- Zonhoven is regarded as one of the most iconic cyclocross venues on the circuit. Established in 1958 it ran until 1966 before disappearing only to be relaunched in 2005. With its steep sandy descents and climbs, in and out of the punch bowl, always leads to fantastic racing. In 2018 Mathieu van der Poel picked up a hat trick of straight victories in Zonhoven, while world champion Sanne Cant stood on the top step of the podium for the fifth time in her career. Don’t miss our livestream of this incredible event.

thanks GCN!
Thanks GCN for top CX once again.
Thanks Heyden
belle course de Ceylin Alvarado pour sa reprise 🤗
This is the first race I’ve watched that Alvarado didn’t win! I’m a fan of hers for sure! It’s just nice to see a great race
Jeremy Powers: "Yeah. For sure. Absolutely." HAHAHA
He's not very succinct, is he?
@@raygno48 The first dozen or so times...maybe. After that, not so much. I mean...to respond with "...absolutely..." with just about every single comment makes it seem as though he is not paying attention. Maybe JPOWS is multitasking with commentary and plucking out the stray hairs on his little knees.
thank you :-)
Thanks for watching!
My observation is Sweeck to the that corner the fastest he did all race, and so chose a different line slightly on the inside to cut the corner (to the usual line or rut that supports that turn), leading him to a mount of sand to throw him off. He'll be washing sand out of his ears for the next week lol.
nice
@gcn are you going to be showing the cross world championships live in February?
We're not so sure yet Jon but we're working on it
How did van der Haar, van Kessel and Hermans let Iserbyt get away to take the third spot in the podium after they ride as the chase group for half the race?
@2:11:56 Jeremy burps ha ha
Is Laurens Sweeck a southpaw? He always dismounts, and usually shoulders his bike drive side.
He is, it's unconvential but it works for him
I am curious why isnt MVDP in this race?
he is at a training camp in Spain (getting the miles in for long year ahead) -back next week ;)
At 2:11:56 was that a burp, Jeremy??
more like annemarie best
Just learned this from Cyclingweekly: “The bribery case against Alexandre Vinokourov has come to an end after nine years.
The Kazakh was cleared of fixing the result of the 2010 edition of Liège-Bastogne-Liège in November and the case has now been closed after an appeal was rejected by the court.” Hope it’s not out of line or anything...
Alexandru EPURAN who cares this is a CX race.

admin, please watch for rude comments by your deserved audience i.e. scotlarson0859
his insulting comment re: being a rube were unwarranted. it shows his ignorance in not knowing me at all
We'll take a look into it tomorrow Eric.
@@gcn thank you kindly!
"Rube" is a very offensive term for a racing cyclist veteran or anyone!
Thanks for the great coverage but please tell Jeremy to pronounce the Belgian riders' names correctly
TOON AERTS - It's pronounced TONE not TOON.
LAURENS SWEEK - It's pronounced SWECK not SWEEK.
It's embarrassing to hear him say them incorrectly over and over again when the British announcer pronounces the names correctly every time. Also, you don't need to constantly talk ALL the time. Less is more. The best announcers say less. Let the action speak for itself.
Thanks for the races.
