This is a great storyline and when you really see how real life can humble you. Stephanie did really great with this storyline and I'm glad they worked homelessness in the future storyline. It's certainly more prevalent now unfortunately. 😥
I agree 💯! That's the real purpose of a SOAP. It's to be used as a platform to highlight global issues that all races, classes etc can identify and relate with and to respectively. The Writers are able to bring awareness, or raise greater awareness of issues that plague people in society like relationships, marriage & divorce, poverty, elitism, rape, death, homelessness and so on. 😔
I guess you can look at homelessness by just what the name suggests. In the context of this storyline, I think it is symbolic of how isolated Stephanie became from her entire family. Everyone literally acted against her motives, and she was all alone in her battle to stave off the divorce. Thorne drew the line where marrying Macy was concerned, and he tried to discourage her train of thought about Eric's and Brooke's relationship. Ridge denied rekindling feelings about Brooke. Spending time around Taylor was not helping Stephanie to force both Ridge and Brooke back together so that Eric will remain "available". I think that even if Brooke went back to Ridge and trashed her relationship with Eric, he would have still divorced her. Felicia kept urging her to move on, and supported Eric's happiness, being in love, etc.. Eric, most significant of all had grown bitter and angry which only led to harsher measures and the threat of not ever maintaining any kind of relationship with her. She coaxed her own self into "being friends" and then forced herself through the ordeal of visiting and seeing the baby, as well as attending the wedding. She stifled herself through it all for the sake of feigning good relations with Brooke in an effort to preserve good terms with Eric, still believing that the marriage would not happen, or that it would not last. She was all alone in this quest and had to conceal the hurt to convince everyone of her genuine 'attitude'. Homelessness is the sad culmination of events where everything around you has failed... or ruined by your own work. Stephanie's desperation has led to what she faces now. A very slow, agonizing and gradual travesty.

How does that now work? - we had Storm handing Taylor an engagement ring and giving Taylor a week to give him her answer how she feels about that, then Storm saying she isn't ready for an answer he gives her another week - - now we have the women discussing Storm and if he will propose soon to Taylor And Taylor thinks it is smart to not anticipate a marriage proposal, even when the guy has already given her an engagement ring?

Stephanie actually sees 2 of these homeless people again almost 20 years later. She sees that guy with the sideways hat taking bottles and cans out of trash can and she runs into that lady with the red hat again.

Who really indulges in a trial engagement? What does the 'trial' involve that is so different from courtship - exclusive courtship? Not the spit-swapping games that Taylor plays... that is NOT exclusive courtship. Were trial engagements a thing of the 80s or 90s?
Eric isn't very concerned. But he also doesn't know that ALL these many purses and ALL these many wallets, that all have their own credit cards in them, are still at home.
I think it is gone. If she had remembered her name, she would have used it (I am Stephanie Forrester from Forrester Creation, and my family will pay you for your help). But she mentions neither her family business nor her name, doesn't know where she got her ring from...... .
