I'm 4 days out from a SAD-I surgery, and I really appreciate this video and where you're at. I can RELATE. I'm 54, and have been focused on diet, food, body for 40 years. This has been a rough 4 days. Going to use tge tool, and work to get healthy. But I then want to somewhat "let it go." It's exhausting....all of "this." Bless you for sharing everything you have. Nice to know where my eating will/can go. And that a new normal won't be hell. Lots of thoughts...at this stage. But just wanted to thank you for being vulnerable on many topics. 🙏 I needed it....and you/your validation on the same journey, helped.
I have enjoyed each and every one of your videos, but I'm very sad to hear you're not going to continue to give updates precisely beCAUSE you're 4 years out. There are a lot of people still within their honeymoon phase who post, but the truth is where you are right now. You're just an average person, and I love hearing from you. You have great value because you're 4 years out. This is the reality of weight loss, after the rubber has met the road.
I wanted to thank you for your videos. I am a year and seven months postop from vsg. I found your videos during my research phase preop. Our starting weight was very similar and I found your matter-of-fact approach so helpful and reassuring. I wish you the best and will keep an eye out for any future updates, regardless of whether they come sporadically.
Thank you for saying this. I’m on my 3 rd year and feeling the same way!!!! I’m glad you have given me permission to live and love ME!! You are so authentic and I soooo much appreciate it! So glad you are doing well. Blessings for you and your journey
I understand. I had gastric bypass 11 years ago. It was one of my very best decisions. I lost 100 pounds quickly and kept it off for several years. Eventually, I gained back about 20 pounds so I had to take stock and realize that I was off track. I decided to use the Healthi app (similar to WW) to track what I ate ... including calories and macros. After several months, that extra 20 pounds was gone and I was back to the weight I want to maintain. I also switched to a plant-based diet which lets me eat what I want without the need to track ... and still maintain my weight. As a bonus, eating plant-based also reduced my cholesterol so that I no longer needed to take a statin drug. Hurray!
You have been my favourite gastric bypass "youtuber" precisely because of your amazingly clear way you convey information. I am SO SORRY you don't feel beautiful or gorgeous because of course you are, and your honesty and vulnerability have elevated your attractiveness. But I also understand that feeling. I wish you all the happiness and success in the world.
Was really happy to see an update from you! Congrats on the wedding!! I’m 2.5 years post op and have been very thankful for your content. Sending love!

Question for all. Did you have a good support system? And do you reccomend putting together a good team of people?
6:48 almost sounds like you are really really trying to convince yourself …
You're the only person to leave a nasty comment. Does that do something for you?
