    I have the exact same setup except a TL10V2. I used trampoline safety net with butyl tape to keep the shavings out of my belly pan. I put them on every air flow opening. It didn’t change the temperature of the machine running all day. I did it after the first ten hours after I bought it. It helped tremendously. I bought a Takeuchi and a Fae based on this video. I am absolutely glad I did. Thanks for the review.

    first time running a Skiddy this past weekend on my hunt lease, truly amazing machines what they are capable of. We had a Bush Hog attachment and the bucket, with the bucket we cleared about an acre and a half of trees and brush for a foodplot in under 4 hours with stopping for water, lunch etc. When I retire and get my farm I will most definitely be investing in some type of skiddy for the sheer versatility of them.

    Great 100hr review Samson Andrew😂. Interesting about the small fuel cell. I think my 080 is about 30gal. I burn about 1/2 to 3/4 of a tank in a day 5-7 hrs of run time. At 4gal per hr you must be fueling twice a day? Jim has been very nice to deal with, and he even offered to drive up and look at the projects I have now and the few I’m looking at, to see if a TL12R would be a good fit. I’ve started on the Farmhouse project, so the ranch is now playing second fiddle. Thanks again for sharing, always enjoy you videos👍👍👍

    I wasn't so sure about your decision to go with a take-your-hoochie, but the more I see you guys work the thing the more I like it. How boring would life be if everyone liked and bought the same machines. Regardless, with the top 3 you listed there can be no bad choices. Awesome vid as always!

    Sam - Keep an eye on the door rollers. Dust/dirt/etc. can jam them causing them to roll on the door pins instead of on the channel.
    We just replaced the entire door on out TL-8 (2015 I think) due to "operator error" The pins for the rollers are welded to the door frame. Was going to only replace the glass, but when we pulled the door, there was just about nothing holding the bearings. Replace the whole thing + bearing = $$ and ^%@$ !!
    Keep safe

    I tried ASV and CAT both brand new last year for a couple of days each. I did not really like the ASV ( rt65) . Cat 257d for me wins hands down. Far roomier, quieter and smoother. Industrial setting on soft ground though, not forestry.

    I'm looking at the exact set up. So far do you have an average of how much production can you get done in 1 day? 1 acre a day in light brush and small trees? I'm in. Central IL most of.my work will be field edges and clearing timber understory etc.

    Sam,
    Did u ever look at John Deere? Or stayed away since u were using them for forestry mulching? I am looking at a Takeuchi 12R and got a quote from Global, but also got a quote on the Deere 333G. I’m mainly using it for construction and dirt work with some brushing work. Both machines seem pretty comparable. One thing leaning me towards the Deere is the service, I live in Sonora and they have service trucks an hour from me if I did have a problem, haven’t heard of service trucks for Takeuchi? Let me know what u think on this! Thanks, love the videos!

    • @VBELTandSON
      @VBELTandSON  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Jared Van Bolt globlal has their own service trucks if you need them. I never looked into Deere. Not many have mulcher on them from what I’ve seen and ones I saw were all burnt down

    • @VBELTandSON
      @VBELTandSON  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      yup wyotech. its a good ice breaker kind of a starter if you have no idea what youre doing and want to learn the trade but it is very expensive and if you have basic knowledge of a diesel most of what the teach you already know. don't get me wrong I learned quite a bit but idk about 30k worth. maybe ill do a video on the subject or find me on Instagram and we can talk more if youre very interested.
