I am actually disappointed in Baran in this episode. As a Husband and a Father he failed miserably. Even though i understand he loves and valued his wife, he should value the life of his son as well and found any way to save them both. He should have stood as a mountain behind his wife and child not a wall she had to get through. I actually thought Dilan was the strongest in this episode which i agree with most she doesn't make the show but she did make this episode as a mother she totally rocked it for her child.
I understand your point but I have to disagree. His first priority is his wife. Then his children if any. Kids will come and go and build a life for themselves. However your spouse is staying until you die. It’s not an easy choice but often the dad ends up not caring or deep down blaming the child for loosing their wife. In her condition, I would ALWAYS held on to the railing going up and down the stairs. Those are some steep stairs. She was careless, even if it hadn't been for Hasan's murderous intentions.
Both Baris and Yagmur really brought the depth of the emotions of their characters. Baran’s fear and refusal to lose his wife intertwined with the sadness of the potential loss of a child and Dilan’s strength and determination to save her baby, yet understanding her husband’s deep turmoil, was phenomenally heart wrenching.
This is a highly emotional episode. This is my opinion, realistically; 1) women function more with their emotions and not logically- see Yasmine & Dilan. Even Gul, crying more than the parents of the foetus. 2) Dilan has been begging for a miscarriage. Hold your horses and hear me out. When a woman is pregnant, no matter how strong and active she is, she automatically is put in a delicate condition. Her body is no longer the same and the baby is what makes her frigile. Now you will say there are people that work till the day they give birth, ok i agree but also ask them if their work load was not reduced excessively and they were not careful about what they do and listening to their body signals. I know you love Dilan as a character, i do too but lets be realistic, was Dilan careful, taking precautions, resting, agreeing to see a doctor without force? You see.. 3) i think she's been brave to fight for her baby's survival. Sometimes all we have left is Faith when all the odds are stacked against us. 4) i think Baran is just been human to want the best option in his opinion out of their situation. With a love like theirs, if the baby lives and Dilan dies, he might end up hating the child. Its a case of the egg and the hen who is more important. * What if the baby ends up as a special needs child with all these situations happening in the mothers womb? As a woman that handles kids i tell you the journey is not fun...even the parents something want a break and they always need help and question their decision not to have saved the child and themselves the everyday struggle. 5) i think its normal for tempers, emotions to fly around during the period of decision making and each party making decisions for the other without their consent. 6) i think this is the best episode Dilan has given us almost perfect expressions. 7) i think its is unrealistic that Dilan should Carry a box of clothes and we should assume it is empty and not heavy for someone just released from the hospital after a bad fall. 8) i think its unrealistic that at least a little fear is not in her to hold the rails while coming down the stairs. 9) i think its crazy, brave and selfish of Dilan to want the operation not caring about Baran's condition if she doesn't survive. Azade for sticking with her plan because she wants a grand child and wanting to incur Baran's wrath. I feel for Azade, the baby is more important than the mother. 10) i think is cliche that this situation is similar to chevriye's in season one. Did the writers run out of scene/story inspiration? Who noticed Dilan no longer call her mother sabiha again? Is out of sight also out of mind?
We see that statement Baran saying after they got home from the hospital so clearly in season 3. They lost their baby, Baran is devastated and in pain but because Dilan is alive and there with him he is surviving. I say surviving because although Dilan is with Baran but because Dilan is terribly devastated and is in great distress she is dead on the inside and that causes Baran too to be dead. He truly cannot live without her. And because she is alive and still surviving, that’s the only thing that kept and is keeping Baran afloat both now and in season 3.

She's only at 23 weeks. Most fetus are Not considered viable until 25 at least so giving birth the baby now would not in any way result in survival
