Hello. You mentioned you started working with NHS after gaining some clinical experience, don’t you need a license to practice as an international student before applying to nhs?
@@connie.e6933 after your first clinical placement you will be able to work as a bank support worker with the nhs trust where you did your placement. They will send you all the online trainings you need to do a well as the physical training. With all these you will be able to work. No special training. Because they can see you are a student nurse who have had some trainings
It’s a major requirement but heard some schools accept waec if it is less than 5 years. I will advice to get the Ielts because with that you can apply to as many schools as possible. Also they might choose someone with Ielts first.
Someone has a D in mathematics in WAEC but studied English Language with a second class lower. Ia also a community health care volunteer. Can they still apply with the D in Mathematics? Or should they write another WAEC to make a C in Mathematics before applying.
Thank you very much for your informative video. Your effort is greatly appreciated. As students prepare to start the Pre-registration nursing program this September, could you outline some essential items for nursing school? Specifically, could you clarify which amongst a laptop, iPad, or notebook is necessary? Additionally, is there a dress code for classes-do students wear casual attire or uniforms? When do students transition from wearing casual clothing to uniforms? Although you may not have information on other schools, sharing your experience from your own institution would provide valuable insights. This information would help students plan accordingly. Thank you once again for your assistance.
Hello babes, sorry it took a bit of time to respond to your question , i just wanted to make sure i have enough time to touch up on everything you asked. Also thank you for your words of encouragement. Greatly appreciated. To be honest, if you are familiar with Uk nursing videos you must have noticed that UK nursing does not require a lot of fancy stuffs unlike our counterparts in the USA. And i will not advice you to buy things you do not need just for aesthetics purpose except you really like them. here are my basic. (Black shoe and black crocs for placement you can wear the shoe when you are on day shift and wear your crocs at night just to free your feet for the night, sets of multicoloured pens and highlighters, a small notepad that can fit into your placement uniform i showed something similar in the video i did on nursing placement essentials, 2L bottle for water and a glass bowl for food with lunchbag, hand cream because you will be washing your hands often, no need for sanitizer, there is sanitizer everywhere in the hosp, A fob watch and a compression socks ). for the second question i feel it will be a matter of preference but i will go with a laptop because its easier for me to do my assessments on it and i am also aware that you can connect a keyboard to your ipad but i personally prefer laptop. you can wear anything you like to class, some people even come to class wearing ankara gowns and all that. i have worn abaya/jalamia to class. Basicly anything you are comfortable wearing. when you start off you will start with going to classes for about 3-5 months depending on the school before you start your clinical placement. once placement starts you will stop having classes and will start going to the hospital for placement. you will have to give yourself enough time to resume early because you will have to change your clothe in the changing room to your placement uniform as it is not allowed to wear placement uniform from home due to infection. placement starts 7am for morning shift and 19:00 for night shift. I hope i was able to answer your questions and feel free to ask more if you have. I honestly dont mind. *cheers*
If one is in UK already with dependants and applies for msc pre-registration nursing, will those dependants still be valid as dependants for the 2yrs programme?
Hello, the dependents might have to switch to an another visa. Because they won’t be able to be your dependent while you are studying this two years program. Kindly seek a more professional advice on this as this is just my thought. Again , if you are already in the Uk there are other ways of becoming a nurse that will save you less money although it might take more time but eventually the goal will be achieved. Like the nursing apprenticeship programme
Nothing much, I have spoken about this in some of my videos. Year 1 starts with classroom lectures , assessments and then placements. Year 2 follows the same trend, sometimes you still have to submit assessments during placement. I think these things were done purposely to make us feel the heat.
Yes babes, not like regular student who have months of holidays. Nursing student only get one or two weeks off in between one placement to another. Thanks for watching 🧡🧡🧡
Please Nurse, I would like to know if one starts this program, are you going to be taught the basics of nursing or are you expected to have knowledge on it already??

You videos have being really helpful. When does NCLEX exam come in for ans international students who is studying thru the accelerated nursing route.
Hello, NCLEX is a licensure exam for Nurses in the United States, Australia and Canada. You do not need NCLEX to practice in the United Kingdom 🇬🇧
@@olatunbosunrashidat oh really thanks for the response, so after the MSc program, u don't write any exams to register with NMC?
