The math is great, but there are 2 main things missing here.
    - Layering. Sometimes, when you have layering it's better to have less coverage on another piece if the defense % is higher. One good example for this is the samurai legplates pair better with samurai armor or mercenary plate when compared to a plate jacket, as you likely want to distribute the damage more efficiently. While coverage, especially for chest and stomach is important, layering usually rectifies the issue of an armor piece having worse coverage. Ideally you also want your armor to have the same amount of damage distributed over every part instead of concentrating on certain parts. unlayered armor that gives 100% coverage to every part but 60% coverage to the left arm will often result in your character performing worse, which translates into a worse armor efficiency overall. If the damage is equally distributed to every part, you will have more staying power in the fight.
    - The second and less obvious thing to take into account the blunt damage from armor efficiency is effectively "true damage" that bypasses armor and layers. This results in the funny experience of, despite on paper layering a shoody dustcoat on a character with chainmail and legplates increasing their armor, in reality what ends up happening is because that duscoat is the first layer of defense, and has poor defense values, you take the full cut damage converted into blunt from the efficiency stat to your character's stomach before that damage reaches the legplates or chainmail layer of defense, resulting in you taking overall more damage to an already high chance to hit area despite having an armor with incredible coverage.

Thank you! We go over Layering shortly at the end but not in depth. The second one I wasn't even aware of, so you taught me something new!

i do enjoy this type of content, even if my dumb ass can't fully process this LMAO, but it shows how much some one loves certain games, if they are willing to make math videos
