How exactly does one preserve wealth?
One thing is to attain wealth and another is to keep it.
It is even harder to keep wealth.
Calling my self rich or wealthy might be seen as being ostentatious but it's a fact, I won't go into details on how much I'm worth or what I have achieved so far at the age of 35 but I am sure my investing habit has been a great part of my success. My advice: Don't just save, invest!
I don't know much about these topics but I'm willing to pay 100% attention to any one who can teach me at least one or more.
I am not shy to admit that I am one of those people caught in the 9-5 trap, waking up every day to slave away on someone's achievements. My ultimate goal is an escape from this which is why I am exploring a lot of options like mutual funds investing,bitcoin and crypto investment

You can't blame grandpa for the fear of the future back than. He live through WWll, depression and the Cold War. During the Cold War lots of people build bunkers because of the fear of WWlll. Too bad he did not realize about living in the present and not fearing for the future while raising his daughter. He now realize that he and his daughter need to enjoy life too and try to fix his mistake.

I can somewhat understand their Grandpa's reasons for why he thought the world was going to end back then. If it was during the height of the Cold War, then, yeah. That's certainly reason enough to think the world was ending, because EVERYBODY was on edge at that time, always thinking that nuclear war was imminent, even though I myself wasn't born until 1986.
