, because they weren't singers or dancers when they started (I know, Nam was a rapper, but still, he wasn't nor a singer nor a dancer) and if you look at live performances you would never guess. So thank you, thank you so much for this
@@franciscacachero8105 thanks 🥺 it's just that... He deserves more love and credit than he gets. A lot of people don't value how much effort he puts into things, how much love and passion he brings to everything he does. He really saved my life ♡
Jin is a diamond. You got that right. By now others have told you that he didn't audition. He was plucked off the street because of his visuals. He has worked hard to perfect his craft. He has become an equal to the rest of the vocal line and his dancing has also become noteworthy.
Jin is what you call my bias wrecker or second bias, because he's actually one of my role models. I'm actually his elder in age, but I feel like I have learned so much from his humility and personality. Jin inspires me so much.
Some of the sweetest things I see when it comes to Jin, is how humble he is. But when he says things like "I can't dance well" it breaks my heart. But then I always see the others stop him from bad talking himself, very quickly (V gets really mad when Jin downs himself) and it shows how much they care for their oldest Hyung. As the video said, each one of the guys play a part in the group and honestly without even one of them, I don't think they would have come so far.
Jin is amazing and doesn’t get enough credit for what he has done. He is RMs emotional support, the big brother to him who almost always especially in stressful interviews stand next to him. He basically got saddled with helping to raise these 5 younger kids than him. I don’t count Suga in that as they are only born 3 months apart but even then he IS a big brother to Suga just much less so. He had 13yo JK who he stepped up to take care of and who imprinted on him like a baby duck (it’s adorable). The 95 line of V and Jimin were in HS through their training and debut days. He’s a steady presence who does so many things that stabilize the team emotionally. Plus he’s stepped up to work harder and longer hours to learn to sing and dance. Our world wide handsome has features that are just about perfect proportions for Korean standards but he’s so much more with a voice that stuns me with his emotion and growing as a composer.
Jin was scouted in the street for his look while he was going to school, he studied to become an actor back then and auditioned to become an actor at big hit but ended up joining the group ! At this point he had no experience in singing nor dancing. He had to learn at the age of 20-21 and is now doing an amazing job ! I'm so proud 😭 Please Army correct me if I'm wrong 💜
This is correct ARMY! He's rather talented to actually start late but still was able to catch up with the other members. He practiced almost double the time the other members do since he was not as good in picking up dance moves, etc. He's also from a well off family, his father a CEO himself. But he still endured training and living in a small dorm with Bangtan coz he wants to prove he can also reach his dreams. Such a great guy 😭
@@J-to-thA-Lee Korean Age-20 International age-19, which isn't too old. Many present singers started singing after 25 too. The progress he made after 10 years is really noticeable, he is recognised by the Grammy panel too, has a 4.5 stable octave range
If you want to see how to raise your self esteem then take a leaf out of Jin's book. He set to and found a way to boost his self confidence. He decided that he's Worldwide Handsome. It's a joke but we all know that while also knowing that it's true. He makes himself happy by making others happy. He's a good dancer but it takes longer for him to learn the choreo. He raises the mood of the group with his dad jokes. That's not to say that he doesn't struggle. Bang PD told him to write a song to help him get over a bad patch and it worked. I love his love of his BT21 character, RJ. He sees him as his son and gets comfort by carrying a toy RJ around. He even wore an RJ on his head at one of the concerts in LA. What is really great about him is the way he adapts his behaviour to suit the person he's with. He used to share a room with SUGA and they got along because Jin was quiet around him but with JK he says he's an 8 year old child. The two of them goof off and come out of their shells. He and Yoongi are good cooks with JK catching up to them and Hobi liking to have a go as well.
Jin is an amazing person and he truly is an outstanding, talented, caring, out of this world human. BTS wouldn't be BTS without him. He loves his brothers and he loves army so deeply. Can't wait form your next member reaction. 💜
- I think that Big Hit saw the raw talent in Jin combined with an amazing work ethic. To me it says a lot that he was accepted into a very prestigeous arts university with an acceptance rate of only 1 in 200 through early admission based on his acting talent. When he sets his mind to something there's no stopping him. - Even though Jin is usually freakin hilarious and goes out of his way to make people happy, he says that it's different when it comes to his music which is why you'll find that his solo songs are often about insecurities or self-scrutiny. - Jin calling himself World Wide Handsome is not about him being cocky. In fact it's just the opposite: He uses it to boost his self-esteem and to ease the pressure on the other members. Also, he thinks it's funny that he's considered handsome all over the world. 😅 - One of his many nicknames is King of Run BTS (their variety show where they did the bungee-jump) because he's really good at puzzles and spy-games and he's funny af. 😂 - It's a known fact that Jin and Suga are the chefs of the group but a lesser known fact is that in the beginning when they were struggling financially Jin (being the only one to come from money) would sometimes pay for their groceries out of his own pocket. - Jin's not one to blow up but dang if I would ever challenge him to a battle of passive-aggressive. He can be seriously savage when he wants to be! - Last but not least... You might come across the term Jin Hit Entertainment. It started because of a joke tweet he made about Big Hit Entertainment but has kinda become a term to describe when Jin acts "extra Jin" or breaks the company rules which he's known for. Jin may be selfless but Jin answers to Jin! (and I freakin love it! 😄)
Jin’s philosophy of fun & carefree are one of BTS’s unique points. Seeing the messages they send and the way they goof around during TV appearances and interviews are very relatable.
I think people often forget that they started off as any other k pop group. Jin was scouted for his visuals and I think the company saw his stage presence as an actor and that is why he was hired as a trainee. But it was still like other groups, there were like 20 guys that went through the trainee process specifically for BTS. It is often told as story as if each boy was hand picked for the group, but they were at risk just as much as the others to be removed from the group. The fact that Jin continues to grow as an artist without having had any formal training before becoming a trainee is what is most impressive about him.
At the beginnings, when I heard him calling himself WWH it showed to me his self esteem was low, that he based it just on his beauty, or at least, he thought people did this way. His inner beauty is so huge that comes out, he doesn't even age!! I love this guy, his way of facing life is what I've been trying to practice in my own life. He says he doen't think... no, he doesn't waste time thinking on things that he can't solve because don't depend on him. Did you hear him talking to haters during his acceptance speech on an award show? He is so concise, precise, don't waste words, use a few but sharpening!
Jin and Yoongi are my Biases, Jin's amazing! They all are but I feel most connected to Jin and Yoongi. Jin songs, to me, really are the most emotional, he puts so much emotion in every one. I'm glad you're taking this time to get to know all 7 of them.. and I saw JK 😉
TKO!!!! thank you so much for sticking through the whole video!!! and heck yes! I totally agree! just watched Suga's and I really relate to him on a musician level!
I've always been amazed as to how he hits his high notes by making himself smaller and physically goes lower. I've had vocal training before and the singing coaches always say aim high when you wanna sing high. So for him to be able to produce that kind of result by doing the opposite of what is the norm is just amazing.
Seokjin is an adorable human being but most of his good traits and talents are overlooked by his face. I am glad that people have started recognizing how different he is because it was not the same a few years back. Many had objected to his presence in BTS. To them, he was only a visual and nothing more. It hurts me so much that most people took so much time to understand his authenticity and how he over-worked himself to reach where he is right now.
If you think about it, Jin was the only one who started with zero experience in singing & dancing unlike others who were selected for their singing & dancing. The pressure that he felt to be better being surrounded by talented members, the dance & singing teachers, bighit, and the kpop industry must have been immense. But he overcame that and learned to love himself along the road. I truly admire his mental fortitude. I cannot imagine handling that pressure everyday for a very long time. So kudos really to him! He and the rest of bts members inspires me to work harder & diligent, be more appreciative, be kind. Thanks for taking the time to know them all. 💜
Jin must have that "it" factor that just draws people's eye in person. He was stopped on the street not once, but twice, and asked to audition by labels. There's a video that shows how, wherever BTS appears at awards shows or events, the cameras always zero in on Jin first. He's handsome, of course, but in person he must really stand out. It's gotta give a guy a complex working with such a talented group but he's inspirational proof that through hard work it's possible to learn to sing and dance as well as the best in the world. Seokjin Silver Voice.💜💜💜
Jin definitely has a special place in my heart. I relate to him because I am always looking to the bright side of things. He's such a caring individual.
I love Jin! As you watch more you’ll see he’s one of the funniest in the group. But he’s so much more than that. He has so many meaningful deep thoughts & philosophies that have helped me so much personally. And I believe he really is the one that keeps the other members relaxed & feel more comfortable. I have especially noticed it in English interviews where they at times seem a little nervous. He’ll say something goofy or funny & it seems to really relax everyone & lighten the mood. I also love his relationship with the younger members. Especially with JK, they have a really special bond. I think it says a lot about Jin how he looks after them. He has talked about when he first met JK several times about being struck by how young he was & his big doe eyes. I think Jin (& Suga too) saw it as his responsibility to take care of him from then on. JK was 13 (Jin was 18) when they met & at one point when they were trainees (pre-debut) JK considered going back home. He was homesick & missed his family. He said Seoul was big & scary to him at that time & that Jin is the one that helped him to love Seoul. He took him around & showed him places & invited him to family dinners with his family when he missed his own. He said he always treated him like a real younger brother.
Seokjin is such an inspiration to me. He had to work so hard to get where he is and you can tell he did. He also has a very comforting aura to him. I see why the others gravite to him and why he fell into the role of older brother well, after some trial and era of course. He certainly brings me a lot of comfort.
Jin is so relatable but at the same time so amazing . He "puts himself down " to make other people comfortable ,he wouldn't mind doing embarrassing stuff if it helps others . in the Moment you just see a funny joke but you don't realize he actually does it consciously to help. he is full of confidence because he knows it's the right way to go but he is still SO humble you almost never hear him take credit for things . you don't realize how caring he is because your re busy laughing with him at his jokes . his "mother of the group " title actually fits him like a glove in every aspect .
Yours, awake, moon by jin really good songs. I really like jin voice when they perform magic shop live. Jin and Jhope are typical persons who don't need to "show up" their contributed to the team. They both happy just by seeing the team success. BTS is the group with best brotherhood relationship in the word.
Jin is the perfect example that when you work super hard and with a precise goal in mind you can acomplish anything. It is admirable. Hard to tame depression. My kids say I am always looking to the bright, positive side. This is my way of coping with it.
JIn is a total package as an artist aside from being handsome obviously his the WWH, he can sing, host, comedian, dance, and act. About his personality, his smart, sporty, funny, loving, caring, can cook, and loving son . No one will not love JIN and I,m of those when the first time I watched the MV of "Fix you" .
thank u for your Jin reaction, Jin is my bias and I learned to love him, and I like when people get to know that he is not only funny and crazy, but inteligent, talented, hard worker and more, he is such an amazing person. thank u again, waiting for your next reaction!
Thank you for recognizing Jin’s voice! Im sooo happy! 😍he was of the underated singer out there but not anymore he really shined this time. Also, what i loved about him Is his outgoing youthful vibe which helped the other members during their struggle time. His optimistic, smart and pure hearted person. You will be ashamed of yourself just by looking at him haha but in the good way bec he gives this caring, passionate and confidence in every person.
The struggles of them as BTS and their individual struggles are too much to handle at their age before, I'm just so glad and happy for them that they have each other, I really think that they are destined to be together and become the inspirations to many, around the world.
bts as a whole has helped me tremendously with my own journey towards self-compassion. jin especially had resonated with me as i'm also a guy who lacked self-confidence and is hard on himself. he's an amazing person and completely underrated-- as are the hyung line for the most part. i also love his coming up story through his journey with bts, going from a guy with an acting dream and no singing or dancing background, to a man with a silver voice and the ability to perform complicated choreography along with the rest of the guys. thank you for seeing how awesome jin is, too! i'm glad you appreciate him and his words. he's an intelligent, funny, and sweet guy with a lot to offer. honestly i'm happy to see how receptive and open you are to bts! i too was a metal fan growing up, but bts found me when i needed them-- as is the story for many army-- and i appreciate their passion and talents very much.
I really relate to this! Ive been a massive metal fan my whole life because I felt like the lyrics spoke to me in a way other music just didnt, BTS is fitting in to that same spot very well in my life and its crazy how regardless of the genre is still breaks those walls down!
I think it took a while for me to realize that while he is the oldest in the group he is literally the maknae in his birth family. At first I couldn't understand why he was struggling in his role as the oldest in the group. Its hard when for a long time everywhere else you were the youngest. I think he finally found his footing and got the balance. Which make for sheer comedy sometimes. Especially those rare times he pulls the hyung(older brother)card.
I am re-watching this as I was almost dizzy when I did earlier in the car on my way to work. This is actually the first time I've watched this intro vid. I'm touched at how it showcased my bias' personality. If some have liked Jin bcoz he's WWH, not me. My first bias was V. Then when I got deeper into BTS, I just found myself admiring Jin's personality in Run BTS and Bon Voyage. He is soooo damn funny! Like everything he does, made me laugh at a tiring, horrible day. Then I heard him in his self-composed and produced song, ABYSS. And I just declared he's gonna be my bias forever.. This is getting me freakin' emotional John 😭 Thanks for this. If you're up for more reactions on Jin that also shows his precious love for the other members, you can always ask me, I know just where to find the perfect vid :) Very excited tomorrow too for my bias wrecker's turn, Yooongiii!! 💜
J-Lee for real I would love some other Jin song suggestions! I really love everything ive heard or seen about him, I really relate to Jin so much.... lol on another note, todays videos are HEAVY! suga is such a amazing song writer.
Jin is my bias. 💜 I love him so much. He's really struggled with his self confidence in the past, which i really relate to, and even now he sometimes struggles with imposter syndrome. But he is so intentional in his efforts to love himself and accept himself and it's so encouraging to see.
Jin is such a humble person. He is a caring Hyung or big brother. During the pandemic when their tour got cancelled and he saw that all the members were sad...he invited them all to his uncle's strawberry farm and had strawberry picking where all members enjoyed. Whenever the maknae line would go out and would inform him he would give them allowances or during birthdays even if they are all earning now. In the big house where they all equally owned and share...RM maybe their leader but according to RM it's Jin who rules the house. And one thing Jin is a college graduate at Konkuk University (one of Korea's prestigious universities) and I believe he is taking up masteral courses (online) at the shcool where JK just recently graduated.
I binged your reactions first and then watching all your reaction to bts and how genuine you are now I am your subscriber lol , stay true to yourself and I feel you with all the emotional kinda thing I’m suffering from Anxiety and Depression it’s actually Jin’s epiphany song that got me into bts 👍👏
Grace for real thank you so much!! I appreciate that more than you know I really have learned a few ways to deal with my anxiety but it’s something I think I’ll always have to deal with. It’s great to meet others likeminded and know we’re not alone in this!
The thing I love about Jin is the way he looks after and takes care of the others. There's a video of one time before they performed, he went around and hugged each member so they wouldn't be nervous. The company was so poor initially that they didn't have a lot of staff, so Jin made JK's lunch every day and drove him to and from school. He's incredibly talented!
Thank you for your reaction, John. It is gratifying to see how you could so relate to Jin's words and outlook. Towards the end there where he is saying "you only see my bright and positive side ..." he is talking to V - during their "Wings" tour V said that Jin should move faster in a sequence of their Spring Day performance (V moves to the side to sing his line, Jin comes to him and touches his shoulder while singing his line, they both have to turn quickly and run back to the main formation. Jin is on the further side of the formation so has a longer way to go and immediately upon reaching his spot has to jump in synchrony with the rest of the group.) Jin was concerned that if he started moving earlier he would fall out of tempo. V was concerned about running into Jin. Jin said "just take shorter steps"; which was not acceptable to V so the argument got heated and in a rare instance Jin was angry with V. They had to go back onstage for the next song and V was crying because of the fight. So this conversation was after the performance, when they were all gathered again and RM said they should sort it out and took the other members out of the room. This video talks about Jin caring for the other members but does not go into a lot of detail. When they started Jin was the only one with a driver's license so when staff are not available he would drive the other members to appointments, including driving Jung Kook to school every day. And yes, he did most of the cooking. Jin was recruited for his good looks, although I think he wouldn't have survived the winnowing process from 30+ trainees to the final 7 if the management did not see the potential in his voice. I haven't seen any account where Jin was at risk of being dropped from the group. He was designated the group's visual i.e., the good-looking member. In their 2019 Festa , RM mentioned how uncomfortable Jin was with his "concept". Because he had zero experience in singing or dancing when he joined, critics often said that he was just there for his good looks. In the video of the 2014 Festa (their one year anniversary after debut) Jin was obviously uncomfortable and self-conscious, staying quiet while the other members were goofily dancing with their song being played. Sometime after this, he must have decided to front-foot the visual designation because when people would comment on his looks, he would just say "yes, I'm handsome" and move on to the next topic. Just as well because around 2015 and from that time on, he would go viral for his looks when BTS made appearances. He gave himself the nickname "World Wide Handsome" while being interviewed in the U.S. after going viral again, turning the whole good looks thang into a lighthearted running joke. If you can do a reaction to Jin's BE-hind interview where he was being interviewed by Jung Kook, that would be fabulous. Thanks again.
as you dig deeper into each member I think you'll find relatable personality with each individual. maybe relate to some more than others, but you will definitely find something.
@@JohnReavesLive im telling ya lol. Each member is precious. Of course you know my bias is Suga and j hope. But I truly love and appreciate them all. And im sure you will too. There’s no way you can’t love them!
:) for real Thank you so much for this! I really am having a blast getting to know everyone in Army as well listen to these amazing songs and getting to know myself better in the process
jin hummm he was chosen because he is handsome so he is perfect as visual ( that's why he always says worldwide handsome) his progress and evolution is really remarkable when you see him in 2015-16 and now he is really awewome now.
Ok, it seems most armys see Jin as only a funny guy lol. Jin started singing at age 18- 19(international age) which isn’t too old. Now he has a 4.5 stable octave range and biggest stable range in BTS, and one of the biggest range in kpop. He is recognised by the Grammy for his Silvery Voice by which he can switch from Falsetto to Headvoice easily when most singers find it difficult. Jin is also named the Manner Idol. Jin is the official visual of BTS.
@@Bolachas25 yep sorry. He was actually between 18 and 19. He started singing in 2011, and there are baby armys spreading false information that he started singing at 21
The maker of this video didn't get into the whole "World Wide Handsome" thing but Jin isn't actually arrogant or conceited about his looks. It's more like an inside joke for the other 6 members than anything else. Hearing him declare that he's "WWH, World Wide Handsome" helps the others to relax during interviews or when they're on a TV show or something. When they were in Los Angeles last November/December, someone recognized him on the street but instead of asking hime if he was really Jin, the person asked if he was World Wide Handsome. Jin got so flustered, he couldn't really respond. Jin can be very self-sacrificing, both for the other members of the group and for ARMY, but he does it in a way that most people don't even realize what he's doing. Like, in one episode of RUN, their variety show, Jin was in charge of figuring out who was the bad guy or guys out of the group in the scenario that was set up. Jin is very good at those kinds of games and almost certainly knew the correct answer but he gave the wrong answer anyway. There were another two episodes planned around the game they were playing, but those two episodes couldn't happen if Jin had given the right answer. So, he let ARMY think that he got it wrong, just so they could continue the game and film two more episodes. He does things like that all the time. I have a great deal of love and respect for him.
They saw Jin while he was in public and loved his face and gave him a card and told him to try out. He was in college to be an actor so he never was traditionally trained as a singer or dancer. His face for him in the door and Thank God for that!!
I love Jin!!! He really drew me into BTS with his personality and voice!! I relate to Jin and Yoongi probably the most. Sometime I highly recommend reacting to these other videos to get to know him: -Seokjin is a mysterious man by Jinnieats -Kim Seokjin; a documentary
Scouting was/is an INtense thing in Korea apparently. Big hit scouts grabbed him as he was coming off the bus lol. He was in university, he was studying to be an actor. When they told him they were putting him as the "visual" in BTS, he considered leaving but thank effing god, he just got to work (it seems that he thought he was auditioning as an actor). They told him to just be gorgeous but he not only learned the dances, he put a lot of work in learning how to sing. He's probably the most trained technically, JK has said that he doesn't want to take singing lessons because it changes his unconscious singing instincts and he wants to stay natural. Looking brooding isn't really his personality so over time he's made his place and presence. He's the one who stopped production one day and said no, we need to eat now. There's a story about a video where all the guys are wearing the same outfit except for Suga, apparently Suga was so malnourished that he didn't fit in the normal men's sizes so they gave him a kid's size. You see him wearing it in bulletproof eternal, the little sailor outfit. As army, we get snippets of info and kind of have to piece everything together but, I bloody love that man! 💜
Jin is a great big brother, he is always looking out for the other members. We sometimes forget that the most cheerful person on the outside is struggling on the inside and im glad he has over come so much because he definitely is the mood maker of the group. He may not of known how to sing or dance when he joined but like all the other member there would be no BTS without Jin.
Jin was scouted coming out of a bus just for his looks.. BUT in auditions companies don't let you pass only for looks, they scout people for that but you need to show something worthy.... We don't have Jin's audition but Bang PD has a rly good eye to see potential in people... so I believe he saw all the talent Jin wasn't aware he had..
Having good looks is not "just". It's everything to be an idol in kpop especially during the early generation. I'm glad though that this days I see kpop breaking that stereotype.
Jin é um ser humano especial, ele comprava comida pra todos quando estavam começando,e é a alegria do bts, eu sou apaixonada por esse príncipe, rei dos vocais, da humildade e exemplo de sed humano
Jin was scouted by SM entertainment (exo’s company) twice, he thought it was a scam once and refused, other time he auditioned and got a call back but he didn’t respond. He was scouted by Bighit when he was getting off the bus and going to his university
If he went to sm no doubt after training he would have been a main vocalist along with Chen,Baekhyun,Do cause he has a 4.5 stable octave range(bigger than Chen too)(Saying this as both bts and Exo stan)
Buenísimo!! Muchas gracias por tu reacción y dedicación 👏👏🙏🙏🙏 Son tan diferentes sus personalidades y es tan increíble la sinergia que hay entre ellos. Jin❤️
I think Jin plays piano and guitar, he’s a complete artist/musician and his voice deserves to be called the Silver Voice! He is amazing as an artist and human being!
Aside from his talent- Of the members, I think Jin would be the one I would want to hang out with the most. He just has a way he seems to make people feel comfortable and seems like he would be someone you could just be yourself around. Like a good drinking buddy. 😅💜👍🏻
for me having the same birth year as Jin, I envy his personality a lot.. I'm too, suffer from depression from my upbringing where every family relatives will compare their children (academically/success) everytime.. and it really affected me until now (in work life) as I'm still not able to say I'm being successful.. If he'll be like a brother to me, I will, for sure, going to follow everything and every advice that he gives, as he is, for me is way too mature (in his thinking) compared to me.. I want to be that kind of person, just like him.. able to see things from the bright side and helping others to be happy to make yourself happy.. I really appreciate that line so much.
Jin is the person I aspire to be. His mindset and life story is so inspiring. He’s an amazing human being and knowing he started singing and dancing at 20 and worked hard until he became flawless is amazing. Plus when taking about Jin people mostly mention his age. What’s crazy is they he’s only 3 months older than Suga and less than 2 years older than RM & J-hope. All the members r pretty close in age. He is also the life of the Party! I can’t wait until u get to see more sides to him :) thanks for the video💜
Hey John. I watched this members series a long time ago and I don't think I've ever seen anyone else watching/reacting to it. So nice to rewatch this again with you. I love Jin's voice as well! I don't know if you're familiar with Japanese music scene but I always thought that Jin's voice fits so well with J-Pop/J-Rock sound. When you get to their Japanese songs later on I think you'll see what I mean. I'm enjoying this BTS members week! Toodles, lol 😂😆.
11:45 : Made me tear up a bit because once he's on stage or with his members he will smile through it and move on. If these boys, then men didn't respect eachother and actually be like family, it wouldn't be possible. And I think it's good that Jimin adresed the issue. 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜 And what he said about loving yourself, giving yourself time and complimenting yourself is so important!!! Thanks for sharing these rections, I'm rediscovering the boys through this and crying quite a bit to be honest... But I wanted to say thanks, it's time and dedication and being available like thi can't be easy. ❤
Just wanted to say that Jin is appreciated by ARMY. He is beloved. Some of the portion of this video implies he is not appreciated and I have to say that’s incorrect from my perspective. Thank you for another wonderful reaction.
I'm enjoying this series you're doing! Double the BTS every day is such a treat. They're all so wonderful in their own ways that it's hard not to love em.
He was picked purely for his looks while getting off a bus. He auditioned to become an actor. He learned to sing and dance after being casted. One way BTS is different from other traditional idol groups is that, in general, in Korea, idol groups are seen as shallow bubblegum pop groups created for a visual concept. So they cast people even if you can’t sing or dance or write/do music, so long as you have the right look and they train u to sing and dance. That’s why traditionally and generally, idols receive very little respect and aren’t consider3d “real” musicians. Until BtS broke that. You may have read about some of their hardships or hate they got starting out. It was in large part due to this. In America the closest I can parallel this is to Mickey Mouse club. Imagine if eminem started at Mickey Mouse then tried to come out with a crazy rap album
You got something wrong... looks alone arent enough to debut... you need some kind of talent or base... the flow of trainees is such that you would always have pretty and talented people to debut, so the chances of debuting only bc of looks is low... Is true that between 2 singer, for example, the industry always picks the "prettiest" one even if the talent is a little low than the other... but between 2 pretty poeple they pick the talented one..
Jin was scouted for his visuals. At first I was wondering why does he always call himself WWH, I thought it was annoying at that time. Although I feel that way about him,I was still drawn to him n so learn more about him watching RunBTS, SOOP, etc.. then I listen to Epiphany, watched his documentary. Even to this day I still feel motivated by his hard work, efforts n his journey towards loving himself.
@@JohnReavesLive Bon Voyage has some of the most wonderful moments of Interpersonal Relationships. I'm on Season 3, but Season 2 in Hawaii was the "Friendship Season" 💜🫰🏾💗
Thank you sir John for this awesome reaction video of JIN..He really is super humble, talented and loveable artist....after watching I subscribed our channel..good luck 🤩😍🎉
Jin was employed as a visual, he was at uni training to be an actor. They wanted a goodlooking guy to be at the centre of the videos they would put out with the music.
In the kpop scene, auditions see potentials to be a trainee. Trainees undergo classes and skill trainings for 1-3 yrs and face elimination anytime during that period, until only the desired number of ppl remain, which forms the group/band. Much like the voice and other such reality show but without the cameras and audience.
So agree with you!
Jin is the biggest mystery and miracle for me, for sure
@@JohnReavesLive ty love that song its my fav from him.

For real what a boss move calling them out at the awards show!!! I really love how humble and thoughtful he is!
I wonder why it's so hard to have the same kindness towards ourselves?

this comment is so accurate
Jin is the one i looked up to because he's the embodiment of the person i wanted to become as i grow up.
I love this!!!! what a great role model to look up to!
Ah, Jin.
Same!
For real he is I love his personality and how humble he is!
MamaJin 💜🫰🏾
So thank you, thank you so much for this
One of the nicest comments I've read about Jin.
Yes they don’t like Jin talking bad about his skills. Hobi too is a big supporter of his. Such loving brothers.
I'm so proud 😭
Please Army correct me if I'm wrong 💜
This is correct ARMY! He's rather talented to actually start late but still was able to catch up with the other members. He practiced almost double the time the other members do since he was not as good in picking up dance moves, etc. He's also from a well off family, his father a CEO himself. But he still endured training and living in a small dorm with Bangtan coz he wants to prove he can also reach his dreams. Such a great guy 😭
A bit wrong. Jin joined Bighit at age 19, so he started singing at 19 and debuted at 20-21.

Jin is the most kind and loving person I know, his love for his family and members, love it.
I really loved getting to know him a little better through this video!
🙌🙌🙌 totally agree!! And for real thank you for watching!!
- One of his many nicknames is King of Run BTS (their variety show where they did the bungee-jump) because he's really good at puzzles and spy-games and he's funny af. 😂
- It's a known fact that Jin and Suga are the chefs of the group but a lesser known fact is that in the beginning when they were struggling financially Jin (being the only one to come from money) would sometimes pay for their groceries out of his own pocket.
Exactly. He was scouted for his looks, but his determination is what made him successful.
Jin is my favorite I love him so much 💜 Jin make me love myself believe in myself more and more 💜
I bet he would love to know how many people he's helped love themselves!
"Only you have to know how hard you work."
It’s so wild that he didn’t have that singing skill before they found him now he like blows me away with how good he is!
Jin has lots of Wisdom, Common Sense and could Speak Eloquently when Necessary.
🙌🙌 preach!!
I'm out if words! I just love jin.. This is why he is my bias.
Hope more reactors see this video too..
🙌🙌 for real me too! He’s freakin awesome!
I like Jin's song and appearance as well as his warm heart. He is my first favorite idol in my life. Thank you for posting the JIN reaction video.
He is such a positive person at such a young age. My biggest surprise is that from debut to now, they haven't changed ... they just grew up 🥰
Yours, awake, moon by jin really good songs.
I really cant wait to hear that song!!!!
Wow! I got a heart react from @@JohnReavesLive ♥️♥️ thank you.. Yes for sure you'll going to like it.
thank u for your Jin reaction, Jin is my bias and I learned to love him, and I like when people get to know that he is not only funny and crazy, but inteligent, talented, hard worker and more, he is such an amazing person. thank u again, waiting for your next reaction!
I love Jin so much💜 sometimes when I need a good laugh, I watch videos of Jin because he always makes me laugh and puts a smile on my face 💜💜💜💜💜
he is really a very pure soul 💜
Thank you for recognizing Jin’s voice! Im sooo happy! 😍he was of the underated singer out there but not anymore he really shined this time. Also, what i loved about him
Is his outgoing youthful vibe which helped the other members during their struggle time. His optimistic, smart and pure hearted person. You will be ashamed of yourself just by looking at him haha but in the good way bec he gives this caring, passionate and confidence in every person.
I totally agree Candice I really love his personality and the way he thinks, so humble!
Jin was selected for his visuals as he is very good looking.
Kpop groups do that and though bighit wasnt your normal agency they took him.
Well I could see that lol
Jin is a beautiful human being, inside and out 💜
Heck yes he is!! 🙌
If you're up for more reactions on Jin that also shows his precious love for the other members, you can always ask me, I know just where to find the perfect vid :)
Very excited tomorrow too for my bias wrecker's turn, Yooongiii!! 💜
J-Lee for real I would love some other Jin song suggestions! I really love everything ive heard or seen about him, I really relate to Jin so much.... lol on another note, todays videos are HEAVY! suga is such a amazing song writer.
What a great start of a day💜 Jin is beautiful person 💜 I've learned a lot from him and I'll be forever grateful for that💜💜💜
Same here for real just in this one video I’ve learned a lot
@@JohnReavesLive Yup having this thing is not easy its a constant battle but “NEVER GIVE UP” fighting 💪
Jin is such an amazing person. 😔💜
Totally agree!
I'm starting to think that too! lol just watched the next members and I am like.... WHO AM I NOT LIKE IN THIS BAND!?!?!
@@JohnReavesLive im telling ya lol. Each member is precious. Of course you know my bias is Suga and j hope. But I truly love and appreciate them all. And im sure you will too. There’s no way you can’t love them!
I love how you’re willing to open up to us, it took courage and I’m glad you took that leap to share the real you. Love it! 💜
:) for real Thank you so much for this! I really am having a blast getting to know everyone in Army as well listen to these amazing songs and getting to know myself better in the process
jin hummm he was chosen because he is handsome so he is perfect as visual ( that's why he always says worldwide handsome)
his progress and evolution is really remarkable when you see him in 2015-16 and now he is really awewome now.
I love your reactions, and yes, you help people smile as Jin does... thanks
Ana thank you so much for saying so :)
He joined BTS in April/May of 2011, so 18 in international age (not 19 until Dec 2011).
@@Bolachas25 yep sorry. He was actually between 18 and 19. He started singing in 2011, and there are baby armys spreading false information that he started singing at 21
Jin is definitely the member I want to go drinking with. He just seems to be a great person whose personality is top notch.
Jin is getting more perfect when you know him more.
Seokjinnie 💜 Mr.WWH with a silver voice💜💜💜💜
:) So good!
Sometime I highly recommend reacting to these other videos to get to know him:
-Seokjin is a mysterious man by Jinnieats
-Kim Seokjin; a documentary
You are soooooo much like Jin, personality, etc...WoW!!
I 100% agree with this I think his personality is the thing that stands out to me so much about him lol I relate to it so much
@@JohnReavesLive same as you I grew up with a manic depressive mom. Something about Jin's outlook on life is truly soothing to me 💜
I love learning about the reactors as they watch the members videos. Thank you for sharing authentically 💜
I really love Jin's dad's jokes. He is so funny and witty.
Jin is an amazing guy, very funny too and and his voice is so clear. i think you found your bias☺
@@summermontejo2767 Looks are important in kpop (as in every music and acting industry), but if you only have looks and no talent you wont debut...
Jin é um ser humano especial, ele comprava comida pra todos quando estavam começando,e é a alegria do bts, eu sou apaixonada por esse príncipe, rei dos vocais, da humildade e exemplo de sed humano
He was picked coming down from a bus because he is handsome, that it.
I love your reacts they always make my day. You're so positive and encouraging, never change!
Buenísimo!! Muchas gracias por tu reacción y dedicación 👏👏🙏🙏🙏
Son tan diferentes sus personalidades y es tan increíble la sinergia que hay entre ellos.
Jin Jin Jin Jin Jin-aaaaaa 💜💜💜
JOLO YES!!!! lol he is amazing
for me having the same birth year as Jin, I envy his personality a lot..
Jin auditioned to be an actor, he was a theater major in university
Just wanted to say that Jin is appreciated by ARMY. He is beloved. Some of the portion of this video implies he is not appreciated and I have to say that’s incorrect from my perspective. Thank you for another wonderful reaction.
Старший милый брат! Добрый, светлый, великодушный, талантливый, таблетка от депрессии, любимый!
Right?! it just goes to show what we're all capable of if we have such determination!
@@JohnReavesLive Bon Voyage has some of the most wonderful moments of Interpersonal Relationships. I'm on Season 3, but Season 2 in Hawaii was the "Friendship Season" 💜🫰🏾💗
Jin was raised well by his parents and it reflects on his personality❣️❣️❣️
Thank you sir John for this awesome reaction video of JIN..He really is super humble, talented and loveable artist....after watching I subscribed our channel..good luck 🤩😍🎉
Jin was employed as a visual, he was at uni training to be an actor. They wanted a goodlooking guy to be at the centre of the videos they would put out with the music.
Jin was chosen off the street because he was handsome. BTS needed a visual. The bungee is from Run BTS episode 9. One of my favorite.
Anne thank you for that info! that seems so hard to get through into the band or act that you are trying for but I mean it works right?
