  • In this series we will go over using LTSpice for things more commonly used for guitar pedal builders. In this video, we will go over adding components not in the default install, such as diodes, JFETs, and op-amps

    Thank you for this series -- I've always wanted to understand how to use LTSpice. I look forward to the next video in this series.
    Also, please consider a series on how to use _free_ software and minimal & affordable hardware to "make" test instrumentation for audio gear.

    what about adding the 1N4004? i've seen this in some schematics for pedals, nevermind a google search led me to someone else who had it in their file.
    definitely more videos like this and point to point soldering ideas would be great, also what components are good to salvage from old electronics to make fun pedals or amp. :D

    Possibly dumb question here: You moved the Window line under symattr in the tlo72 file up saying you wanted to keep it but then you deleted it when pasting over the op amp, was this intentional?

      I was getting the error "Unknown symbol syntax: Version 4" and it was because VSCode set the encoding to UTF-16. I manually changed it to UTF-8 CRLF and it works now.

    how do you handle a dual opamp like a RC4558, where you are using pins 5, 6 and 7. All of the opamp stuff I see just has pins 1, 2, 3, 4(GND) and 8(V+). A lot of the pedal deigns use both and there is a schematic symbol for UA and UB. Ub being the second stage of the opamp, pins 5, 6 and 7. Thanks, awesome video series.

  • @Mike-gy2xd
    @Mike-gy2xd 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    What do we do for the second op amp of the TL072? Is it best practice to use the symbol created with this method twice?

    • @erikvincent5846
      @erikvincent5846 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      In LTSpice, it won't matter if you do or don't, unlike a real breadboard example, in which, yes, you will want to properly "terminate" the second op-amp.
