@SpinDoctor91 That could be. The types of movies that are in fashion have changed greatly from those days. These were the types of movies that inspired me to work in the industry, but by the time I grew up and went through film school and started working in the industry, the world had changed and moved on.

Warner Bros gave them $36,000,000 to work on Superman IV, but those idiots used the majority of all that money on other film projects and only used $17,000,000 on Superman IV which is why the special effects in it were garbage. If they used the 36 mill for Superman IV then it would've ranked up there with I and II and Cannon Group maybe still in business today.

@SpinDoctor91 It wasn't just exploitation films becoming less popular, it was the landscape of movies entirely. Part of the reason was also DVDs coming in making owning a movie even cheaper than ever rather than renting a movie at a blockbuster. People now want to see movies with gigantic budgets and big glitz and glamour. There were also a ton of issues with them snatching licenses, not paying the stars or producers or staff.... Lots of factors as to why cannon died off.

i agree, movies like Bloodsport and actors like Van Damme who is one of my favriotes started me working out and taking karate.the run and gun high action type films were becoming dated.that's why Canon went under i feel.they were still making cool movies, they just weren't as popular as they once were.

yes i agree i knew that the changing of the times wasn't the only reason Canon died but i knew that was one of the major reasons it did.

i don't think it was the bad decisions really,it was just that movies were changing.the type of films Canon were making weren't as popular anymore.

@SpinDoctor91 Yeah, it's pretty much just that. I got older and just saw things for what they really are. It is part of growing up. I don't know him personally, but he seems to be a pretty messed up dude. He was just really good at making extremely entertaining movies.
