Is it that in summer they like the colder water, but in fall it get's too cold for them so they search a bit warmer water? Well the theory of pikes going shallow as well as baitfish really did not work at all this october when i was in sweden on my home waters for a week. i was expecting superb fishing and hungry pikes like people always tell but it was almost completely dead the whole week. but that's fishing, plus the weather is getting more and more unusual which doesn't help it either ;)
