I was just, incidentally, writing with the 4001 Turquoise as I stumbled upon your review. I agree, the Topaz isn't much of an upgrade. The 4001 bottle, even, is very nice in itself.
Interesting review! I recently compared 4001 turquoise with Iroshizuku Kon-peki, and found that I love the turquoise note of 4001 much better, and kon-peki was simply a bright blue without the hint of green. Do you think Edelstein Topaz is closer to 4001 turquoise than kon-peki? I am looking for a more vibrant, saturated version of 4001 turquoise. Thanks!
I think it would be a great ink in a wet pen :D So that I can some of the darker shades out of it, but that is just personal preference. :) A little tip for the pronunciation of „Edelstein“... :) It’s not pronounced like „Edelstin“, it is pronounced more like „Edelshtain“ :)
Yeah... I knew after I bounced it down from premier that I got it way wrong... lol...one of these days I’ll pronounce something right and freak everybody out. 😁

Oh, I love the audio!
The music audio or voiceover audio?
@@TheInkedWell The voice over, although I enjoy the music as well.
Türkis and Topaz are the same color, or they are very close to identifying one from the other.
Nice review. I am surprised by how much color remained after the water test. I do like Pelikan Edelstein inks. My favorite is Adventurine.
Mine it's Tanzanite

@@TheInkedWell excellent- thanks for your assessment!
Excellent succinct review. Thanks.
I like the Edelstein inks more than the 4001 series. The Edelstein seems to be a wetter ink. My fav is the Adventurine.
I’ll have to try that one.
Thank you. Subscribed.

😂 Pronouncing other languages is tough...
The day will come... and it will be fun :D
