Thanks for the memories, had a couple of boating holidays on the Broads over 20 years ago. They were wonderful. Love the big sky's of the Broads and Lincolnshire. Hope to be returning there in our motorhome some time soon.
outstanding video,,views and commentary,,BEST,i have seen,,and far far better than some i have seen,,,,to be shown what the broads are like and not have the camera focussed on yourself, constantly,,is an absolute treat,,hope you post more of your broads holidays
Thank you for letting me know about this video. I am glued to it. Regrettably we only had one family holiday on the Broads, on Tidecrest 2 from Stalham when I was very young. Since that time, the majority of our boating holidays were on the canal, River Thames and River Great Ouse.
One of the best videos about the Norfolk Broads I have watched. I have been to the broads every year since 1975. Now I will live the dream and move there in a couple of months . CAN'T WAIT.
Another wonderful film from 'prsw100', beautifully filmed and very well edited. This film shows the Norfolk Broads as I know and love it, too. The informed commentary, shows the film maker cares deeply, about this beautiful area. And, what a lovely tribute to the late and sadly missed Eric Edwards MBE. May you continue visiting the beautiful Norfolk Broads for a long time to come (and don't forget your camera!)...
Stumbled across your video & have to say its one of the best Norfolk Broads videos we've seen. We are avid Broadsters and are doing the broads again next week March 2020
Kenneth Burnet Thanks Kenneth, theres many more on my website, BBC used Broadophile and Rub-A-Dub-Dub and there’s a Broadophile 2 by the way. Website is www.xscion.org and you can search I der category. Paul
Sorry about Mr. Edwards Paul I'm sure he was a good friend. Great video, great music is it Rachael? what a quiet wonderful place. Hi daffy!!!! Windmills are so awesome there, boats and nature and the one who created it. God bless.
Going in September this year for the first time and this video has really made me want to go tomorrow. Thanks very much to you both for a brilliant video.
I currently live in Spain and Morocco where I keep a sailing yacht that but I often Hank back to spending 6 months of my year living and cruising the Broads ,absolutely stunning wildlife especially the birds
One word... CAPTIVATING . Some wonderful shots, oundtracks and narration filled with lots of infirmation. And what a great gesture/tribut to Eric. Oh and the Ringo star comment had me chuckling lol. I'm so looking forward to my week on the Broads 30th June 2019... 15 days to go :) .... cheer buddy.
Wonderful video, thank you so much for taking the time to put it together with so much care. Your love of the Broads shine through ever aspect of this film and I greatly enjoyed watching it.
Another great Broads video! Interesting narrative, adds so much to the viewing, to hear your thoughts and experiences. Thank you so much Paul for posting another great trip, hope to see some more soon! We are back next month! Cheers Simon
high quality video highlighting the treasures of the broads. it brought back many pleasant memories an rekindled my wish to go back. why go abroad when England has sure beauty on offer.
Thanks Tom, doing some more, at least 3 more trips. Difficult to think of new angles, but the memories cover the flaws! Paul th-cam.com/video/sGPAqed1mg8/w-d-xo.html
I have been on the Broads a few times, once with a girl from Connahs Quay.i was with her sister and brother in law. Next time was with a girl who was my wife . We were on a boat called "Tavell.".I loved all of my holidays on the Broads. Around 1975.
I wish I could live in Horning... such a dreamy magical place... obviously the people that hate it there would prefer night clubs , neon lights and lots of places to go shopping. I really appreciate all the hard work that goes into making your vids... I know they can be time-consuming .
Wonderful video! I've been going to the Broads since I was two, and now I'm 39 and take my own friends and family. This is the best representation of the broads, and I really appreciated everything you put in and all the narration. Just perfect! Thanks
Loved it! We first discovered the Broads while holidaying in Lowestoft at a friend's house. Never taken a boat out - my wife sadly isn't a "boaty" person, but we enjoyed day cruises from Oulton Broad, and on the steam boat from Yarmouth. This part of the world has everything for a really memorable holiday, whatever your tastes.
Beautiful video. Your commentary is awesome. I wonder what you would think of Lough Erne and River Shannon. These two are now connected by sixteen locks and operated by smart card, making them, I'm told, the longest navigable inland water way in Europe.
Hey great video, we go every year and we are packing right now to go collect our boat from Stalham on monday. We ♡♡♡♡♡♡ the Broads :) Good health to you and your family. Darran
I've travelled all over the planet, but this area of the UK is unique, love it. It is peculiarly English, nowhere else like it anywhere. As the old saying goes, "You can take an Englishman out of England ,but you can never take England out of the Englishman."
After viewing this great video, I became curios about the effects of future rising sea levels on this area. I grew up sailing here with my parents in the 50's and 60's. I was astonished to see how much of this beautiful part of the country (along with all those expensive homes) would disappear. One projection has Norwich as a potential oceanfront site in the future.
+Paul Rosebud Cooper thanks, there are four films on the Broads, and I shot it in 4K last year but need more footage, maybe this year. Just doing a series on Beautiful Britain, you may like it. On the TH-cam channel or Xscion.org under 4K.
I booked 2 weeks for sept 2018 on swan radiance from Richardson's just hope we have sunny weather then as I will be on the broads from sept 22nd to oct 6th that year
Great Narration! and love the info you give as well, I've had a boat on the Broads for the last thirty years and living local for the last ten years it gets plenty of use, we are based in Stalham on the Ant, for me one of the most beautiful parts of the Broads, I can honestly say I've never had two trips the same, even different times of the day will bring different things like Otters at dusk and dawn or Kingfishers, my advice to any holiday maker is slow down and take the time to see the real Broads it really is a magical place,,,
TheMowjo Many thanks for your comments. I just shot theBroads in 4K and looking for quotes, may I quote you? Starting " I can honestly say..." Who shall I say said it?
prsw100 Paul! please feel free, my name is Frank but most people just call me Mow , I just found out your a member of the NBF forum so I'm surprised I never came across your videos before, as you know yourself just a shift in the light or a few clouds and there's a whole different atmosphere, I think the bit of Barton Broad shows that well, personaly I never stay on Barton Broad for some reason I feel very uneasy there, plus I've had a few odd experiances there,
prsw100 I look forward to it Paul! did you get lost?? I just noticed that on your trip from Oulton to Dilham you have a map of Poland, for a minute I thought you went Port at Breydon, just a little add on for anyone visiting Oulton Broad during the summer, every Thursday evening they have Powerboat racing, I think it runs from April until September, it's free but a small admission charge may apply to see all the action close up.
This was a really wonderful video, Paul. I'm so glad a stumbled upon your channel because I'm having to do my travelling on the computer now and your videos are by far the best produced and most pleasant to listen to that I have found yet. Thank you so much for sharing them and I hope you continue to add more as I will certainly be watching! :)
Thanks Ian, Part of my purpose is to do what you say! Appreciate your comment. Just got back from Phuket, so three or four more will be coming from there, plus I still need to post at lest three more from Hawaii, and the Scotland Full Film! I shall be three months in Europe in early Summer so many more coming. Take care. Paul
Yes these really are wonderful vids.. and narrated beautifully ... makes them very relaxing... I like to watch them while I'm laying down.. sometimes I might even be dozing off but if I miss anything I just scroll back to where I was
Yes sad about Eric, he was a character! We usually took the dinghy for a spin after dropping anchor in the evening, I don’t think I ever took any shots. Fun when there was wind! Paul
Excellent video, I really enjoyed it. I would love to see a video of the yachts I used to go on in the 70s and 80s which are now mainly in private hands. I caught the odd glimpse of what could have been some on this video. Some of the wooden yachts I went on were Fair Lady, Find Lady, Perfect Lady, Daffodil, Breezy Dawn, Leading Lady. Keep the videos coming.
+goodchappy I see the occasional old sailing boat, I believe in those days Martham was the main centre. I'll look and see if I shot any in recent times. I talked to a man in Horning who had a similar boat and went aboard, I think I filmed it but I'm not sure I included it. That would be the Spring's Tale video. I'll check.
If you want peace, travel the Broads. Despite all the differences the Broads in some places remind me of the Backwaters in Kerala. I've never been to either of those destinations but your camera makes everything possible.
Wow great vid, going to broads in two weeks and this has been a massive help.....P.S why are you not a professional narrator, you have a really great way of expressing your thoughts, I loved the vid Thanks Lee
Definitely a low crime area.. with the exception of a weekend in Norfolk where pubs and restaurants had to close their doors because of Thieves and violence but it seems that was out of the norm . So someone stole $3,000 of donations from the Lifesaver station but again it appears that this was a real anomaly. The fact that one newspaper clipping says a bicycle was stolen tells me that is more likely the type of crime they normally have .
Beautiful and so so relaxing ,paradise.
The best video I have seen about the Norfolk Broads, fantastic watch! Really enjoyed thankyou.
Thanks for the memories, had a couple of boating holidays on the Broads over 20 years ago. They were wonderful. Love the big sky's of the Broads and Lincolnshire. Hope to be returning there in our motorhome some time soon.
Wow, this video is astonishing. Filmed superbly and professionally.
outstanding video,,views and commentary,,BEST,i have seen,,and far far better than some i have seen,,,,to be shown what the broads are like and not have the camera focussed on yourself, constantly,,is an absolute treat,,hope you post more of your broads holidays
What a fantastic video it certainly brought back many memories for me. Many Thanks.

Lovely video.Just got back from my 7th broads trip since '72. Life at 4 mph,it's another world.
Stunning location and awesome holidays whose memories will stay with me forever...
Wonderful video, I think I enjoyed it as much as you guys did.
Sorry about Mr. Edwards Paul I'm sure he was a good friend. Great video, great music is it Rachael? what a quiet wonderful place. Hi daffy!!!! Windmills are so awesome there, boats and nature and the one who created it. God bless.

Very evocative. We loved watching this thanks, and it really reflects what a Broads boating holiday is like.
Thanks. I have filmed many broads films. Another favourite is Rub a Dub Dub. See them all at Xscion.org.
Without doubt, one of the best Broads videos ever made.
Wonderful video, thank you so much for taking the time to put it together with so much care. Your love of the Broads shine through ever aspect of this film and I greatly enjoyed watching it.

Just back from a week on the Broads with my wife and two teenagers. We had a fantastic time and have booked to go again next year
Our family had many boating holidays over the years.

Just love the clever sepia tone effect.
Beautiful video. Your commentary is awesome. I wonder what you would think of Lough Erne and River Shannon. These two are now connected by sixteen locks and operated by smart card, making them, I'm told, the longest navigable inland water way in Europe.

I envy you but in a good way... hope you get that sunny weather
Well done great production!

I'll let you see the preview. It will be a while though, I have about 10 videos to edit first. The footage I shot was better than ever! Paul
prsw100 I look forward to it Paul! did you get lost?? TheMowjo Very observant, but the map of Poland and Germany was the back cover of the book Maus, that Nate was reading! See 4:40, the quiet read.

i don't think of all videos of boating in norfolk that are as good as yours for information.
That's just how I imagine my holiday to be in a few weeks time. only one word to describe it 'idyllic'
excellent
Thanks Des, more Broads coming in 4k with drone too. Soon! Paul
the quality amazing

Correction to my last message, it's Fine Lady, not Find Lady! :-)
4:15 In Norfolk the heron is known as Old Frank after the call they make.
