Honestly don’t like that their are weapons outside of the warbonds that can disappear for long stretches of time and the armour is even more of a problem should have been in a killzone warbond
It's typical arrowhead game design. They spend hundreds of hours making sure magazine model reflects number of bullets, give different reload animations to full vs empty chamber, but lmao they ship an underbarrel that's purely useless. Oh, let me guess, the underbarrel launcher is also "just a ceremonial weapon" ?????
It ain't an M203, just a weirdly shaped handguard. The StA-52 actually has an underslung shotgun in Killzone 1, but not in Killzone 2 and 3 - the one in Helldivers 2 is based on the latter, which is kind of a missed opportunity.
you literally can get Super credits playing the game, super store items are never 'PRIORITY' items, those be warbonds. Everything in Suepr Store, War bond will have better.
The gun not having a scope makes it a little awkward. I think those iron sights are crud, and the liberator carbine and the smgs give you at least a red dot. So ill stick with one of them.

would have preferred some sort of actual event, or atleast a warbond. though I presume the reason it's not a warbond is to make it more expensive. Assuming the second wave is about the same total price as the first it's about 4k SC (40USD). I'll be a little more charitable than I really should be since SCs are grindable, imo the crossover is overpriced.
@@ator181All of the warbond stuff are basically cosmetics with some useful stratagems but I wouldn’t call it “content”. The real content we got was the illuminate invasion which was 100% free and accessible to every player. The killzone stuff is higher price because it’s premium crossover cosmetics. The rifle itself isn’t that much better than the regular liberator so I’m not sure why people are crying about this.
@@themissingpeace7956 you're welcome to disagree on semantics, we can just call the crossover weapons armors and cosmetics, and warbond rewards, items if you'd prefer. the crossover doesn't justify the magnitude of price increase it has gotten imo. value is of course subjective and you're welcome to buy them if it's worth it for you, but for me they're not.
I don’t mind it being expensive + in the shop. But locking the armour passive behind the expensive armour???? Hell nah. They gotta make another armour that adds that passive.
While I do think the prices are slightly overtuned, directly comparing them to warbonds isn't entirely accurate. Mainly because of the fact that warbonds require medals to get through whereas when you get something from the super store, you get that item immediately. When you factor in the collab tax and the capability to earn SC naturally, it's not THAT far off. Having them be in warbonds would look better though.
Every gaming company that thinks 20$ (1/3rd the cost of a full price game) is a good starting point for skins is literally mentally ill. I'm loving marvel rivals ATM and it's the same thing like I know you need to make your money but JESUS CHRIST 20$ to get Thor to have a cape???
While I don’t like the overpriced items either( I don’t buy sc anyway so I don’t really mind that much)this is just incorrect, where the hell did you get that number from?
@@carsontinglerI’m starting to think the only reason they added the ability to occasionally find super credits was so that idiots like you defend every price hike no matter what because you can technically grind it. @donovanjoseph737 dude, you dont need to buy it. You dont get some magical p2w advantage that you cant live without, you literally can just farm diff3 missions for a little bit
@@donovanjoseph737indeed. Before I didn’t care. Everything in the premium shop was just cosmetic versions of warbond gear and warbonds are all 1k. That’s fine because there is a lot of content for 1k and I’m fine with that grind but nearly TWO warbond’s worth of SC for the full set, well that is something that would make up 1/3 of a warbond since armor+helm+cape+weapon+banner+emblem is one page of a warbond with 3 pages. Ridiculous.
I think the fact that the new AR only has shitty ironsights whereas all the other roughly equivalent weapons have proper optics including variable zoom scopes warrants a mention
Honestly, I would just wait till the next superstore rotation, the Armor set just looks better, and I’m sure the weapon would be way more worth it; plus with the feedback of fellow helldivers, I’m sure the price would drop next rotation 😅
If I remember correctly, this armor is currently the only armor in the game that will protect you from the bug's acid attacks. The only ones we have so far do fire, gas or electric.
I’m cool with it being in the superstore. The more unique items are in rotation the more incentive you have to keep playing the game and paying attention to super credits found in-mission. The ONLY complaint I have is the SC costs are stupid. It almost costs as much as 2 warbonds to get everything.
The WASP is definitely an anti medium oriented weapon but it can deal with the harvesters in a pinch. Spam it with the swarm mode instead of using the artillery mode than it should go down with 2 canisters assuming you get the shields down first. Artillery mode is for grouped up enemis, so ATM primarily an Overseer in the middle of a bunch of Voteless.
I just hope the Whales didn't all shell out 20 bucks to buy it... if Sony doesn't see an up tick in suoer credit purchases from this, they likely won't do it in the future. I wish this was a mini-war bond, maybe 4-500 super credits for a single page packed with the weapon and armor.
hitting the weak spots on hive guards is so easy that i don't even consider light pen an issue on bugs. I mostly just take the carbine so maybe i'll splurge for this or maybe i'll vote with my super creds n hold back
Reload speed or peak physique is far more impactful as long as the first continues to work for support weapons, and the latter apply to the "shooting" keybind. Imho.
they should have made a unique killzone warbond, charging so much for individual items feels scummy even knowing that they have to charge more for the license
Pretty sure part 1 and 2 combined are going to cost more than the game itself for less than we get in a standard warbond. As someone who played the heck out of the first game and knows arrowheads track record, you gotta be careful who you do business with. This is insane.
Through carefully calculating these weapons via my *super* 🤓 EXCEL spreadsheet, assuming velocity is the same as the Liberator/Lib-Carbine (900m/s) -- the DPS (at full auto), it performs about 19% better than a Liberator, 16% worse than a Carbine, and 44.76% worse than a Tenderizer (set to 850 RPM). Overall a bit middling in damage but solid at fair ranges. Of course, compared to something like the Concussive it's actually a whopping 62% more DPS. Damage wise (Taking median into account between 0m and 500m), it is smack dab in the middle between liberator and carbine. If you take into account when the magazine empties (4.25 seconds), this weapon does the most damage out of all assault rifles in the game based solely on spending the entire magazine at 3612.5 damage. Funny enough, the only other AR that comes close is the Concussive, at 3566.25 damage in 11.25 seconds for one full mag's worth of damage. Ammo conservation fairs a bit better, boasting that larger magazine. Lasting nearly twice as long as the tenderizer, 1.25 seconds faster than the Carbine, and is identical to the liberator at 4.25 seconds firing time. As expected the Concussive is the GOAT of ammo conservation with a massive 164.71% better time-to-reload value. So at full auto, it's about 19% better than the liberator in both DPS and damage by empty. It is about 16% worse DPS than a Carbine, but 17.83% better in damage by empty. Tenderizer is 44.76% better at DPS, but 14.84% worse at damage by empty. Just so you ppl know, this is part of a phenomenon of games under Sony recently having egregious monetisation because Concord flopped so badly and losing minimum $100M and Sony wants to recoup that by increasing stuff like this. We have evidence that it was planned to be a regular warbond (banner)
Yeah these aren’t worth it in terms of price to what we get. Should be a $10 deal at most like warbonds, given the amount of content in them in comparison.
For the rifle, I think an important question is just how many mags the new urban legends armor gives for the gun. If it gives 2 mags, then I think that it has more ammo than the liberators, but idk how the rounding will work with its base 7 mags.
The only thing worth buying is the helmet to color coordinate with future black armor. The armor, cape, and weapon are useless. But the title is pretty cool.
Bile titans and spewer's spew isn't acid damage. It is counted as explosive. Only the zap from illuminates' walker is electric as well as their tesla towers. So this passive serves for 3 enemies specific. Two of which have only one attack that is one of thoses damage. Then the latter is just a turret.
For online I can see why that armor is pretty good, but I skipped on it because I mostly rock Light Armor instead. Ugh, can’t wait to pay for a Light Armor version eventually for the acid resistance alone.
So I played the original Killzone on PS2 and I'm not sold on the assault rifle simple because the under-barrel grenade launcher is purely cosmetic in this game. Could you imagine how much more functional (and worth the SC price) this weapon combo would be?
imagine if they released a star wars crossover where you could get boba fett's armor and there was a wrist rocket secondary and an upgraded jetpack that could hover for a few seconds
I think they should change bile chargers so that instead of exploding with enough damage to one shot you when you kill them they leave a gas cloud with all the same code as a gas grenade
This is only part one as mentioned in the release notes. We can't see the whole picture, but I agree this first wave of items, available in the superstore, is not a good look

Weapons in a warbond is a slippery slope, but I didn't think it'd get to this so soon. Exclusive primary and passive limited until the next rotation? I don't care what the price is, that is fucking ridiculous.
I’m still gonna buy the armor regardless. It already cosmetically look better than the dreadnought armor that makes me look like a puffy boi. If I could change the color of my armor then yea I would run the dreadnought more but it sucks that the first flame armor in the war bond looks a lot cooler but the armor rating is really small
If I'm paying 600 SC for it, why doesn't the StA-52 have the underbarrel shotgun alt-fire it had in the Killzone series? Also, this better mean Sony is bringing Killzone to PC soon.

That and if they ever had some form of PVP in the game to where it became pay to win.
Yeah, whoever put the price at 2000 credits need a mouth full of democracy… managed democracy
It was Sony but at the same time it's not difficult to obtain it.
My ass could grind an hour straight and either the correct straight and get around 3000 SC. So it's not hard to get just time consuming.
@RYZEN-4070-TI-SUPER-OCbro if you can get 3000 credits in an hour please enlighten me or let me come wit you
Some Sony exec saw the cod bundle prices and said “yeah that’s fair “
@RYZEN-4070-TI-SUPER-OC how do you get 3k SC in an hour?
Sucks this was a freemium thing, I'm lucky I grinded a shit tonne of super credits but not everyone has the time for that
Nice to find someone who grinds supe creds but also understands that most people dont have the time and energy to do what feels like a mind numbing chore.
Exactly my problem I manage to get 1 campaign completed in a night due to time constraints makes farming sc really hard
“Dude just spend all your time in diff three running around doing nothing” I would rather literally get a new job to fill that time and get more money. I want to play Helldivers 2, not metal detector simulator
bro they can just spend a couple hours a night doing it. and im not meaning every day. ive been shitting out credits since the new update like nothing. They just gotta know how to properly farm. Moo Deng chart baby, IYKYK.
It's sad to see so many people buying into this nonsense. 1 armor set and weapon for the same price as two war bonds is insane. Sony do better.
Thought we had to buy it. From all the outcry here is seems mandatory 😉
honestly, their money, their problem
You can farm 1000 credits in a few hours at the moment. The "premium" currency is only premium if you have more money than time, which a lot of people do.
@josephsmoth688 Pea brained response ngl. “It’s not mandatory” isn’t a good excuse for shitty practices
@@stephenartigues6027 I didn't lose anything with this. No cent, no battle^^ You: Lots of tears it seems.
I just don't understand why this wasn't just a free crossover event where we could just complete a few challenges and enjoy the new gear. A cool cosmetic event after months of fumbles would give a lot more goodwill especially with the illuminate being released so well.
This decision has Sony's dirty paws all over it.
The answer is money
Because Sony dumped an ungodly amount of money into concord that they are scrambling to recuperate it.
it's SONY....they need to recoup their losses from their big failure that is CONCORD
@@ZzVinniezZ Yeah, I heard people been calling it Concord Tax these days, sigh
Honestly don’t like that their are weapons outside of the warbonds that can disappear for long stretches of time and the armour is even more of a problem should have been in a killzone warbond
It _was_ ... Sony butted 8n from the looks of it.
Having an M203 grenade launcher on the gun and not being able to fire grenades is such a jebait
Are y’all stupid that’s a flashlight
I think it’s just a flashlight
Kinda like how the mp5 can have a light in the handguard
What weapon exactly are you talking about?
It ain't an M203, just a weirdly shaped handguard. The StA-52 actually has an underslung shotgun in Killzone 1, but not in Killzone 2 and 3 - the one in Helldivers 2 is based on the latter, which is kind of a missed opportunity.
Wasn't this suppose to be a Warbond on leaks? Feels like Sony is trying to get back some money from the Concord failure using Helldivers 2 store.
Bro I got the video notification on my phone and it said “Helldivers 2’s First Premium Ass” thought I was trippin lol
That will be next warbond 😂
Sony needs $$
The eagle one warbond. Premium battle ass.
Completely ridiculous that they charge this much.
you literally can get Super credits playing the game, super store items are never 'PRIORITY' items, those be warbonds.
Everything in Suepr Store, War bond will have better.

@@dualyst. asstrobot goty tax

@@agp11001 40 usd game XDDDDDDDDD
I do wish it was a bit cheaper, that new passive is nuts though. I hope we get a light armor variant in the second half
The gun not having a scope makes it a little awkward. I think those iron sights are crud, and the liberator carbine and the smgs give you at least a red dot. So ill stick with one of them.
I don't bother with any primaries that don't have medium armor pen. Especially at difficulty 8 and up, pretty much useless unless you have insane aim.
You're right but my sickle don't miss.
Voteless swarms let you get away with light armor pen weapons. I save my support weapon for the overseers/harvesters and use my primary to mow down the zombies
@@epicgamerzfail4575 yeah maybe they will add a unit that buffs the voteless to make them insanely fast or something like that, as long as you take out HVT the zombies aren't a threat. Much easier than having too many bots or bugs alive.
would have preferred some sort of actual event, or atleast a warbond. though I presume the reason it's not a warbond is to make it more expensive. Assuming the second wave is about the same total price as the first it's about 4k SC (40USD). I'll be a little more charitable than I really should be since SCs are grindable, imo the crossover is overpriced.
4k for all content, only about 2k for bare minimum, still not that good for less content than a warbond.
Probably will but everyone is so reactionary but it doesn’t help that the first dev that responds is a Sony shill
Slightly ? lol...
I love killzone but I’m not doing this.
We need remakes, love playing botzone since the servers are shut down
With this new strat its really a teamwork thing, one person only needs to bring it other 3 can be AT, AS
They can spew out this kind of shit, but they can't fix the audio in the game crackling and being awful.
Also still no DLSS or FSR upscaling when even indie games can do it.
What platform are you on? Sounds fantastic on steam for me
@moogies3754 On steam as well, and it sounds absolutely atrocious whenever there are a lot of enemies or explosions
You're right I'm on PS5 and I don't even have any audio when playing against illuminates lol
20 bucks is pretty pricey for a cosmetic and a gun
A cosmetic and gun which doesn't out perform half the other armour sets and guns
The truth enforcers smg is better in every way than this.. @bostonarchie3194
@@cairnethunderhoof6225at least marvel rivals is f2p. Hd2 has a $40 upfront cost, which makes the $20 even more egregious.
would really be cool if they gave us a non-collab equivalent for the armor and weapon so we can just earn it via gameplay
u can earn it via gameplay. u can find the premium currency in missions. just go farm trivial missions for like half an hour.
@@carsontinglerI’m starting to think the only reason they added the ability to occasionally find super credits was so that idiots like you defend every price hike no matter what because you can technically grind it.
This singular assault rifle costs more than half of a warbond. That is strictly a rip off, and I will not accept any buts about it.
I’m sure at some point they will, there aren’t any other armor passives that are one and done
Ridiculous.
Kinda crazy that you're recommending either of these, given the unbelievable price point.
Price point is zero. Play the game, get SCs. Easy as that.
Yeah guys just no life the lower diff for hours on end. It's that easy.
So you're telling me, with this week's and next week's store, it'll cost about as much as buying Helldivers 2 to get this stuff?
Love this in depth video on the gun! Thanks for providing context along with all the details regarding the weapon!
I think the fact that the new AR only has shitty ironsights whereas all the other roughly equivalent weapons have proper optics including variable zoom scopes warrants a mention
Honestly, I would just wait till the next superstore rotation, the Armor set just looks better, and I’m sure the weapon would be way more worth it; plus with the feedback of fellow helldivers, I’m sure the price would drop next rotation 😅
a weapon and armor or an entire warbond, your choice
I got both, and I'm still set for the next 5 warbonds, so...
@@agp11001 either you've been grinding for 9 or so hours or you've bought premium currency, neither of which are viable for everyone
The first time im disappointed with helldivers, warbonds are good but buying a gun at the half the price of a warbond is sad
With the amount of L’s Sony’s been taking recently, is anyone actually surprised? I mean concord alone was 200million black hole.
You ask that with all the MTX and FOMO practice we see in every (or so) game we have now ?! ... Sadly no, Whales bring us all to the wall !
hitting the weak spots on hive guards is so easy that i don't even consider light pen an issue on bugs. I mostly just take the carbine so maybe i'll splurge for this or maybe i'll vote with my super creds n hold back
The way I see it I've had 100s of hours of fun in this game... I'm happy to pay for more content for a game I love
-so long as it actually impacts gameplay
*Buys the title*
Reload speed or peak physique is far more impactful as long as the first continues to work for support weapons, and the latter apply to the "shooting" keybind. Imho.
they should have made a unique killzone warbond, charging so much for individual items feels scummy even knowing that they have to charge more for the license
Sony charging Sony for a Sony owned IP? 😂
Yea a killzone war bond would have been awesome. Seems strange to release it in the sc store like that
Next we’re gunna get a little big planet warbond lol . Going to be interesting seeing where they go with this system.
Got all the items in the page, tested the gun and armor,it's a good purchase,at least for me
Other than the price I really like this wave of items. I would like it to be down to like 1500 instead of 1975
That's still a 3x price increase from a normal warbond WITH FOMO on top because remember, this isn't all the content.
Full chart below, probably will get garbled by youtube, rip. 🤓

only problem with the gun is that there should be a shotgun option, since the Helghast under-barrel on their gun was always a shotgun
Whats up legend!
That armor passive looks super good but I have a feeling it’s gonna be in a armor for a future warbond
The ar seems kinda meh, but the armor seems pretty top tier. At least that helps save some sc if Im only getting the armor
I wanna helmet. I already have Pew-Pew Shoota to blast, so... only helmet. Thus glowing red eyes are awesome!
The launcher, ala, wasp,it's for crowd control and works
For online I can see why that armor is pretty good, but I skipped on it because I mostly rock Light Armor instead.
Ugh, can’t wait to pay for a Light Armor version eventually for the acid resistance alone.
So I played the original Killzone on PS2 and I'm not sold on the assault rifle simple because the under-barrel grenade launcher is purely cosmetic in this game. Could you imagine how much more functional (and worth the SC price) this weapon combo would be?
It would be cool if the AR had an option to use that underbarrel grenadelauncher. Just like the shotgun where you can change from flechette to stun
They should bring back the Killzone franchise.
imagine if they released a star wars crossover where you could get boba fett's armor and there was a wrist rocket secondary and an upgraded jetpack that could hover for a few seconds
for 5000 SC*
@D3LTA69 nah 2000 SC
Personally I love seeing killzone come back, im glad i farm SC like once a month
I'll be snagging this tonight, got a ton of super creds saved up from playing.
2 warbond in a row YES, but THAT, HELL NO ! I really hope with this drama it will become a regular Warbond at 1000 as every other. If not, Sony and ArrowHead GFY !
This would have been so dope if it was a 10 dollar warbond. Could have thrown the wasp in there too, for a better package.
The armor passive is good, the rifle is meh, and it's not worth 2000 super credits all told. DONT BUY IT!!!!
Democracy protects is a better pick for armor, after all its not the small hits that kill us, but the one shots
they called me crazy when i said the shock baton was a bad sign of premium content...
That launcher looks like the weapons from the matrix moves
I’m fine with unique weapons being available for purchase. I’m fine with unique armour being available for purchase.
What I’m not fine with is prohibitive pricing …
AND
What I’m REALLY not happy about is my lack of self-control to not buy the credits to get them 😂
I don't know how folks use actual guns when the Blitzer is right there.
HOW is the penetrator so low in dmg.
Hi Takibo,
is there a way I could know your game settings and your pcs hardware?
I am currently wondering why my game is so doo doo even tho i got some nice hardware, my brother who build the pc is also confused so I am wondering what your using for the game to look so cool while having amazing fps
what are your current specs?
The price is ridiculous, but running around as a helghast...
Sony 100% force ArrowHead to increase the price of the weapon and causing it to cost Super-Creds
I tried out so many guns against illuminates, but my trusty smg is just way to perfect for me
Do I like the content? ABSOLUTELY
Do I like the price? It’s a bit steep but given we have extra time for this store round I think it’s doable.
Weapons in a warbond is a slippery slope, but I didn't think it'd get to this so soon. Exclusive primary and passive limited until the next rotation? I don't care what the price is, that is fucking ridiculous.
i guess sony is behind the pricing, it's fcking insane
I’m still gonna buy the armor regardless. It already cosmetically look better than the dreadnought armor that makes me look like a puffy boi. If I could change the color of my armor then yea I would run the dreadnought more but it sucks that the first flame armor in the war bond looks a lot cooler but the armor rating is really small
1 burst is enough to kill the tripod with the wasp
I'll never forgive Guerilla Games for giving up on Killzone.
You didn't use the artillery mode on the Wasp. It's much more effective on large targets.
Isnt bile titans ouke explosive damage? I thought acid was only a type of damage we could do at least for now?
If I'm paying 600 SC for it, why doesn't the StA-52 have the underbarrel shotgun alt-fire it had in the Killzone series?
Also, this better mean Sony is bringing Killzone to PC soon.
Ill wait for the light variant
I love the rifle it's pretty much the liberator but sounds better has a nice chunk to it 💪
Guys why don't you just see it as a bonus for all the hardcore gamers who have grinded lots of SC. And the whales who pay for improving our game. Do you really HAVE TO have every thing there is? Can't we just be happy at some point? Huge update couple of days ago and now all that hate. Thought this game had a great community. Save the hate for the Illuminate!
Liberator 2.0? By the looks of it, it seems to behave more like a mini Stalwart that fits in your primary weapon slot.
The reload of this assault rifle is actually the slowest of all of the assault rifles, almost all of them have sub 2 second with the tac reload I think
I don't mind dropping a few dollars for super credits when an interesting war bond comes out. But I just can't get behind this
I don't know why you think light armor penetrating sucks against automatons, you use it for chaffe troopers and then use a support weapon for devastators and bigger armor.
